Hiya Everyone,

Won't be around much tonight... househunting.

We are quite annoyed/upset... we phoned the seller of the house we want (who last Weds said she would make a decision tonight) and *apparantly* the woman who is bidding against us who cannot sell her property is now applying for a second mortgage So we now have to wait until tomorrow evening to find out if she is accepted for that and then the 'ball will be in our court' to decide whether to up our offer or not We are fed up of playing this game she is playing that appears to have no rules. So we are extending our search to other areas within the borough of Barnsley (we had been sticking to just three places, all around here) as it doesn't look like we will be successful.

As some wise angels have already said, if it isn't meant to be it isn't meant to be and we will find somewhere even better!

Say what you want about my radio station, but.......









I just won a Lion King prize pack, and I am now entered into a drawing for Lion King tickets, a limo ride, and dinner for when the show comes to Pittsburgh in January!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are announcing the grand prize winner this Friday. Cross your fingers for me! One of the girls we work with thinks there are only 5 people in the drawing.

I don't have an answer for you LK.....although Lorraine did come up with a good one!! I do however have to share a similar experience. I guess the folks who maintain that AARP mailing list must share it because today I got an invitation to join a research study for people with bladder control problems!

Good luck house-hunting Melissa. I agree with my fellow angels, I'm sure you'll find something even better with much less frustration.

Ok, so what did you win??? I win a lot of movie tickets fro a local TV stations Web site. How fun for you, I hope you do get the grand prize, that would be awesome.

Gail, I have not gotten anything form anyone remotely associated with (my birthday gift from DMIL, she is such a queen, membership to ) AARP. You must be really lucky too.

Melissa, there are tons more better out there. Your seller sounds like she knows how much you like her property and wants to squeeeze you for more money. I would be annoyed, also, however, going out and finding the true perfect house is the best way of telling her, See Ya!

I have been ill all day, I have no decongestant and don't want to try to drive the 1/2 mile to the drug store. DH gave me 800 mg of motrin at noon, it helped some, but if I bend over even slighlty, I am very dizzt. I will send him out for something when he gets home from work. I did get a call from a recruiter a few minutes ago. Temp job, 6-12 months , about 30 miles west of here, but I don't know Visio, so I had to pass. Interesting that I put my resume on Monster yesterday and got a call today. She asked if I had been looking long, I said only since yesterday, we both LOLd at that.

Well, back to job seeking, thanks for the little fun break.

Is it just me or is the DIS slow and difficult today? Every time I try to post a reply to this thread it won't let me. I'm going to try again. I never even made it to the riddle today. This is torture!

I wasn't around last night. Amy came home from school and announced that they were having open house. I knew nothing about it. I put dinner on hold and took her. Her teachers are very nice this year.

In the meantime, I came down with a terrible migrane. I'm sure the teachers probably think I'm a drunk or something. I staggered around the school like I had a real problem. When I got home I fell into bed and let Allen feed everyone our overcooked dinner. I'm better today. Just sore, like a truck ran over me.

Tonight we are heading to a Boy Scout Court of Honor and BBQ dinner. David has earned a few more merit badges. That means I get to pull out my sewinging kit. His new shirt should arrive later this week, so I'll tackle it all at the same time.

LK, how cool is that? I want you to win. If you do be sure to take pictures to share with all of us. Wish my radio station gave away cool things like that. Maybe I need to look for one that does frequent hemorrhoid commercials?

Melissa, something better will turn up if you don't get it.

Glad John was found. We still love him too, even if it is always his fault.

LK and Lorraine - Thanks for the good wishes for the time with my boss today....I'd say that things went really well....she's a little tough in that she approaches her job with the theory that one's bar will be raised eternally so long as you continue to rise to meet it....that theory with my personality (which is not to fall short of a challenge given to me) present a constant need to up my game.....but, I know that the fact that I still continue to want to "play" 14 years later indicates that it's a good match when all is said and done!

Stephanie - I decided to be brave and do my "tour" with my pants ON!!!! GREAT first day of dance photo!!!! Thanks for sharing your smile with us!

A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIMMAR!!!!! Hoping you enjoyed the Prime Rib (even if you DID have to cook it yourself.....hope you had volunteers for "clean-up" duty!!!!)

I cooked my birthday dinner last year, I wanted to. We had Lobster Tails, shrimp cocktail, stuffed mushrooms and I bought a burnt almond torte for my birthday cake!! Yummy!
That was the best birthday meal ever!

Going to see a house in half an hour! My mum will be coming with me, basically it was the only appointment we could get before they close the offer process on Friday so decided to scope it out and just tell, I mean advise Jon on what we should do
