We are planning to take DD to Disney this Sept. She went to DW Dec 2011 with a MAW trip and we didn't have too many problems...but from what I am hearing, she may have severe issues this trip with Disney changing their treatment of people with disabilities.
A little background...DD (18) has a muscle disease and is in a wheelchair. While sometimes she can wait in lines, most times if they are very crowded she becomes VERY clostaphobic (sp?)...and continues to get so upset that she will often pass out.
Any suggestions on how to handle lines when we go in Sept? We chose Sept hoping that it wouldn't be as crowded but knowing that it is Disney and wondering best way to handle he needs???

If you can get a DAS, it will allow her to wait outside of the line, and return to enter outside of the FastPass line, so she will have to wait, but with a DAS, she won't have to wait in the standby line, which should minimize her time in a crowded line.

However, you will need to be clear with Guest Services about her needs, and why waiting in the actual line would be a problem for her.

Also, DAS or not, FP+ will allow you to reserve three FastPasses per day in a single park. If you are staying on-site, and have your admission passes, you can make your FP+ reservations up to 60 days in advance. If not, you can make them in the park upon arrival.

Thanks! We have never used FP much so we are learning all kinds of new things :)

We have travel to DW for the past 4 years in September. If your daughter really enjoys the rides at MK try to attend a weekday MNSSHP. There are never lines for the rides. Honestly I think we waited 15 minutes for Peter Pan one year and the rest were walkons. Now there are a lot of people for the trick or treat spots and the parades were a decent crowd, but most people probably attend for those things. Also food and wine at epcot can get a little busy in late afternoon- early evening. Hope you have a great time!

Let GS know you are a returning Wish Family. I'm sure it's not policy and it was likely just extra pixie dust, but we were treated very well when we returned. In many ways, our return trip was even better than Ali's Wish Trip because there was no "pressure" for the week to be perfect. And make sure you go back to GKTW for a visit :)

Depending on when you go in September the crowd level should be fairly low.

I don't have the answer for you but I am so glad you are returning to Disney and wish you a wonderful trip. Please do let us know how you made out.
