Disney After Hours Reports

I don't think you can call an added extra nickel and diming. It is not as if they are charging you $1 for each bus ride and $1 to scan your ticket to get into the park. It is an extra just like the dessert parties and the Halloween parties. Great if people find value, great if they don't. No one is being forced to pay.

It's not nickel and diming any more than saying the Wishes Desert Party, the Fireworks Cruises, the Keys to the Kingdom Tour or a visit to Bippity Bop Boutique is nickel and diming. They are all optional extras.

Of course the difference is, they reduced operating hours versus prior years. In place of those previously included hours they placed these Pay for EMH events. So those examples are really not good comparisons. I would agree though that $150 a pop is not nickle and diming.

Let's see what the reports are next week when it starts. Who knows...

This isn't extra. A cruise doesn't take away from something else. A dessert party in a roped off area also doesn't take away. They have to close the park early to sell this extra event. This will also force the crowds to another park and have trickle down effects. Remember when Extra magic hours used to be 2 morning and 3 evening? This really is getting to be too much. Soon it will be like the Tennis US Open, you will either have day or evening passes.

I actually strongly believe that they will move to pay by the minute pricing. They will just use the MagicBands to track you. This way they can charge you for extras like being in the park on a crowded day or trying to ride TestTrack at 1PM. They can even tie it in to a charge for "extras" like going through the Premium Queue (aka Fastpass today).
