Is there anything that we need to experience after dark....besides fireworks, world of Color and F! Of course. I was thinking California Screaming might be fun but couldn't really think of anything else.

When they turn on the neon lights in Cars Land, it's pretty neat. Just like the movie. It's usually right around sunset. You can ask a CM.

i believe there is water/light show in pixie hollow. i've never seen it in its entirety, but from what i have seen it's really pretty :)

The teacups at night are the best! Spend a lot of time just enjoying how beautiful it looks at night!

I think BTMRR is special at night. Closed right now, but depending on when you are there it might be an option.

I will also echo the jungle Cruise - it's almost a whole different ride.

The dis podcast had a whole feature about this topic several months ago ... They had lots of ideas.

When are you going? There are some seasonal things at night that are musts for us.

Better After Dark:

- Matterhorn is WAY better at night
- RSR can be neat at night too, racing in the dark
- Dumbo and Rockets are cool at night because you can see more of Disney and the lights
- Main Street is very neat with the lights on
- Tower of Terror overall best night time view for a few seconds
- Ferris Wheel very nice view of night scene
- basically anything high up

I can't even think of the rides I've done in the dark

I recommend doing ToT during the day and then again at night, totally different experience.

And I also agree with the others about Main Street and cars land. Both amazing at night!

The Jungle Cruise is awesome after dark!

We did it (on advice from a friend) and it was awful! We were towards the back of the boat and the skipper kept turning the lights off before our end got to see anything. That being said, our boat did break down and we had to be rescued, so my entire memory of that ride might be tarnished!

We LOVE the Jungle Cruise at night. We've never ended up in the back of the boat, though, which could affect our feelings on it. Since I need extra time (and extra support/arms/hands) to load, we're always the first on the boat at the handicapped loading area. The night time allows a more immersive experience, I think, because you are only seeing what the skipper illuminates for you to see. And, I'll admit it, the "sign of DANGER" always makes me laugh ;)

RSR was great at night. DH and I agreed that we like it better at night than during the day. It feels faster at night for some reason.

Matterhorn seemed faster at night too. It was neat to ride it during the fireworks, as you go in and out of the mountain seeing all the pretty lights!

I hated the Astro Orbiter at night. Too high for me! DD doesn't have a fearful bone in her body, LOL, so her "I want to go higher!" was met with a mommy holding on for dear life! It just seemed higher at night for some reason.

Matterhorn at night during FW is awesome! Also, highly recommend watching the lights come on in CL....right around sunset...so magical :D

This weekend we did RSR right after they turned on the neon, so right about dusk and it was beautiful! We did splash at 10m, and got held at the top for a bit during the fireworks- super cool! We also did the teacups at night, which is so lovely with the lanterns all lit up. We wanted to do Mickey's fun wheel in the dark to see Paradise Pier all lit up, but hubby was too tired. And although it makes no difference for the actual ride, it was cool doing the haunted mansion holiday at night. It made the one hour wait so much more enjoyable when we were able to line up around the mansion and enjoy all the candles and pumpkins lit up.

Yeah it is awesome at night, specially at christmas time, all the illumination gives an ethereal feeling even the Haunted Mansion is lovely.

Loved Storybook Canals at night..though at the time had a crappy point and shoot camera and got toally mocked by the CM..but everyone thought it was hilarious including my DH..:rotfl2:

Seriously though it's super pretty.

I loved BTMRR at night , as well as going to the Haunted Mansion at night just seemed "better".

Taking the train around at night is another favorite of DH and me.

We will be there Nov. 18 - 22. This is our 4 trip and our first durning the christmas holiday

Snow on Main Street, the lights on IASW (we make a point to see fireworks there once, and Main Street once), castle lighting
