Disney after dark

The Monorail at night is great. It gives you a perspective of much of the park at night.

If you're there for a few days and don't mind missing the fireworks one night, the photopass photographer by the main station is generally still there and you can get some great shots with fireworks shooting up over the train station.

And I vote teacups as well. Love it.

BRMRR at night is my absolute fave. Of course, it is closed now, so depends when you are going.

DS14's fave ride is Jungle Cruise, after dark.

On my last trip (August), I rode the Grizzly Rapid ride in the dark for the first time. Best time ever!!

I will agree Matterhorn is better after dark, but it still makes my brains feel like scrambled eggs. :)

got to do a few more rides after dark at MHP in october. jungle cruise was a totally different experience!!

and at DCA the difference between RSR night and day is really cool!

ToT at night for sure!
I just did Jungle Cruise at night and really enjoyed it.
California Screamin for the view
Splash just because it's fun :D

i'm desperate to do splash at night now!

dont know when i'll get to next though :(

Wow... I cant believe I didn't know this but I had no idea that the Jungle Cruise was open at night. I have always just assumed that it was closed because it would be too dark to see anything. That is crazy to me that I did not know this. I am never in that area of the park at night time. I will have to make a point of going on it at night time next trip! :thumbsup2

Ride the train after dark and it will take you right through the Small World lights. Also, Toontown is very cool after dark during the holidays

It doesn't get dark until 8pm when we'll be there and that's pushing the limits for bedtime, darn it. We'll do WOC and F!but two late nights will be all we can handle. We're EMH people but we can't do both.

So if you could squeeze in one ride before WOC and F!, which would it be? RSR and Indiana Jones?

Dinner at Flo's (with a view of RSR going round the track, and Carsland all lit up) is magical pixiedust: & is now a must-do on every trip for me.

Edited to add: if you go during the holidays, try to time a ride on it's a small world so that you get on the boat just before sunset...that way, when you emerge, the facade and the landscape will be lit up. It'll take some advance planning, but is SO worth it!!

i believe there is water/light show in pixie hollow. i've never seen it in its entirety, but from what i have seen it's really pretty :)

We watched the parade near the water by pixie hollow and there is a nice light show in the water to watch while we were waiting for the parade.

Also, there you should checkout the "Disneyland 101 - Disney after dark" podcast for some other neat suggestions of Disney after dark.

Disney after dark is like it is during the day. Only it is night. bring a flashlight.
