Unfortunately no one posted about any opening day prices on the Adventure, but I was able to book today and reserved a Concierge Family with Veranda (4c) for 12/31/26 to 1/4/27. Long way to go, but looking forward to it.

We are finally booked as well, the wait for the itineraries to open up was gruesome... Waiting for the cruise is no fun either... 421 days! We sail 10/22-10/26/2026.

There were strange things happening with inventory though. I gave my TA a list of midship insides on deck 9 that were not in the middle hallway (so under Imagination Gardens). Not a single one of these rooms was available! Makes me wonder if they pull some inventory for big Asian TAs, so that people are more grouped together by country? Or it is an early booking issue... We will keep checking for availability and see if we can move!

German local media is reporting that the port authority has issued a full stop to all port activity for the duration of the Adventure leaving the port of Wismar as there will be numerous tug boats involved. There will be a 48 hour notice. The general consensus (might be that they all copy the one same article though) seems to indicate that she will leave on Saturday 8/30.

There have also been quite a few stories about the people who build the ship. Many workers from Romania, Bulgaria and other poorer European countries being employed by subcontractors of subcontractors. They interviewed some who said they were hoping to get to stay on to go with the ship to finish certain tasks while she is already doing sea trials.

I was dealing with my ESTA yesterday for an upcoming trip to the US and it made me thinking about what you might need for Singapore.

Even if you maybe don’t need a visa, all foreign travelers to Singapore need to fill out a digital arrival card. It can be done on the official website as well as through an app.

One of my experiences with having to get ESTA is that there are people trying to get your money by pretending to be the official site, but actually only filling out the online forms for you for an additional fee. So, make sure to use the official website, no need to pay and no need to give a third party personal info about yourself!

Tonight at midnight we will submit our Concierge request letter for our Jan 5th cruise. Going to request private table for two, character meet and greets and a karaoke session. We did karaoke one time in japan and loved it - they have three rooms available Lumiere, Sebastian or the Muses. Up to 8 people in Lumiere and Sebastian, 10 people in The Muses.
