Disney ABC Swap Sign-ups *closed but in progress*

when hosting a swap have someone proof read your first post, to you it may read fine, but you might forget to put in things, about how many letters and how many people are involved in the swap.

Even then, the person reading it may still not get it the first time. Like me.

I should have someone proof all my posts. Proofing is NOT my speciality. I learned to read using the "ita" system. Where they used symbols for certain sounds and encouraged you to misspell words on purpose.

Ok, I am getting it now!!!! Thanks everyone! I must have stepped out during the important part of the discussion!!!! Not sure... anyway, I GET IT!!!!! Finally... It just took a few, ok quite a few minutes to sink in!!! Yea, it's that dyslexia thing I have, sometimes things like this just don't make any sense to me AT ALL!!!!

OK, I am so not getting this swap!!!! I am really confused as to why we are only doing 13 of each letter???? Can you please explain this swap to me please???? I am so confused!!!!

Not hard with me to be so confused today, Sully is still missing in closet land... He is running amok and I can't find him... Anybody seen him????

I bought some gorgeous frosted or sprinkled or something paper- can't remember what they call it. I got the orange and blue for my Nemo spot.

Don't you know I am one sheet shy of having enough of the the orange. I should have just spend the dollar then. I will not go back this afternoon. It's only 3 miles from here but we have college here and it is graduation. Ugh.


Now I realize, it is Bazzill only. I figured that out. I am using Black bazzill background. Where there is a will there is a way.

But, I changed what I was doing for the Yo Ho spot - well my idea anyway - of what I was going to do . I am now using the Rusty Pickle- Capt Jack line. I love it. My first idea would have been so much quicker though.

You can use Pattern Papers and Bazzill

All cardstock that is used should be bazzill, You can also use pattern paper.

Just a few questions:
1. If I want to print something like clipart onto paper to put on the cardstock - do people print onto the cardstock or on archival paper or matte photo paper??
2. I'm a real newbie so please forgive my ignorance...when you say double matted do you mean two pieces of cardstock behind say for example the tag?? I saw examples (of the pirate tags) that were the tag and then say the pirate skulls stuck on top - so is that ok or would I have to put another mat behind the skull?? (Not that I'm doing skulls!)
3. I'm having a hard time printing onto Vellum - the ink keeps smearing...any hints on how to stop it?
4. Do we post what we're doing as we're going?? I'd appreciate some feedback on what I'm doing as I have different ideas for the pages I'm doing and I feel like such a newbie and don't want to mess up! I can try and upload some photos later if you'd like...
5. I'm so excited I've been to the scrapbook store twice in two days!!

1. I print it on matte photo paper.
2. yes, that is right no need to mat the skulls
3. If you have an inkjet you should set it to best quality and let it stay untouched for about 30 minutes and then you'll be fine, if you have a laser printer it's auto dried
4.you can post what you're doing if you like, it's not a requirement that you do.

When I print on vellum I use the "transparency" setting, set it to best and leave it for a long time. Also make sure your fingers are not hot and sweaty when adhering - I've smudged a few rubbing down over photo splits. You may also find your vellum is smoother on one side than the other - its very minimal, but make sure you pick the smoothest side!
