Disney (9/22 - 9/29/09) Pre-trip Report..the Planning of a Surprise Trip

I have eaten sickeningly well today. And I went to the gym and RAN.

Why the colonoscopy and endo?

You know how to RUN? I never learned... Don't think I ever will either...

I had a colonoscopy when I was 22... And my gastroenterologist had an assistant, well his assistent was a guy... younger, about 26 or so I would say, and he was HOT... Smokin' HOT!!! It was so embarrassing...

Ha Ha!!! I'm right there with you girl!!! It will be a miracle if I will be able to get the DS to sit and eat here!!! When we were there in Dec all the boy wanted to do was join in the antics of the place!! It should be interesting that's for sure!!! Hey we're in Disney thou!

Atleast he will fit in with the crowd and you (if you sit close enough) will be overshadowed by my response to the kids fits and not so good behavior..... Maybe since I have these horrible visions of terrible dining experiences that they will suprise me and be little angels... Wishful thinking!!!

Thanks to having kids running is not that fun anymore, neither is sneezing or coughing hard or laughing hard.... Although I would love to run, I just got a great deal on a jogging stroller at a community yard sale for $10.

THe scopes are to see if he has crohns disease or Inflamatory bowel disease.. or celiac or anything else that may explain blood in his stool (TMI) and his periodic fevers, and belly aches.. Poor little guy has already been through a bunch of tests we are hoping this one will give us answers.. Luckily he is too young to think the doctor and assistants are hot.. I've heard that is really embarassing.

Use the earth with the little paperclip looking icon.. first you will need to pull up your report and copy the http address. then past it inthe link box. I had to play around with it... so that is the best description I can give you on how to do it.).

I am not reporting my Dinner location!!! but I can tell you that one "advertised to be healthy" chicken burrito is 8 grams of fat and 330 calories... Well I got the non-healthy one!!! And did you know that they are now selling CANDY CORN???? YUMMY!!!!!

Does the information packet from Disney come on 45 days or do I have to wait more?? I have to call to check on my flights, to make sure that they are still and the times I booked them for. - I have read too many horror stories. Speaking of flights can I take diaper cream on the flight? They don't sell them in packages of 3oz. or less.

I cant answer exactly about the diaper cream but if you cant take it on they have those little carry on plastic bottles you can buy in 3 oz and smaller. You could always squeeze the diaper cream in one of those. I bought one with a pump top on it to use for sunscreen in our carryon since we plan to go to the park shortly after we get to our resort. Dont feel bad about dinner. I skipped my healthy spaghetti dinner I had planned and we went to red robin. My dinner probably was 800 calories and 40 grams of fat. Not good. I will try harder today!

Ha Ha!! I have a feeling your children will be little angels!!!!

I believe you should get your travel docs from Disney about 30 days prior to arrival. I have however got mine a little sooner then that though.

As for the diaper cream, I would just put it in your plastic zip lock bag that you have in your carry on, it's diaper cream for goodness sake! I acidentally forgot and put my lotion in my carry on that was over 3 oz and had no problem passing through.

Okay so today I bought more stuff.... I am going broke!!

I went down the travel size isle at Target!! (Bad thing to do... Warning!!!) I got some trip essentials... like

shaving cream
toothbrush covers
lotion 3oz.
Q-tips
travel pack of 10 - 4 gallon bags (the walmart size bags..) I know I could have just shoved a few in a baggie but the travel packages are so CUTE!!
Mini Lysol
Fabric Refresher spray - (so i don't have to iron anything that comes out the their baggies all wrinkled.
Travel size tissues

I also got kids Zyrtek they had it for 5.00 (reg. price 10.00) Connor will need this eventually... dang allergies!

I think I should actually sit down (ironic, because I and sitting at the computer) and create a packing list and check off what I have and that way I don't buy duplicates... Can I use yours? Anyone???

So much is going on that I am hoping time flies!

I only have to get a few more things for the grocery shipment. Muffins, and pretzels or goldfish and maybe some chips. We need some adult sunscreen and some aloe. I also need more disney things for their travel backpacks. Oh I wished my camera was charged so that I could take pictures of all of it for the disboards.

School starts around here in a few weeks, then Pre-school starts a few weeks after that. (I am so sad that the summer is almost over).

Holy where have I been??? Its been crazy busy here we have been school shopping and cheerleading practice and doctors appointments... I have been running around like a chicken with my head off. The joys of parenthood!

I feel pretty accomplished regarding our vacation though, I ordered my Rewards card and redeemed my points from my debit card to get gift cards for dinner at the airports (Fridays in Pittsburgh Airport) and (Chilli's at MCO) I placed the order for another pair of black mickey ears and a pink pair to put in our reveal box. We got out Magical Express tags and reservation information, and today we got our mail from Disney with our resort info and the plastic luggage tags. I found some official Walt Disney World shirts at Gabriel Brothers for the boys that I can pack and DD already has one that goes with them so another day of the kids matching!! I am slowly starting to pack the grocery box that will have to be shipped off in the next two weeks so that I know for sure that it gets there without a problem. I have to borrow a suitcase from my mom because I think our 2 won't cut it with the 5 of us. Finally in the packing front well I can't really pack anything without it throwing big red flags for the kids so I will put there clothes in baskets of in outfits so that I can just grab what I know I want to pack. DH and I have decided that we are taking the jogging stroller and the double stroller. That way we know for sure we have a place to 1. seperate the boys when they decide to touch each other, and 2. put DD when she wants to sit, I know there is some controversy over a 6 year old being in a stroller but if she fits and doesn't break it will I say whatever let her sit.

Next week Rinne starts 1st grade, we met her teacher last week and found out that the two boys who had crushes on her are in her class this should make for an interesting school year.
Connor goes next Thursday for his scopes I am nervous beyond belief! I have come to realize that as a parent you are faced with lots of things that would be daunting to the average person. I can cry over the stupidest tv show or over changing my phone number, but when it comes to the seemingly overwhelming things that are going on with one or all of my kids, there are no tears shed, perhaps oneday I will just break down and lose it all.

Well off to bed we are going to spend the day at a campground tomorrow.

Sounds like you are on top of things...

Don't worry about the 6 year old in a stroller, we are taking a MacLaren Volo that I purchased for this trip for DD 5 1/2... I say that it is not hurting anyone and it's my kid...

I agree with the stroller. If she fits than I say go for it. Heck I wish I had a stroller to be pushed around in sometimes. Glad to see you are back on here. It sounds like you have been busy.

Another vote for using the stroller here! We just bought a Mac specifically for the high weight limit since I know we'll use it at Disney for at least another 3 years.

Its great to be back thanks everyone for the replies.

Its funny we have a Mac rally twin stroller and most likely she will sit in there with one of the boys because they can't be near each other for more than 10 seconds.... (BOYS!!!) Its going to be interesting with us traveling with two strollers and 3 suitcases plus the carry all and backpacks.. I think we should hire a pack mule!

Thanks heavens that is over... The scans looked clear and now we have to wait for the biopsies to be looked at. But Connor was a trooper and such a brave little boy!!

We got our Travel documents last week!! I called on the upgrade but was told they were booked at all the moderates. Oh well I will try again a few times and if we cant upgrade, we are still happy where we are and its still Disney!!

I picked up more stuff at the dollar store for the kids bags and for the trip, my hats were shipped and now I have to put together a letter or invitation to them from either the mouse or a princess... hmmm??? any ideas?

. the weather is starting to cool off here, I need my sun!!! I think I will go tanning for the next 2 weeks so I can get my fix.!!! (I know its bad for you.) Its difficult trying to put aside the shorts and tanks to get packed when I need to put the kids is light pants and tee's... Ohio Weather is terrible!!

I just got my laptop back so I can update my report more frequently... (long story about the laptop... but my lesson learned is always second guess the GEEK SQUAD!!!)

Well, Connors labs came back with some abnormalities in them but they say they can and most likely are related to allergies... So the question I had to ask was allergies to what?? He is severly allergic to peanuts and we don't give him any along with any other type of nut... so what is he allergic to that would cause a reaction?? I guess this is job security for the doctors! We have gone to his pre-k orientation... there are 7 kids in the class and only one girl . I have been told that more kids will be joining in the Winter.

I AM SO SAD ABOUT TUESDAY!!! THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Corinne was sent to the clinic at school because she was "Sick" So I picked her up and 1/2 hour later she was fine. (SHe and the Clinic are good friends.) Its also fundraiser season here, I wished I could just send in money without having to buy more junk...grrr.

The weather is warming up here a tiny bit... the mornings are still really cold but by the midday it is nice out.. (Did I tell you that I love the sunshine?)

I am trying to talk my DH into getting the kids a puppy... it would be an all in one christmas present! My mom is getting a Bichon Frise and they had a little boy puppy still there they said they would give her a discount on both the girl (which is the one she is getting) and the boy... DH said only if I cancelled the vacation... (I guess we don't need a puppy!!!)

Now that the non Disney stuff is out of the way...

We down to less than two and a half weeks... I get butterflies just thinking about it... Our reveal has changed a little, DH wants to tell the kids when we pick Corinne up from school.... So, I got a blank card with mickey on the front and a little Mickey gift tag.. We have the Mickey ears in a box (but need to wrap). When I pick her up Dennis will have the video camera ready.. She hates being picked up from school, she likes to ride the bus with her friends. Well I will tell her that we got a letter and package for her and she needs to come and open it.. The card says, "Well, Golly I am really happy to be sending you this card. My friends and I have been planning a surprise for you three. The box will help you figure out what the surprise is... See you soon M. Mouse. P.S. Open the box, now." I have made DH aware that in doing this we are going to here nothing but screams and squeals the whole way to the airport. I will take the planning DVD and I picked up some brochures from the Disney store so that will hopefully keep the noise level down to sub sonic.

We received all the rewards cards that are going with us, I have purchased an extra suit case because 2 large suitcases were just not going to cut it with 5 people.. The good news is that I believe that all our food will be able to be packed in the suitcases. But I will know for certian next week when I attempt to do a trial run on the whole packing.. I will place my water order next week (probably around Thursday or Friday) So If I have to send a box I will do that then too..

We got most of the souveigners (Sp) already.. I have a bag of stuff for Corinne and a bag for the boys.. Its got little Disney plush dolls, Shirts, Mickey pens, pajamas.. I also have coloring books and work books to take... I need some stickers and story books to take. (This is to cut down on the buying of stuff at Disney).

I finished my tip enveopes and I have one for every day of Mouse-keeping, one for all our ADR's, two for the Magical Express, and two for the luggage service... I am putting together Epcot Passports But its not working as I wanted them to so I think I will buy them there or look for them on ebay or somewhere. Autograph books are still being worked on.. I think I am going to three different things but haven't make anything solid yet. I have to get moving on this stuff..

Don't you hate the feeling of wanting time to go by quickly but slow down at the same time.. because there is just way to much to do??
