Mikewdw, to get the definitive answer to your salad question, youre going to have to ask your server (my *guess* would be that if its included with your entrée, it will be included with your meal). When you arrive at the restaurant, please let your server know immediately that you are on the Silver Add-On Plan. Your server will tell you exactly what is included with your meal (and if your server isnt well-versed in the Silver plan, kindly ask them to get the manager for you so that you can be told exactly what your meal options are for the Silver plan). In regards to your other question, I just checked my info for the old 2002 plans -- for 2003 (this year) there are two additional restaurants that require two Magical Wishes: the AKL's Jiko and the WL's Artist Point.
Buzzlady, I just sent a message to Disney with your question. Ill let you know what they say. (I have a *guess,* but I dont want to mislead you.)
Reflection, I am sad to say that the answer is no. And it has been for years. I know this for a fact because I have been complaining to Disney about this very topic for quite a few years now, most recently, just a few months ago when I was contemplating the Platinum Add-On Plan. I asked several different people within Disney if the three childrens activities at the Grand Floridian Resort (Pirate Cruise, Wonderland Tea Party, and Grand Adventures in Cooking) were covered under the Platinum plan. Every single CM responded that they were not covered under any of the vacation package plans (I should state for the record that this has been the same response that I have received for the past three years in regards to the Grand Plan). Of course, once again, I voiced my displeasure with this fact. And thats all that I can do. Thats all that any of us can do. So, if it bothers you as much as it bothers me, please write and let Disney know. Maybe our voices in unison can help Disney have a change of heart regarding those three wonderful childrens activities that are found at the Grand Floridian Resort.
Erikthewise, I am sorry to tell you that an add-on plan may only be added onto a vacation package (one that contains accommodations and theme park tickets). Disneys five add-on plans (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Romance) can only be added onto the Dream Maker Package. And, as we all know, the Dream Maker Package includes accommodations and theme park tickets. Now, for the currently running Fairytale Package, only the Silver plan may be added onto it (and we all know that the Fairytale package includes accommodations and theme park tickets). I know this for certain because I have the Fairytale Package booked and I had wanted to add the Platinum plan to it. On more than one occasion, I was told the following: The Silver Add-On Plan is the only plan that may be added onto the Fairytale Package. I was very disappointed to hear that. The only way I could have added the Platinum package was if I had changed my reservation to the Dream Maker Package, which, for obvious reasons, I chose not to do. I havent decided yet if Im going to add the Silver plan (it all depends upon what sort of vacation experience I want when the time comes).
Now that Ive stated everything above, I must give my usual disclaimer: As with all things Disney, anything can change without prior notice. If you need to get the definitive answer to any of your vacation questions, please contact Disney directly.
