DISmoms Gone WILD!!!!! A trip to WDW without the KIDS!!!!!

drea- I just started to plan our 1st trip to DLR!!! We're going to come out in August 2010, and stay at Disney and Hotel del Coronado (if they're still taking DVC points then). I hope we can do a Dismeet when we're there!!

Loveing the thought of monorail pub crawl!

Yeah for DLR! I've always wanted to stay at Hotel del Coronado, too - DH was born near there - but we have family in the area, so we always end up with them. We tend to go down there in August quite often, so be sure to keep me posted - maybe I can meet you, too!

Ok...back to the WDW plans!!!

Sunday morning Lonnie and I will be up at the crack to check out of our value room and back in to concierge, all in time to be ready to go on the Sunrise safari at 6:45.

At 3pm.....DRUMROLL PLEASE..... we'll be in France for the MAMMOTH MAY MEET! Can't wait to meet all those DISsers and have a Gran Marinier slushie! And/or citron slushie!! My first!! The AKV concierge was nice enough to arrange for us to have a photopass photographer at the meet for 1/2 an hour to take lots of pics- so glad about that, this way we won't have to hunt one down and waste precious MEET time!

After the slushie meet, we may be going over to R&C for a pint with some of them, we'll have to see how it works out. We may start feeling exhausted at this point, so we might have to go back to the room for a nap....because we have some plans for Sunday night, of course...We'll all eat some hors d ouvres in the concierge lounge (I hear it's pretty good in there!), have a glass of wine or two, and then the DISmoms will be heading out for a monorail pub crawl!!! Including a side trip to WL for the much anticipated Gran Marinier flight at AP! It's EMH that night at MK, so we can party til the bars close and catch the bus back from MK at the end. A good, safe (relatively speaking) plan for 4 DISmoms gone WILD!!!

I have to tell you that your plans for Sunday sound so great, starting with the SunRise Safari.....to the DisMeet.....to the Pub Crawl. Oh how can I get to WDW next weekend for that???? Sounds likes a blast. Can't wait for this post trip report!

We'd probably be going to Coronado on the weekend part of the trip-It's your playground? UH-OH...can you say we're going to get into BIG trouble???

It's getting so close girls !! I have 3 peaceful wekends !! The family is going to Ohio on Friday and I am staying home as in alone for the whole weekend !! Believe me I am NOT cooking !!I think I'll do at least one breakfast out and a couple of suppers !! Will be at work for the other supper and I eat there ! I wll be at Disney fo the next 2 !!!

WOO-HOO!!! It's time for the SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!!!!! Only 9 days to go!!!!!!

On with our plans! We're up to Monday morning at some point- after our monorail pub-crawl, I'm thinking we might be worshipping this machine for at least part of the morning-

Yum. Real coffee in concierge. I think concierge is going to be ALLLLLL-right!

So, for Monday, the 4 of us are having lunch at Le Cellier at 12:00. Then at 4:00, we'll be going on the Wanyama Safari (sunset safari) at AKL. Complete with monkey-on-the-roof beer bongs, Kara!!! This safari actually takes place at the hotel's savannah's, and is with one of the animal caretakers from AKL. The animals get very close up to the vehicle, I can't WAIT!!! The safari is followed by dinner at Jiko, served family style AND served with wine pairings for every course. Really, really looking forward to this, lonnie & I thought Jiko was excellent when we were there last year.

Do you guys have anything to add?

Beer bongs. I looked for those monkeys last weekend and they were nowhere to be found...... I only found Jeff who did a pretty darn good job of keeping my glass full by the pool!

Tuesday is going to arrive too quickly, I'm sure- that's when the other DISmoms are leaving.sad:: Maybe you should think about switching your flight, Cammie and calling in sick, Kara! Anyway, Lonnie and I will grab some breakfast from the lounge, then we're going over to EPCOT for a Gardens of the World behind the scenes tour at 9am. Originally, we were planning to do another safari- there is yet ANOTHER safari that can be done when you stay in concierge- it's the Wildlife Discovery Excursion. It was actually created so that anyone staying in ANY concierge room on property can have a special safari, too. Have you ever gone on Kilamanjaro Safaris and seen a vehicle kind of zig-zagging in between all the jeeps, going right into the savannahs? Well, that's it. It's supposed to be very cool- but Loni & I thought we might like to do something garden related, since we were there during F&G. I'm actually a little nervous about this change- right after I made the switch, I read some poor reviews of it (where the WDE gets RAVE reviews), but, for now, this is what we're doing. Loni is going to then rush over to GF for a 50 minute Deep Tissue massage, while I occupy myself at Epcot or sitting by the pool at GF. At 2:00, we're going to the Garden View Lounge Tea at the GF. Then we have an 8pm ADR at Bistro de Paris- hoping for a window table to view illuminations! After the park closes, we might go check out Jellyrolls, since I've been hearing it's so much fun. I guess at some point we'll have to go back to the room to pack up because we'll be checking out on Weds...

Weds, we'll finish up wherever we feel like going- right now, we have a 12:00 ADR for Wolfgang Puck Grand- but nothing is written in stone, is it.....last year, we finished our trip in DTD and had lunch at Fulton's- and THAT was not too shabby, either!

I do believe those Bloody Marys may be calling our names......OMG, they were sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!

Ok so my analness is creeping in here but I'd just like to know when do we actually plan on hitting the parks?

I know Epcot is taken care of but we will ever be setting foot into Magic Kingdom? Kara - I'm starting to rethink going to Epcot on Sunday before the DISmeet. Since we'll be there for lunch on Monday, maybe we should go to another park first thing Sunday morning and then head to Epcot for the meet at 3. What do you think?

As for Sunday night........since MK is open late for EMH, are we planning on hopping over there after hitting the monorail resorts lounges?

C'mon girls - we HAVE to ride Splash Mountain after we've had a few!

What about riding everest on Sunday morning- Lonnie & I will be in AK and done with the sunrise thing I think by 10- I guess I'll have 4 room keys for the new room, so I could sneak over after the safari- pre breakfast and get FPs for EE. Will that work? I have told people to use both their room key and park pass for double FPs and they all said it worked- And of COURSE we can go to MK on Sunday night!!!! We'll go in between bars!
