My turn! Just back from a whirlwind tour of Northern California (NorCal to those of us in the know....
) and still exhausted! We packed in San Francisco, Yosemite, and Pebble Beach in 5 days. Whooped!
However, back on the Dream......
Once again, Ellen is so right! We DID go see the Golden Mickeys! I was glad I was able to see this, after hearing so much about it on the Magic but it was gone by the time I finally sailed. Not my favorite Disney cruise show, but very good!
The theater, however, was beautiful!!!! You really felt like you were in an old theater on land, one that every city has, and has restored from the olden days.......
Loved the boxes and knowing that anyone can sit there! In fact, even just about 10 minutes before showtime and some were still empty! I am sooooo sitting in a box on my next cruise! And I'll have my princess wave down pat, and I may even wear a tiara......
This is how long it takes to drink one bottle of Nuvo.....
On to Animator's and I must say I loved it more than on the Magic. On the Magic (and I'm assuming the Wonder, too) the black and white vinyl reminds me of June Cleaver's kitchen and just doesn't go with the whole attitude, especially if you are there on formal night....
But the NEW Animators on the Dream is really really pretty! Although, it reminds me of a child's playroom, with the oak trim and drawings all over the place. It still "feels" more formal to me.....
Someone looks hungry!!!!
This is how all the screens (or "windows") looked when we first sat down, before they came to life......
The restaurant was also more divided than on the Magic, so it was a bit quieter. On the Magic, it's one big open room and can get really really LOUD! But with the separate areas here it didn't feel quite so large....
Pretty soon our friends Nemo, Dory, and friends, started swimming around from "window" to "window" and kept us all entertained. It was cute to hear, "Nemo!" from kids all over.....
Then the dude of all dudes..... Totally righteous... Dude!
Ellen was right, we were star struck. It's like meeting The Boss, or Matthew McConaughey (ok, NOTHING would be like meeting THEM!) but you get the idea...... I mean, it was CRUSH! Talking to ME! Yeah, yeah, yeah, Joan, too......
Then when he asked about that flashy thing, and we explained a camera to him, he really did pose for Ellen!!!! It was so totally righteous! Dude!
Roland.... what a hoot!
I shall not bore you with duplicate photos of our meals, but it was a really really good dinner!
After dinner, it was time to hit the night spots..... and where do four women go without men?
PINK!!!
Our first favorite bartender of the cruise... Alenka!
We were the only ones in Pink the whole time we were there so we got Alenka's full attention and she was wonderful!!!
Up next, our VERY favorite bar and bartender. At least it was MY very favorite bar.... Skyline.
This was the martini bar, where the skyline changed every 15 minutes or so, and the drink menu was lit up!
The skylines were New York, Chicago, Rio, Paris, Hong Kong. So you felt like you were sitting atop a high rise and overlooking each of those cities..... So beautiful!
I ordered the OohLaLa and it was my FAVORITE drink EVER!!!! It's Bacardi White Rum, Elderflower Liqueur, Freshly squeezed lime juice, mint leaves and soda water. Soooo refreshing and that elderflower liqueur? My new favorite!!!!
We met a gal named Alex. I think I had a crush on her.....
More later. Need to catch up on sleep!!!!
