Ok, guys -- wish us luck tonight...

For the past week or so, DD has been calling us in the middle of the night to "change my diaper". She only wears diapers at night...she is potty-trained during the day. I figured if we are getting up just to change the diaper, we might as well get up to help her with the potty -- with the goal being she can do this all herself.

But just like during PT in the daytime, if she is wearing a diaper, she thinks it's ok to pee/poo in it and she had/has no incentive to use the potty.

So ... tonight is the first night with just underwear...we are expecting many accidents over the next nights/weeks and lack of sleep. The good thing is that DH is not working so we can both share the night-time shift.

We cut back her food/liquid intake at night (nothing after 6:30pm) so hope that will help...and we're trying to make a big deal about being a "Super Big Girl" like her friends. We laid out extra PJs, sheets, mattress cover and blanket.

Any other suggestions?

The only thing I can offer is my best wishes to DD. I hope it goes good for her tonight.

Can't wait to see the pics!

OK, gals -- I think I'm calling it an early night.

Good Night! I am getting ready to go upstairs and see how the pictures turned out.

Halloween Party pics!

For today's party, DD wanted to be a Tiger. Here she is marching in the costume parade.

And then I asked DH to take a pic of me and baby -- remember I'm only 19 weeks!! :scared1:

You both look so cute!

Hi everybody!

I got home a little while ago from my Oprah seminar and it was a blast. We got a nice surprise Oprah herself was there at the end of the day. So we got to see Oprah speak. I took pictures so I will try and post them. Nate looked so adorable, Stacy London was a kick like normal. All in all it was great.:goodvibes

Hey Chele.

Glad you had a good time. How cool Oprah was there. Can't wait to see some pics:goodvibes

It was so funny on the way into San Francisco I didn't even notice that we had gone under the bay, on the way back I noticed it a little more. The biggest thing was it made my ears pop.
Glad you made it thru okay

Good luck. THe best thing we did with trent for night changng was these night time diapers that looked like boxers.

He thought they were Pajama bottoms and only peed in them once and then he was good to go. After we finished box, put him on underwera and never had a problem

So, it is afternoon, how did she do last night?

Aww, she looks adorable

You look great!!. Love the ears:goodvibes

DH got up twice last night b/c she peed in the bed...but he said both times she did sit on the potty and finally has washed her hands by herself (she had trouble turning on the water, so this is a new accomplishment).

Hmmm, I'll have to look for those special underwear...do you remember where you got them? I haven't heard of them.

Hey, Sharky! I knew those ears wouldn't get past you!! :lmao:

There is actually a really cute story behind the ears -- I posted this on another thread but will copy it for all of you!

==================================
Ok, so I had to share this with all of you -- I knew my DIS buddies would understand the most ---

I've been dreamed!!!
Yes, it finally happened to me -- in the Year of a Million Dreams, I got an official dream!! :cool1:

And what's really cool, is that this is my very first Mickey Ears!! Like the real kind!!

Now I haven't told you the bestest part yet!
I got these Mickey ears in the mail -- but they were not from Disney.

Heather (Circusgirl) actually received them in the mail and in her INCREDIBLE generosity and exemplary Disney spirit, she so kindly bestowed them on me.

 :cool1: WOW!! :cool1:

Heather wrote this wonderful letter on Polynesian Resort letterhead even (!) and obviously she filled the box with all kinds of Disney magic and Pixie Dust because I immediately felt like a little kid living out a fantasy! And now I so can't wait to go back to Disney again -- I thought I had it bad before -- that was nothing!

So once again, Heather, these 2 words cannot express my appreciation, joy and excitement but they are completely sincere: THANK YOU!

That not bad.

I think they were called Good Nites

I got them in Walmart. They came in blue for boys and pink for girls

They were great!!!

Congrats on turing on the water:goodvibes

so i think miss gwenie is starting to get jealous of all the baby stuff taking over our room and the office.. :rotfl: she will sniff it then walk away with a mad look on her face.. and we got like 5 bags full of clothes yesterday from one of Joshs friends (alot of it is going to goodwill according to his mom.. most of it is really stained or has holes but its the thought that counts) well we were going through the clothes last night and she came and sat on my pile and would not move.. finiky little dog.. :rotfl:

Hey. Am good, minus my cold. How are things with ya?

SOmeone has been bugging me, but she shall remain nameless;)

:rotfl2:

Anyway, here are a few pictures from Family Pumpin Carving nite at the school:

Here is Trent and hubby after design was picked out and taped to the pumpkin:

Here is one with Trent being silly:

DSCI0318.jpg

They made one of the teachers a mummy and the kids were laughing so hard it was deafening, literally

Here are a few shots of that

The lighting was kind of bad in this first shot

DSCI0328.jpg

Here is a better one

DSCI0332.jpg

Here is one with Trent next to the finished pumpkin. To tell what it is, you really have to stare at it

DSCI0337.jpg

Once we lit it up, I thought it looked great. Hubby did all the work and boy were his arms and wrist sore

Well I don't know who she is, that nameless person, but I'm glad she pushed you and you posted these pictures! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The pictures are wonderful, thank you. I love them. Trent looks adorable as usual and he looks so happy to have his Daddy helping him, that is so sweet. I love the final result, that pumpkin is awesome. I'm so glad he had a good tiem.

That teacher sure was a good sport, she must be a nice lady! :cool1:

See, it wasn't nearly as bad as you thought it would be. I know though, I hate that kind of thing too! There's a bridgge like that in Maryland that goes under the Chesapeake Bay and then over the water and then back under and then back up. In fact there is a restaurant on the middle section which is above water. I feel like you do when I have to go under. Luckily there is an alternative bridge and I prefer that! LOL!

Good Luck Marshay, I hope she does well, but dn't expect miracles too soon I think Kelly went through that with Trent too, as long as there was a diaper he thought well I can pee and poo in this so he did.
