No I am not familiar with those lecturers. That's cool that they have so much to offer at the seminar. Oh I'm a video game freak too (getting Rock Band World Tour this Sunday)!! I've been dying to try out that Wii Fit. You'll have to give me a review of it after you try it out!

Oh I will. I had to laugh. Wii fit and Dove Chocolates too. The list of sponsors is amazing. I hope they give WII's away and I will gladly take one if they do. My kids have been asking for one since they first came out. Every time I figure we can afford one we can't find it. My son wants Rock Band world tour too. I am considering it after Christmas as a family gift.

Stacy London has a show on TLC that she hosts with Clinton Kelly called what not to wear. It is on Friday nights at like 9 o'clock and they take people and teach them how to dress. I get a big kick out of it. Nate Berkus is an interior decorater that Oprah has on her show a lot. Suze Orman is supposed to be there too but we opted to not see her. I am not a Suze Orman fan at all.

Major bummer on your tooth breaking off more and causing the dentist to stop your root canal. Glad to hear that it's not in the front. My Dad and Fil have had a tooth break off in the front of their mouths this past year or so. It was funny when they smiled. They had to have theirs fixed asap. It was silly. Hope you can get the rest of your root canal soon.

Yes Sharky holds the trump card, she has Huey and she knows I'll do anything for him or to see him, lol.

I fell asleep quick last night, thank God. I am trying to go to bed a little later, even though I am exhausted, I'm waiting until after 11 to go to bed and hopefully now at least I'll fall right to sleep. Maybe once I get into that habit I can work my way to a little earlier each night until I'm sleeping quick and well.

Mine is towards the front (the broken tooth) but on the right side. It's just far enough back that you don't see it unless I grin like the Village Idiot! Oh wait, I AM the village idiot, scratch that statement! Unless I grin like the Cheshire Cat. I'm scheduled for tuesday at 4 PM for the rest of my root canal and then we'll go from there. I just want it over with and done!

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is well today. We are having the cold mornings and the hot afternoons of fall.

I have my O! You seminar this weekend in San Francisco on Saturday. From what I understand Oprah has these seminars in different cities around the country every year. I am trying to decide what to wear now. There is a video on the website showing how people dress and I am just not sure. One of the seminars I am attending is Stacy London from What Not To Wear so I am thinking about that as I decide.

I am planning on taking my camera along so there should be pictures. If I can ever figure out how to upload the pictures to my photobucket or post them from my Kodak.

Hi Michele, that sounds like fun. I hope you enjoy it and I will look forward to some pictures. I never tried posting from my Kodak but its not too bad using photobucket once you get the hang of it.

Flu shot went much better than expected. We actually went to CVS and although it was $30, my insurance paid it all, so I didn't have to pay anything!! And DD's shot was thermarisol free...but insurance wouldn't pay for a thermarisol free one for me, even though I'm pregnant. Oh well...I know the FDA says the regular shot is fine for kids so we should be ok.

DD cried as the shot was going in-- no hysterical crying but definitely real tears. By the time she finished her lollipop though the tears had stopped. Then she said, "Mommy, it did hurt a little bit."

Can't blame her, my arm is still a bit sore this AM.




YUCK!!! I'm sorry for you!!! I had one root canal in my life and that was one too many!

I never thought about turning it into my insurance, smart idea. I could have long since had mine had I been thinking! I was too busy harassassing Sharky to think of important things like that. Glad you got your shot and DDs out of the way. She was a brave little girl for you!

I painted last night and then DD and I finished this morning. She really enjoyed putting the peas and mashed potatoes on.

Seriously, I started chewing the gum and then cutting the onion. All seemed pretty well in the beginning. It was a Vidalia Onion. Then I start to smell it so I start chewing the gum harder...then my eyes are getting a bit red so I start chewing the gum like a cow!! Yes, I was laughing at myself while I was doing this...thinking, maybe I'm supposed to chew faster!

In the end, my eyes were all red, burning and I'm crying up a storm.

Next time I'll do the cold water (I store my onions in the fridge anyway)...this works pretty good if you keep doing more water for each section.

But the good news is we are having Home made (ok, the pasta is the oven baked kind and the sauce is Ragu) Lasagna for dinner tonight and I was able to make another one for a mom that just had a baby, too.

Well so much for that chewing gum idea. I think cutting onions is the worse thing, it just hurts your eyes so bad. My remedy to keep my eyes from burning and crying is to go in the other room while DH cuts them, LOL.

The lasagna sounds great. I love the baked the pasta in the oven kind much better than the boil them out ones, they all end up breaking and its such a mess. I may have to make some of that soon, haven't done that in quite some time! Enjoy!!!!

Lasagna was wonderful!! I made a spinach and beef lasagna this time, b/c I'm trying to get more vegetables into our meals. DH didn't say anything (either good or bad) but all 3 of us had seconds so I'll let his actions speak for itself.

On a "bummer" note, my DH said yes to one of the offers...however, it was contingent on the end-client also choosing him...so he interviewed with them yesterday. We basically decided that this was going to be the job. Salary was ok but the benefits were wonderful (like $0 for health care and 5 weeks vacation!!). But we found out today, that the end-client was looking for someone with more datebase programming experience.

So we're kind of bummed right now. The only other offer is the one that would require DH driving 1 hour each way ... and although lots of people do that in our area, we really don't want to do that...esp with a newborn.

We're going to wait a few more days and pray that God will open up another opportunity ... and if not, then that means DH is supposed to take the job that is 1 hr away.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers...I'll be glad when a decision is reached...(and I get the house back to myself during the day!)

Aww Marshay I am sorry to hear about that. I thought DH would have the one he wanted. Well as you said, if it was meant to be that he take the one that is an hour away for whatever reason, it will happen. Give it a few days and see if he gets any other offers. Also, no one says he has to stay there if he does take that one. You give an honest days work for an honest days pay and you are even. If he finds what he really wants closer one day soon then he can make the switch!

I hear ya about the time to yourself. I am looking forward to some alone time this week while DH is away. Don't get me wrong, I love him dearly but i think everyone needs alone time once in a while.

I got to work today and there was a message from my supervisor, taped to the monitor Please note that i have no problem removing our internet access if i findthat we have been abusing that privilege. So im gonna lay low for the next few days (at work, good thing i got internet at home now ) and see what happens. there are only 3 people who work use the computer (supervisor, me and this other guy). The guy that works here is always at a kingdom game site. so i'll see what happens...if im not posting here i'll be posting at home. talk to yall soon. Now i got to figure how to past 8 hours with no DIS

Ok, on Sunday after church we went to a local Apple Orchard to pick some apples and pumpkins. I never picked apples right from a tree before.

I have visions if there being an earthquake and the tunnel filling with the bay water and all that. Not a prettu picture. But on a high note I am very excited about going to this seminar. I envisioned a bunch of lectures when I bought my ticket. I don't know if you are familar with Stacy London or Nate Burkus are but they are two of the lectures we are going to tomorrow. Now after looking at the O You! website I ralize there is so much more including WII fit. I am a video game freak so that excites me.

I would love to have a WII and do the exercise games. I think that is one time I may actually get into exercising. It sounds fun. I've never even tried a WII but would love to!

Doesn't that guy who works there have any idea of how to clear his internet files, cookies and delete history before he goes home? I do that every day, sometimes several times a day, just in case. I never take any chances.

hola everyone..


busy morning for me.. kinda.. been calling around to get an appointment to get Gwenie fixed and i think she knows what im talking about because she looks all worried..

so I make the appointment with the vet and now I have to find a recent edition of the yellow pages because there is a coupon for 20% off getting your pet fixed at this clinic so when Josh gets off we are on the hunt for 2 phone books (im sure i can just pick them up at raleys) we need 2 so Joshs mom has the coupon for Crash.. hes getting fixed soon too..

soo.. with the coupon its only going to be $112 to get her fixed.. kinda expenciver but it needs to get done before the baby gets here.. but then the vet tells me i need proof of vaccination (duh) buuuuut... I cant find it...

where did i have it last?!? oh yeah I gave it to petco when we got her groomed.. called petco "yeah we had it but we destroy things like that because they have personal information on it" what the heck am i going to do?!?!?! if i dont have it at the time of surgery they do it there for another $45.... so i called the clinic that did the shots for us (after about a half hour trying to find their number) and i get some ditz on the phone "im new i dont know if i can send you that information" what that my dog wont give you a dieses if she bites you... your competent......... so someone else gets on the phone and they can only find Crashs information.. so ANOTHER person gets on the phone "well let me search by YOUR name not the dogs.. ah ha i found it it will be in the mail today" ......................... thank god one out of three people has a flipping brain!!!
