Just you and Tomato, or are the kiddos going, too?

All of us... the kids are on break after tomorrow.

Wow, that was way back in the dark ages! I can't believe you remember it.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

If it's any consolation, I was 16 at that time.

I used to like you. :sad2:

Smart ***.:rotfl2:

You had that comin, missy, after that comment above.

Oh wait... I posted the cow first.

Yeah... well I am just advanced like that!

:rotfl:

UJ SAYS:
WOW 40 is such a huge birthday......its like half way to death!!!!
I'm here to bring the cheer!!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Very funny.
You are old.

Or half way to wearing a diaper again!!!!!!

Hey... get back in your corner.

you better watch it, Love knows where you live:laughing:

Actually... I don't! :rotfl2: They moved and I haven't been there yet! BUT!!! I have mapquest and I know how to use it. :thumbsup2

oh, by the way, my in-laws are about 2 hours north of Beaumont...so I asked if I can stay with them next weekend so I don't have to be stuck in the hotel by my lonesome. They said I'm always welcome there, so I will probably go there rather than driving the 4 hours back home.
Of course, Mike might have something to say about that.

If he didn't work on weekends, I'd come back. But since he works 12 hour days on Saturday and Sunday, it's almost pointless. I'd have to drive home after a long workday Friday...wouldn't get home til 10, possibly later depending on what time they will have me working til. Mike would already have to be in bed around that time because he wakes up at 4 am Saturday morning. So we wouldn't have any time together Friday night. Saturday evening would be the ONLY time I'd see him --from 6 til whenever he falls asleep (which is sometimes as early as 7:30 if I don't make him stay awake). Sunday I'd have to head back out before he got home.

He'll be jealous of me seeing his parents, brother, and his best friend, I'm certain. But it just makes a lot more sense than me driving back home. What would you girls do?

I would not drive home. THat is not worth it. Better than being by youself like ya said

Driving home late at night by youself while you are tired is not good idea

Don't fret:hug:

HE  is still at work.

Nice,:rotfl2:

oh btw, it's also possible that I'll have to put in some working hours on the weekend. I'm not sure yet though. It sounded as if I wouldn't...but that could change. The good news is I'll get paid OT, even though on a normal basis I don't because I am salaried. Storm work is different, apparently. I could actually really use the extra money right now, so I wouldn't mind some later hours next week.

Extra money would be sweet at least:woohoo:

All of us... the kids are on break after tomorrow.

wouldn't be be in for a rude awakening if ya ended up on his front step after his comments:laughing:

Hi ladies and gent.

How are you all doing?

/
We are so watching that and Ugly Betty. I have been waiting anxiously all week for these two shows.

I forgot about UB! That is starting here right now. I've got to get Evan and Owen to bed and get Abby to finish her homework and get herself in the shower! Ugh... all before 9! Looks like no Betty for me. :sad2:

I'm off girls! See ya!!

One vote for staying in Texas...

thanks girl

well well,....CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thank you! And I agree with Sharky it is dangerous to drive when you are tired. We wouldn't want you to put your health in danger. Plus the fact that by the time you get home you are going to have so little time to rest.

oh that's right. Finally....a case to solve!!!!

(psst....I actually see it is back now. Did you do that or did Sharky solve it already? :rotfl:)

 i guess it just magically reappeared cause I didn't do anything to it. I gotta change it anyways based on the decision we made tonight.

Wow, Sharky is really good! She can solve the mystery w/o even trying!!

Good job Sharky on getting Leger's ticker back!!:rotfl2:

:rotfl: :rotfl: yeah good job sharky

Hi Carla! Are you feeling any better?

Ok, this just struck me as extremely funny...it was posted on our DIS Road Trip site in reference to backpacking.

Bears can be a menace to humans, so back country hikers may be wise to wear little bells so the bears can be warned off, and to carry pepper spray just in case. It is also advisable to know the difference between black bear droppings and those of grizzlies. Black bear droppings are smaller and contain berries and possibly fur from small animals such as squirrel or rabbit. Grizzly bear droppings, on the other hand, have bells in them and smell like pepper spray.

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: thanks for sharing that

oh girl, I took my phone in there for that reason. I love texts!! :rotfl:

I just got an email about Beaumont...so I'm definitely going. The good news is I can drive out Monday morning. And I HAVE to bring a laptop. I also get to wear jeans all week so that is cool!

I might even drive the extra 2 hours to see my in-laws before I head back this way Friday or Saturday. We'll see...

ETA: Oh, I'm staying at the Holiday Atrium. Which I assume to be a Holiday Inn? Anyone heard of it?

well that's good that you will at least have a laptop with you. Thank goodness for that. Hope the hotel is nice

Well, I was hoping to have company with me (my littlest...Merlin), but the hotel charges an astronomical amount for dogs. I think it's ridiculous. It's a flat rate, even. I could see charging more for a BIG dog, but c'mon!

Oh...you wanna know how much I guess.

Freaking $25 PER NIGHT! I was hoping it would be a pet deposit, and I would have paid $25 ONE time. But EVERY NIGHT? That's highway robbery! It's not like he'd need his own bed or anything. And he would stay in his crate while I was gone (he does at home anyway) so I don't see what the big deal is.

Ugh! :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:
Now I have to travel all alone :sad1:

Oh man that IS highway robbery!! Sorry you won't have company like you were hoping for :( That totally stinks

Here's the bad news...it will probably be TWO weeks, and not ONE like I had originally thought!!!

The good news (for y'all) is that I will have no-one around and no housework in the evenings so I will have no choice but to DIS every night! :rotfl:

I will definitely be bringing my trip notes so I can write my report...

And 2 weeks to boot!? I hope they are compensating you BIG time!! I can't wait to read the start of your TR though! :thumbsup2

WHA?? That's crazy! I guess not too many people take their pets with them.

EWW, that's a long time. Hopefully you won't have to go back at all after that. Do you get paid mileage for your drive?

YAY on the TR!

As long as you get along with your in-laws, I say go for it. Trust me, it SUCKS being in a hotel room by yourself. Not much to do but sleep.

I still like you even though you're halfway to death!:confused3

Good Morning!

Betsy, Trip time already? Wow!

Oh heck yeah...seems like forever to me :rotfl2:

WOW!! I didn't realize that you were going to WDW too!!! Not sure how I missed that but have a blast! I didn't see a PTR in your siggie (or did I completely miss that too?).

Oh yeah! This trip has been in the works since I returned in Feb :yay:

Well, the sea part of a land and sea cruise package would be a new adventure as well. Something we love mixed with something new. I talked to Chris about it last night and it looks like we can get way more for our money with the land and sea package. A deluxe resort (can we say Poly!?) and a stateroom on the ship with a veranda for less than it will cost us to go to DL. As much as I want to go to DL I think it might be out of the cards until we get our vehicles paid off and have bookoos of extra $. KWIM?

Thanks, I'm still sneezing my head off and coughing a bunch today.

Ooooh, I think the Land and Sea sounds AWESOME!!! We have talked about doing that at some point! I can't wait to see if you decide on it...that would be one cool TR :woohoo:

Awww, I hope you feel better soon

Oh wow you leave so soon!! Are you too excited to sleep yet!? I think we all have been dragging getting ready for our trips this year. I know I did before ours.

Yeppers :yay: I'm not to the excited not sleeping part yet. I don't know why the dragging is happening either :confused3 I will say that all of the clothes are packed and most of the toiletries. I need to work on my Carry-On a little more and that is about it!

3 more days...How exciting. doing that last min shopping is fun

I know! I picked up some stuff yesterday. I went to Dollar Tree and got some glow sticks and a glowing magic wand with a star, some gummy bears, tootsie pops and Mickey and Ariel stickers. I already picked up a foam necklace kit to do on the plane...it's really cute and actually aged for a 2 year old. I think that will keep her busy as she likes to make things.

WOO HOO! Did you remember to pack EVERYTHING (including you know who?)

Oh, jeez. Toddler tantrums are no fun. But you know what's worse? Adult tantrums!:rotfl:

You better believe I packed it :thumbsup2 Although before it was packed I had it in one of my baskets and then it was missing :confused3 I found it in StinkerBelle's crib :rotfl2:

Yeah, I think you suffered your fair share of adult tantrums :rotfl2:

Now that is just insane. 25 dollars a day :confused3 Sorry you can't take the little guy

I would defintely stay with the inlaws. I agree with Sharky and Chele, you do not want to be driving back and forth alone, especially with Mike working during the weekend.

4,000 Baby!

You go girl :woohoo:

Anyone else beyond excited about Grey's Anatomy tonight??? :dance3:

ME...ME...ME :wave2: I have it tivo'ing and will watch it a little later!
