it took me forever to get to 500 now im trying to make my way to 1000...i find it rather easy by posting here

this group of people (pllus or minus a few.. on various different threads) are how my post counts got sooo high..

I feel like we have nothing ready (which we dont) and we are definatly not financially ready.. i think soon tho the nerves are going to be more intense.. thursday we are getting the crib and some other stuff from Joshs moms coworker and then in a couple weeks is the baby shower.. so our room will start lookin like there is a baby coming soon..

I had no idea your Dad had knee replacement surgery. Glad everything went well though. My MIL had the same proceedure on both her knees and has been great since. I hope his replacement does the same for him.

I actually haven't been here in a couple of days myself so don't feel bad.

Yes it sure will be nice living nearer to you with the chance of meeting you again and meeting half way to do stuff. That would be awesome. I do hope Sharky will visit us in AL, she never visited in LA but then there is nothing to do there. With the fact that she may get to meet you if she visits me as a possibilty, she actually may come to AL to visit! Woohoo

No we didn't put our house up for sale yet as we weren't sure of the time frame of being here, and DH didn't know yet when he'd be starting up in AL. Now that he knows we'll see what happens. He is considering keeping it because our mortgage is so cheap and waiting until the market improves and then sell it. It would be ideal if we could rent it to another Bureau employee who comes there to work at that institution. I guess we'll find out what is what soon now won't we?

Heck yeah! It will be great!! I hope the lure of meeting me and Chris will bring her down to AL at some point

That sounds like a good idea to keep the house and rent it out to another Bureau employee. Hope you guys can do that. That would really stink of y'all lost $ by selling it. This market is so awful!

Today DD and I are off to get a flu shot at a walk-in clinic...hopefully there is no long line. So this morning I read her the only "going to the doctor" book that I had -- Pooh Goes to the Doctor! And instead of just getting a shot for mumps and measles, of course I changed it to the flu shot. At the end I asked her why I am reading it -- her answer: "b/c we are getting a flu shot today!"

We'll see how well ours goes...

awww, sorry I wasn't around. It's been very sporadic here for the last few months. Everyone just seems to be crazy busy. This is the first time I've been able to visit since Monday.

He is doing well and will start his therapy this morning...sounds painful to me

DD was SO good! I took her DVD player and some of her toys. We were there for over 8 hours and we had no crying or fits, she was so content. Thank goodness! After such good behavior she got a big sippy cup of chocolate milk last night

Thanks Carla He had left knee replaced three years ago and finally had to have this one done. I can't wait for him to be all healed and feel great too! So great that your MIL feels great...that gives us hope!

Seems like we all keep taking Dis breaks lately. Hopefully we will all get together soon

Good evening all!

Surgery was interesting. But oh my goodness the numbing shot was excruciatingly painful. Funny thing. I had a cyst in there that could have been causing all the problems. Either way I am getting painful so this won't be a long visit.

Carla I saw a truck on the highway with the name Leger on the side today. I would have taken a picture but with my numb unusable to use hand was a problem. I thought of you when I saw it.

Oh that is soo funny that you saw that! I have never seen anything with the name Leger on it before. It may be more common there though since Cali is so close to Canada. It's a French Canadian name That's okay that you didn't get a picture. I totally understand. That is so sweet that you thought of me!

Hi Michele, I'm glad you were able to get on and tell us you were okay. I can only imagine how painful that shot was to numb you. That sounds horrible. I hope the surgery was a success. How long before you can use your hand and know if it was successful?

Get some rest and take care of yourself, watch that wrist and don't overdo it!

Hello Ladies, just a quick post as I will be going to bed shortly. I am exhausted. I still have to walk the dog one more time before I put him to bed for the night and I think tonight just maybe I will fall right to sleep. That doesn't happen often, which of course, is why i am always tired.

Sorry you haven't been getting good rest lately MomMom. I have a hard time falling right to sleep too unless I'm ultra tired. Hope you slept better.

Oh that is great, so this is the 2nd one. My MIL had one at a time done as well. One right after me and Chris got married and the other a few years later like your Dad. My MIL always talks about how grateful she is to be able to have that done and not have to hobble around. You'll have to let me know how your Dad feels after he's done with his therapy. It really does make such a huge differance.

Yes, it does seem that way. I hope so too!
