I am nervous about my first weigh in tomorrow. I've done much better that I thought I would this week, and it's mostly from knowing the results would be on here!!

I did have a little scar on the Elpti-kill this morning. I can only do five minutes, but when I got to about 4:30, I suddenly couldn't catch my breath!! I pushed through, but I was wasted by the end!! I don't know what that was all about. I was fine after a few minutes. I guess I didn't realize how out of shape I really am. I went on and did the weights.

Wow Lynn, that does sound a little alarming. Were you dehydrated or anything? Hopefully next time you'll have a better experience

Hey all,
I'm down 1.8 this week!! I thought for sure (like the rest of you it sounds) that I'd be up or at least even this week, but I guess keeping up the exercise really does help. and I have been drinking a ton of water and that always helps me.

Phew....now to make good weekend choices...that will be difficult!

It looks like I am at no loss this week, my scale is difficult to read though so it could be up down a pound and I would not be able to tell. :confused3
 
Hi. I've been lurking on the trip reports for about a week now and just found this group (THanks UtahMama for pointing it out in one of your trip reports!) Anyway, I am always trying to lose weight. It was easier when I lived in Florida because I had a constant reminder. I always said, As long as I can still fit through the turnstiles and on to the ride at Space Mountain, I'm ok.:rotfl: Now that I live in Missouri, I don't have the constant reminder. And let's face it, it's time to lose. I was really successful on Nutrisystem 2 years ago, but they changed their recipes and added more soy. Turns out, I'm allergic to soy.:confused3 So, here I am joining my new Dis friends in a hopefully successful attempt to lose weight.

Short term goal: 10 pounds/month
Disney goal (for trip in October): 65 pounds lost
Before I die goal: to weigh 150 pounds (and I'm not quite brave enough to post how much I have to lose to make that.)

Thanks for all the inspiration this place provides. Oh wait, when is weigh in day???

Welcome Stacy, I think it is great that you have decided to take control and start losing the weight, we are all in the same boat here so don't feel shy or nervous about posting when you have an issue/problem you need to vent about. We are here to help you and support you along the way. :hug:

Weigh-in days are Friday so you picked a great day to join.

Add me to the losers. I am down 2.4 lbs!! I am so happy!!! Now comes the weekend though, which is always the hardest for me. I've got a list of things I want to get done so maybe I won't be eating constantly for two days straight. One of which is my trip report update! I've got to get it done, but I've just not been to inspired lately.

Sorry my weighin is so late. I work the 6 am shift on Fridays so I'll probably always be the last.
 
Wow everyone is doing great! I was just wondering what kind of tricks people have to not snack? That is my bigges issue.. especially when I am at work. I work on a computer all day so I am always munching on something. Any help would be great.

Mine is gum and water. Rid your desk of all snacks and keep some sugarfree gum at your desk instead. Also fill up a see through jug with water and drink that. That way you can see the amount of water you are drinking in a day.

Water is my trick. If I drink tons of water, I don't feel as hungry. But then I have to go to the bathroom all the time.

I also try to make sure my snacks are fruits or veggies.

As for snacking - I too have a hard time especially when I'm stressed. I try to not keep snacky stuff around the house - if it is here I will eat it. Also, the water thing is great. Often when I feel hungry I will get a big glass of water and it helps. :)

It is gonna be so hard not to overeat this weekend because I am a stress eater. I got my haircut this morning and I do not like it! I'm getting a body wave put in it next Saturday (not enough time today),and I'm sure I'll like it better then. I'm trying to avoid mirrors! :rotfl: It's been so long since I did anything different to it. It'll probably just take some getting used to. I was hoping to look younger, but I think I look older! :eek:
