DISing Weightloss Club

Just want to give you a quick update. Still no loss for me :confused3 I'm so confused as to why. My eating is on track, my exercise is getting better. I go back to the doctor this week for my thyroid check up, I'm going to talk to him about it. I thought my thyroid meds were going to help me, not make me gain weight?:confused:

How long have you been going at it for?

As weird as it sounds... I had been dieting since 2006... and during that time I was dating my boyfriend. I watched what I ate... exercised... I never lost weight.. well lost more than 10 pounds. But since we broke up (in January) and two years later... I've finally started to actually lose weight... (and shh... I hadn't been exercising until last week).

I still talk and hang out with him... but perhaps he was a "toxic" person...

Either way sometimes it just takes a while for weighloss to kick in. If you changed your diet sometimes it takes a bit of time for your metabolism to adjust. And sometimes you lose some and sometimes you don't. For January I lost 5.8#, Feb 6#, March... 1.6#.
 
Well I slipped up bad this weekend, but it was expected. Friday night i went out dancing with some friends and only had 1 drink, I also woke up Saturday morning and went to Jazzercise. But Saturday night was a going away party for my best friend and it wasn't pretty. Let's just say I quickly went from 31 year old mature adult to 19 year old playing Beer pong and doing shots. My body was not very happy at all on Sunday and I had to skip out on Jazzercise.
Hopefully this week will be better.

We are trying out one of the tours they do, I think it is called the Family Magic tour.. or something like that.. it is a 2.5 tour of Magic Kingdom with a scavenger hunt and stuff. We are doing that Thursday. Should be a blast. It isn't coming fast enough though. I need a vacation bad!
 
I had a bad weekend as well. We were celebrating my brothers birthday so we went out to eat and then we had cake, which I had way too much off. I have been doing better today though, hopefully I will keep it up the rest of the week.

My daughter and I did this tour last October. It was lots of fun! I hope you enjoy it! :)
 
Can I join in with you all? I haven't read the entire thread yet. I have lost 33 pounds since January and still would like to lose another 60. I am on the smart for life diet (www.smartforlife.com) and it is a great diet for me. I know a lot of people think I am crazy for doing the cookie diet but it works.

Welcome to you!! It doesn't sound crazy. It's whatever works for you. let us know how you are doing. Post as much as you need. There are good people here.

My Sunday was pretty bad but I've been good so far today. I'm on week two of the Couch to 5K. It is tough, because I've never been a runner, but I'm starting to like it. Gotta go to bed. Early shift tomorrow.

I think that diet sounds great. It seems to work wonderfully for the people who try it!

That cookie diet sounds interesting. I had never heard of it before. Good for you for losing 33 lbs. I say if it works for you....do it.

I had an interesting weekend. It was my youngest birthday, she turned 2. So we had the inlaws in. Out to dinner the whole time. (back to our fav mexican place) Plus the stress eating ( I love them but they drive me CRAZY!!)

Hopefully I can get back on track now that they are gone.

I will have my weekly weigh in on Thursday and then we are heading out of town for my sister in laws wedding. I think I will have to cheat for the first time and not by choice. I am just going to eat very little portions and hope it does not mess me up.

I really want to be down another jean size by the time we take our trip to San Diego in June. My big goal though is to be to my goal weight by the time we go back to WDW in Sept. 2009. I really hated how I looked in the pictures on our last trip and I don't want to see that again.

We have very similar goals. I hated the way I looked in my Disney photos so I want to be down a few sizes by my mid-August trip and hopefully I will be near my goal weight by the time I go on my cruise.

In a feat of superhuman strength, I turned down Dairy Queen tonight when DH asked if I wanted to go get a DQ treat!:cheer2:

Thinking about this thread helped me to just say no.
