Welcome Holly! The more the merrier! I am really excited about this thread!
Thanks again for starting it.

I would love to start in this group!! My name is Holly and I am 22 years old. I am severely overweight and want to change that. I know I need to start small with what I want to lose. I am the person who says "When it gets warmer I am going to start walking" lol....![]()
Lessa, it was kind of ironic that you looked at the couch potato to 5K because I was looking at that also. And thought that is my goal to start that. But first I need to start with the basic exercising..Where did you buy your Biggest Loser workout DVD? I would love to look for that and start with that at home.
My first goal is going to be 30 pounds. I don't know how long I am giving myself to achieve that goal I just want to see how I progress after about two weeks. My ultimate weight loss I want to lose about 130 pounds. With being 5'7' I wouldn't look right if I was really small..lol...![]()
I am so excited to be in this group...if I am welcome..lol...I visit the TR a lot but since I'm not going til October I don't have one yet..But I do hava pre TR started on those boards..It is slowly coming together![]()
177.8 today.
WElcome all!
No running for me. Hips can't handle it. I walk in the summer and I WAS swimming at my gym, but got out of the habit. Hopefully, this group will gt me off of my butt.
With me it is my chest that can't handle the running. I have yet to find a truly supportive workout bra.![]()
This group makes me wanna get up and dance..lol..I have an adrenaline rush right now!! Me and my bf our taking me, him, my nephew, and my brother to a car show tonight so I know I will get plenty of walking done there and tomrorow me and Mom are going to the mall..I will get walking in there too..And we don't have a scale in our house...I have put that on my Target shopping list for today!!
I have mixed feelings about scales. I think they can be a good motivator, IF you're losing. But, when that scale doesn't move even though you're working hard, it can be depressing and have the opposite effect. I remember when I lost 20 lbs two years ago it took a while for the scale to start showing the results. However, I could tell I was making progress because I could see it in the mirror. A friend of mine was losing a lot quicker, yet I was working harder. It really got to me some days, but I kept plugging along and finally was rewarded on the scale.
I'm pretty sure Goddess has one that's pretty good. I usally just double with regular (non u-wire) under a "band squeezer". I wear an H cup, so I know how hard it can be.![]()
I plan to only weigh myself on weigh-in day though so I don't get obsessive with it.
My name is Debbie and i weigh too much!
I wanted to find a pic that looked good, but then I thought hell...If I look fat in it, I will only look better to everyone later![]()
