Hi Disigners :wave2:

All your designs are so amazing and I was hoping someone might want to help me with a CD Label - We have made up a CD for our guests for our DCL wedding & holiday and I really wanted a special label for the CD?

Can anyone help me? :worship:

I would be happy to attempt this. What wording do you want on the label? You could put your names and the date of the cruise or date of the wedding...

Would something like this work...do you like the ship and/or the Minnie and Mickey? Or do you want something a little more formal?

CDWeddingCruise.jpg

Also, I can make a matching CD Cover if you would like...

Not OP here but I really am interested in this also for a FE gift we are working on. Could you make me one without Mickey and Minnie and put Disney Magic August 22 - 29, 2009. Would love the matching CD cover, too if possible.

thanks so much in advance-

Will this work for your FE gift? I can take Mickey off if you don't want him. Also, on the cover I can add a color to the background behind the Mickey image side...but I thought you might like to conserve a little bit of printer ink. Also, if I can add "from the XYZ family"...just let me know

That is soo cool :worship: thank you thank you thank you :flower3:

If it's not too much trouble could we have wording like "Vanessa & Matt’s Magical Wedding Cruise November 28 2009”

I was thinking Magical as we are sailing on the Magic but, It’s doesn’t have to be all in one line or anything, and if it doesn’t work or fit that cool.

I would love a matching cover – I didn’t even think of that you are the best :cheer2:

And one last request (if it’s possible could we have Ariel & Eric? Instead of Mickey & Minnie?) I am trying to have them as our theme but it’s harder than I though to find wedding things with them.

Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you

For the porthole...go to google then click on the "images" tab...then type in whatever image you are looking for like "port hole" and you will find a ton...here are two that I have in case you can't find one...

Thank you Dolly!! :jumping1:
I googled port holes and didn't come across any that I thought would print well. I bought Photo Impact and still learning the basics. I am have a lot of fun just playing around with it. I have gone wallpaper and clipart crazy!! Thank you for the cd cover! I will probably use it for a dvd cover of our trip and I am also thinking of songs for a possible FE gift. I will use your cover template.
Dolly, thanks again! You're the best!! I really appreciate your other post of the great detailed instructions on printing and especially the car activities!! Just want to put an idea on the table for you; I and I know so many other wannabe DISigners would love to know how to do the basics like bubble names, adding words to graphics (I saw your great Word instructions) and using templates, just for our own recreation. DISigners make it look SO easy! but now I understand the layers, shadowing, and sizing-which takes time and talent!! You all are SO talented and inspiring!! I know all programs are different but if maybe once a week you could post directions on how to _____. Not trying to put anyone "out of business" just curious on how it is done. I have read the sticky notes and unfortunately most links are out dated.

Thank you so much for the lovely compliment! I could post "how to do's" but I use photo shop elements so my instructions wouldn't help you, and I'm still a newby to DISigning, and the internet has so many wonderful tutorials for how to do things as I've learned from other DISigners on this website. Try going to you tube (or google) and put in what you are wanting to do. If you can find it on youtube...they will have videos of how to do what you are attempting and if you are like me it helps a lot because I'm a visual learner. I wish I could help you more but I don't know how to use Photo Impact otherwise I would say send me a PM when you get stuck and I'd be happy to help out as others (like Kellybell, Dom, Natalie, Marion and Penny) have helped me.

Here is an example of what is out there online...this is in a photobucket account...but there are a lot on youtube... This example tells you how to make names with an image showing behind the letters.

Here is an example of "how to make a logo" on youtube...

Here are two threads where DISigners posted how to make names:

Hope this helps a little!

Thanks Dolly! I would have never have thought to search You tube. Thank you for the links, I will check them out!!

Here you go...let me know if you need a different color for the wording or a different font. I tried the Mickey font (aka Waltograph) but it just didn't look right. Also, I can add a background color to the CD Cover on the Ariel & Eric side if you want...I thought you might be printing these at home so I opted for less ink. This CD holder is nice because it takes up less space in luggage and costs less than the clear plastic ones you normally buy. Anyways...I would be happy to make any changes.

When you go to print if you are going to copy and paste the images into word...try a test print or two as you will probably have to resize the image...for some reason photobucket changes the size of everything. Also, you will want to use cardstock paper to make the CD Cover Wrapper. I hope you have a "Magical" Wedding!

So glad you liked it...let me know if you need anything changed. Also, for some reason photobucket is making the Ariel and Eric image blurry on the CD Cover. I tried changing the size and reposting several times but it keeps making them blurry. If you want a more crisp image...send me a pm with your email address and I will email you a word document that you can print.

Are you going to be doing Fish Extenders with your wedding guests? If so...I have some things I can make that will be inexpensive to put in them.

P.S. What do you do where you get off work at 1:45 am?

Glad that you liked them! Here you go. You will have to play around with the size when you go to print if you copy them into word. Photobucket changes the size. Also, make sure to print the CD Cover on card stock paper.

Do you want Ariel and Eric or is there another princess or wedding mickey/minnie that you would like? If you use the Ariel and Eric image and have problems with the CD Cover picture being a little bit fuzzy...send me a pm with your email address and I will email you a word copy. For some reason photobucket made the image a little bit blury just on the CD Cover for the first set I made of these...yours may be okay though.

Hi :wave2:

Thanks so much I will pm you now :)

I would love to learn more about this Fish Extenders, I saw a photo of a fish on a cabin door I think but I don't really understand, can you tell me more ?

P.S. What do you do where you get off work at 1:45 am?

I think it might be the time difference as I live in Australia - it is financial year end for us here and it was late, but not that late :rotfl:

Good day Nessa! My family and I will be taking our first cruise next year. I have learned so much from DISboards. Go on the DCL forum and look for the date of your cruise. Let them know you too will be joining them and that you will be on your honeymoon. It is also a great way to get to know some of the people on the same cruise before you sail.
The fish extender is a game among DISers. The fish extender it self is basically vertical hanging pockets. Other DISers exchange gifts with you and it hangs from the fish you saw outside everyone's cabin door. (Bring and attach it with a cable tie and also little scissors to remove it) The person hosting your cruise meet thread can tell you how many people and ages. The cabin doors are metal so you can have a lot of fun with magnets. I have gone magnet crazy! Dolly has made great hats and ears for your cabin statesroom number sign. The instructions on how to make an FE are on the "Fish Extenders" thread on the DCL forum with pictures of other "FE" people have done. I have 2 little ones so there is NO way I would be able to sew my own-one is a night owl and the other an early riser. I am having my FE made by "gradysmommy" - ebay name, aka Tiffany, who is also a DISer. You basically are exchanging gifts so it would be like Christmas when you get back to your cabin door each night. Each family brings things native to where they live. For instance, you could bring inexpensive boomerangs or use Dolly's CD covers to make music cd's with what is popular in Australia right now or your favorite top 10. I wish you were on my cruise!
Dolly is a GREAT resource!! Trust me, take her up on her gift ideas!! Dolly, feel free to send me some ideas as well.:woohoo:
Nessa, congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!!

Here is a link for all things fish extender:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607

If you wanted to do something special for those traveling all the way to your wedding...make or have someone make fish extenders for each cabin and leave a daily gift for them. Lots of brides leave baskets/bags with things like water, candy bars, etc. at hotels for guests that have traveled from far away...but I would be thrilled to get a fish extender. You could put it on their door when they arrive with a special welcome note then you could put daily gifts like the CD one day, you can do candy with a "wedding wrapper" around it another day like a sucker or candy bar (Bababear aka Mel has a great thread with candy wrappers and she is big in the cruise art), you can make magnets for their cabin doors with their names which helps to find your room as there are a million doors and they all look alike or a fun wedding magnet like your CD Cover (kellybell has great name ones in her name thread!), I made a "Mickey's sink the battleship" game that you can print and put in it another day (it is great because it won't take up much space in your luggage!), the list is endless of things that you can put in a fish extender...you will see pictures of fish extenders on that thread as well as gifts to put in them.

If you want to be a part of a "fish extender" group...you should be able to find one on the thread for your travel dates.

If you decide to participate in the fish extender craze...either just you and soon to be husband with an extended group or just the wedding party and need help finding some of these threads to make things to put in them just let me know.

Here is a list of things that you can put in a fish extender that you don't have to make or are easy to make:

Customized mint tins

Door Magnets
Bottle of Bubbles
Mardi Gras Beads for Sail away
Plastic Wine/Champaign Glass
Miniature wine or champaign bottle
