DISigners, please check out the magic!

Hi all, thanks for stopping by. I've finally gotten my pretrippie going, so if you'd like to see it before I head out in like 12 days, follow the link in my siggie!:goodvibes

Patnl34 made the design, she also has a snow white, and could probably do any princess if you ask her.

The outfits themselves I bought at The Children's Place. The bottoms are actually skorts. They are sold in pieces and I paid $2.44 for each piece! I love that store!:rotfl: :rotfl:

They did come in several different colors. Good luck!

Hey, I just saw you're from Fayeteville. . . oops. Specifically I got them at TCP in Northpoint mall (alpharetta). . I've also seen them at Discover mills (Lawrenceville) if that helps!

Thanks, I kinda thought they may be from Childrens Place, it looks like their clothes. I will try the one in Peachtree City, it's closer.

Thanks again. Your shirts turned out great! :thumbsup2

Do you know who made the names you put on your bags? and, how would I go about seeing if they have my name? they are SO awesome!!!

Thanks!

Amy made the ones with the mickey heads on the side (M_I_C_K_E_Y) and Pat made the ones with the princess on the end.

They are both really sweet ladies. Simply ask for the design, either find it or describe it, and spell your kid's names! Have fun!:thumbsup2

Great work. Everything looks really good!!!

Have a great time.

I really love the dissign on the red shirts and would like to know where to find the person who may be able to make one for my family and also I would love to know where you got the idea for the autograph books and what you used to bind them...those are fantastic!
We are going with my DD7 and two Girl cousins who are about 10 and 6! They would love those!
thank you!

Hey! Thanks for checking them out! The red shirts were a design by ladyluccia, but carolinagirl86 actually personalized them for us. We received many compliments on these shirts!

The autograph books were made with microsoft publisher, I simply made them up using clipart found on google, and putting them together. I printed them on carstock and cut them (1/2 sheets) THe covers were a mix of designs made by the DISigners here. Then I laminated the front and back covers (to add durability) at a local school supply store. The school supply store sold the little rings, (I think the bag was around $4) and it had enough to bind both books! (hole punched the top)

If you'd like a copy, PM me your email and I'll send it your way so you can change it as you like!

Thanks!

Katie, how did you apply the glitter around the borders of some of your shirts? What did you use? My trip is in 23 days and I would like to make a set of shirts but I am so nervous! I'd like to head out to Michaels to buy the transfer paper tomorrow but I have to print them out at my moms (our printer broke.....ds2 did something to it?!). Plus I'm not at all good with the computer, if I use the dark transfer paper, I don't have to mirror image, but would I have to enlarge? And to what size?

Glad to see you are home! I am hooked on your pre-tr and can't wait to see all about it, and hopefully you have pics!

OMG! My 3 1/2 yr old ds is obsessed w/Star Wars...in fact so much so we are taking him to WDW for his 4th b-day so he can ride the ride!! Can you tell me where to find the image of the 4 star wars guys you have??
TIA
Kari

When you did all of the invites, did you send them to your girls?
Of course they are larger then normal envelopes so how did you
give them to them?

Thanks for the nice comments!

OK, the glitter was fabric paint, in either silver, pearl, or gold glitter. I used a small brush and just went around the edges. My grandma used to say that would seal them so the transfers stay on better. I'm not sure if that is true, but the shirts have all been washed, and no peeling!!!!
I used all dark transfer paper, just take your time trimming and cutting out!
I opened the pictures in word generally and grew them to the size needed. If it is a normal picture, I did 7 inches for the girls and 8 for adults. If it was landscape (sideways) I sometimes made it larger, all the way to the margins for the adults (which I set at .3 all around) and stayed around 8 for the girls. I don't remember where I read that, but it was suggested by a DISigner. . .
Good luck! THey were easier to make than I thought, just time consuming!

Would you mind sending me a copy of the autograph file?

Thanks

OK, so publisher isn't cooperating right now! I"m gonna shut down and restart, and then try to send it. This takes awhile though, so I promise I'll have it to you before the day is out!

If that isn't the right one, let me know. . .

They are too large to mail. I actually gave them to the girls each day, before the event. They waited to see what they were getting, knowing one was coming! THe BBB invites I said Cinderella and Aurora had mailed and I held onto them just to give it to them at the right time!

What kind of dark transfer paper did you use? I don't want to buy a big whole pack from ebay, since I only need to do like ten shirts! Plus, I can't seem to be able to save the images someone has sent to me, unless they are sending them in a jpeg file. Not sure what I'm doing wrong? Any ideas?
