I know this has been addressed before, but, I'm not finding it on Search ........with the new glassware/foam policy in studios.......do the studios at AKV still have the small bottle of dish soap? How about the Inn rooms at Vero? We're doing a split stay next week and I'm getting all those incidentals together.......

AKV did as of April 21 when we were there last.

Thanks to the outcry from DVC members, the studios in AKV have real glasses and mugs and also dish soap, a sponge and a dish towel. According to the information posted on the members' website the Inn rooms at VB also have real glasses and mugs and dish soap. Studios at VB, OKW and SSR (and maybe HHI?) will have disposables but you can request real glasses and mugs. I'm not sure if there is dish soap in those studios but I would hope there would be so you can wash the coffee pot. If not, I expect it would be available on request.

The dvc resorts that are part of a HOTEL now have the glasses & mugs. OKW & SSR has the foam - which honestly is my preference anyway! At SSR last weekend I had the dish soap, and a sponge even though I only had foam cups.

Thanks for the quick answers everyone......I knew we would have real glasses and mugs at AKV, but, wasn't sure about Vero....Inn room and assumed there would be dish soap, but, wanted to be sure.

From the DVC site:
Resorts adjust studio glassware practices

As part of a continuous review of cleaning practices in Disney Resort hotels, leaders determined that hand washing dishware and glassware in Disney Vacation Club studio units wasn't sufficient to meet the company's cleanliness standards.

For studio accommodations at Disney Vacation Club Resorts in which glass-washing equipment is available (Disney's Beach Club Villas, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and the Inn rooms at Disney's Vero Beach Resort), glassware and ceramic mugs now are cleaned in the glass washers, rather than by hand.

Studio accommodations at stand-alone Disney Vacation Club Resorts (Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, the villas at Disney's Vero Beach Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa) now utilize disposable cups, since glass washers aren't available at those resorts. The company wanted to take action quickly, and using disposables was the most expedient solution. Housekeepers replenish the disposable cups upon request.

Disney Vacation Club leaders are investigating more environmentally friendly disposable products, as well as the possibility of installing glass washers at specified locations within the stand-alone properties.

Just got back from OKW, my studio had no foam cups, only paper. I did not pay attention to whether or not they had dish soap.

I just got back from AKV studios on 5/6, and I had the smal dish soap in every studio.

We got home from BWV today.

We had real coffee mugs, dish soap and a sponge.

The same at BCV. We even had 6 glasses, 4 taller ones and 2 juice sized. Dishtowel was replaced at Trash and Towels day.
