I'm sorry to have to read that you've had such a horrific time. How awful of VH to misinform you!!

I really hope that you keep on at them and get it sorted, a complaint on FB and on the phone can't go unattended!

I also commented on FB, didn't know that there was a thread on here about it! I really hope that someone a Virgin has some compassion and can sort this whole mess out for you. It's outrageous what they are doing. We always fly with Virgin but if this isn't resolved in a positive way for you then I will think long and hard about booking with them in the future!

You could try sending a summary to the CEO - their email can be found on the CEO email addresses website

Update no refund!!!!!! App their social resolution team saw somewhere I had put "Ex" partner on a site wld not tell me where so thts it. Despite me telling them different and the fact how dare they go routing round forums abt my relationship they said no can do.
I was not with dave for 4 days prior to his death due to his drinking I did not know where he was!!!! The only sites I go on are here and FB and my page is for friends only. I wonder where they looked
They missed the point. Told me i could change dates but recommended a refund due to charlottes dad not being able to go early next year so would lose his money. Now saying the customer service rep never said anything abt a refund!!!!! Thts why of course i had the fax number for refunds and was told exactly what to send . Lucky for me the covering letter etc will all be on there file as its all been posted recorded to the ceo and iv emailed it!!!!!
Wish id never bothered as caused so much upset and stress.

Thats horrible to hear.
Lots of travel companies do look at sites like this.
Its a public forum, so anyone can see anything you post.
peope can temporary break up or just go a few days without seeing each other.

Like you said, its not the point.
The point is, it was someone on your booking.
you were given information that you took as truth.
Im sure we all would have done the same.
Its shocking that they can treat people like this.

Wow, that is very 'big brother' - and all to save a massive corporation £1300? They snoop on people for that amount? Shocking!

If they got their info on here, they should have bothered to read your posts properly, then they would have realised the huge impact your partner's death has had on you. They have been very selective about what they have quoted.

Also how do they know who you are? On a forum the only details you would get is your user name surely? How would they know your somebody who was calling up to get a refund over a death and that your not an entirely different person!
Im really lost on this I just do not understand it unless somebody on here actually works for VA and just acts like a Diser?

My thoughts cindy and to be honest I hope this person is content if it was from here is happy with upsetting my daughter me and causing me a lot of stress and also not knowing the full facts if my relationship!!!! Iv not slept or eaten over this and after my car costing me over £100 and my job saying they have overpaid me plus my fridge freezer and kettle breaking monday im just wondering how much more I can take!!!!

You don't have to be a dis member just to read the forum and it wouldnt surprise me if some one from virgin did read here!

I have spoken to TAs before who have asked me if I am a member on the dis. Also CMs from Disney stores and from the parks.

I am sure they get a lot of feedback from the use of other forums.

I have also just seen you have liked the virgin Atlantic page so I think they can access your Facebook.

If you have liked the virgin page on Facebook they have probably looked at all your statuses and found out that way depends when you did like there page. Hopefully you can sort it out soon

They can look at what they want iv said nothing wrong. All this hassel for £1300!!!!! As iv said its the principle they misinformed me . Just wish id rebooked the new dates there and then but didnt want pete to loose his money. Now weve all lost it. Im angry disgusted feel cheated and dissapoibted how cold people can be. I hope one of thier relatives etc doesnt kill themselves leaving family and a load of debt like £12000 dvc to pay as in joint names just sick of the whole lot of it.
Thanks for all the support but i would like one of the moderators to close it as I am banging my head against a brick wall hv not got the energy to fight anymore. My nerves are to shot and this has just put the top on it.

Just to let u all know VA have refunded the money in vouchers. Im just glad I can take charlotte away and we hv decided on April 10th or 11th. Thanku all for your firm comments im sure this all helped with their final decision. I hv always used them but to be honest this has left me with a nasty taste in my mouth. I am grateful to the CR Team for making this possible.
