Disguise a Turkey...Help!

Ohhhhh, how about the Easter Bunny, some bunny ears and holding a basket full of eggs?

My students have until Wednesday to get them back. Along with the persuasive paragraph convincing the farmer to let them live.

Some of the best of the last few years:
Pile of leaves-glue Fall leaves all over it
Secret Agent- tiny barbie shades and black fabric
Elvis
Clock

Someone always does a peacock and camo.

Have fun!

My son did this in Kindergarten a few years ago - right after he was Zorro for Halloween. Of course, the turkey was disguised as Zorro. He wore a black mask and a cape and had a sword. It was cute.

My younger dd did this last year.. we made her turkey into a pirate.. cut out a little vest from felt (with thin stripes of another color felt to make it look like a striped vest), made a little bandana hat to match, and glued a patch over one eye... and made a little treasure chest and put that toward the bottom.

We just completed DD's tonight, she's in kindergarten, we turned hers into a ballerina.

I was totally baffled when this project came home...we ended up disguising the Turkey as Batman. I went on-line and found some free coloring sheets. I outlined the Batman with a black sharpie then put the page under the turkey page. I moved the Batman sheet around to outline the Batman on the turkey, then DS colored it in. Good Luck!

We dressed up DS's like a chick fil a cow with an "eat mor chiken" sign around his neck.

DS was going to make him a viking (which was his Halloween costume this year) until DD suggested the Cow costume.

It looked cute and was pretty easy.

Reminded me of Dress Like a Cow Day which we proudly celebrate each year. LOL!

A few years ago my son did this. We did his as a buckeye football player. Then I think he held a sign that said go bucks. My husband wanted to have the sign say eat more wolverine, like the commercials for chickafla that say eat more chicken. I didn't think it was appropiate for preschool to say the wolverine part.
The year before this onehis turkey was buzz light year

Give him two hands in prayer position.

Maybe they'll take pity on him...;)

I'd disguise that turkey as Chuck Norris!
Who in their right mind would eat something so tough?

My son did this when he was that age. His dad helped him make it a Darth Vader turkey with the helmet over the head and a black cape. Good memory :)

My family has done this for years at Thanksgiving. Everyone has to bring it to wherever Thanksgiving dinner is being held that year. Everyone presents his or her "bird" after dinner.

A few we've done:
In a pile of leaves
Working at Santa's workshop
Caught up in customs on the way to the US embassy in Abu Dhabi to visit Nermal (this was mine last year! I packaged him in a small shipping box from amazon)
disguised as a gambit of different animals
A farmer

you need a presidental seal and a note from oboma saying Turkey was saved this year[can't think of the proper word, Govenener's do it for some prisoners], add some roses around the turkey as the president's always do this in the rose garden!!

Hopefully I can help you out here. I am a pre-school teacher who has done this before.I sent this "homework" home last year with my pre-schoolers and we got some real creative ideas back. I just sent it home again last week and am excited to see the results. In the past, we had turkey's disguised like Santa (very cute) and Christmas trees. Another one was done with dried up leaves to be disguised in camo gear. I have seen a hula turkey and an indian turkey too. Policeman and Fireman turkeys are pretty easy to do too. Just use your imagination and you will come up with something. Have fun doing it with your child and you are sure to get a great result!:cheer2::cheer2:

We did that one last year and I tried to get dd to do Mickey Mouse but she refused. She wanted to come up with the idea and I was very pleased with what she came up with - Santa Claus. she was the ONLY one who did that (there were lots of doctors and princesses) in her class and it was EASY. We used some red material I had in the scraps bin and some cotton balls and that was it!
