How many kids are you having? Elizabeth always asks me to have a party at Chuck e cheese or the rollar skating rink. I am a meanie, I always say no. For me in the back yard its cheaper, well I think it is:confused3 , as we never know how many kids we will have. Plus, they actually play more together with their friends when its a swimming party. it seems at Chuck E CHeese, all the kids run off on 10 dift directions and nobody really plays with each other:confused3 . Plus Faith doesnt really have any friends to invite:sad2: , and will feel all the girls who come over today are her friends as wel.
I will not have a Chuck E Cheese party. I don't like not being able to watch all the kids. It freaks me out. We are having a very small party. I told the boys not to be disappointed but that I could do more for them by just having a couple of kids invited each. So there will be a total of 9 kids, including my 3. I made the favor bags out and was able to put a bit more in there. Plus I have to pick up a cake from the store this morning. I am going to decorate it myself.

I have never had asingle kid dropped off and picked up later... at my house or when we have the parties out. Maybe its a southern thing? When we had them at our house, it cost us more by the time we feed everybody. When we have them out, we buy 2 extra pizzas for the adults, and a couple pitchers of soda, so it comes out much cheaper. And the adults watch their own kids when they go to the game room. I always do my own cake, so that saved me $20 and 20 extra tokens at Chuck E Cheese. I also had 20 extra tokens for booking online, so everyone had plenty of tokens to spend.

Most kids get dropped off and picked up afterward here, no matter where the party is. There is always a parent here and there that may stay but I do not feel obligated to feed them as we pay per kid. I did order some extra pitchers of soda today for the 1 parent that stayed (and for Rob & I too). I prefer to drop off the kids and pick them up later.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes DIS friends!!!! My birthday is today, so none of you are late! I'm sitting on my balcony in Pensacola, FL DISing... The battery is about to die, so I'm going to head in... but Thank you all!!!!

Kari- GREAT pictures... I think Avery's new hair looks adorable!
And, they wouldn't let us "pose with Tink" when we were there... They said they weren't doing it anymore... Humm... Makes me mad b/c yall were there at the same time, and yall had no problem... weird, huh?

They wouldn't let us pose with Tink either and they said the same thing. I think that sucks-o-mundo!

Yippe the party is over  . It went well. We had 12 kids(including mine)and 3 extra adults. If Adults stay at my party its because they are friends of mine.We had it from 1-4. The kids swam a lot, came out had pizza and snacks, swam some more. We did cake, pinata, then opened presents. By that time the sky was getting dark, so we had all the kids come inside, that was at 3:50. The kids got dried off and dressed and by that time the parents were here to pick them up:thumbsup2 Now I can relax for another year;)

I had planned to ask for the Tink pose in MK, but forgot. That was a photographer in Epcot named Sam (female Sam) that took it for us, and Stitch as well. She said they would fuss because they were only supposed to do Tink in MK, and Stitch in AK... but she didn't care if they fussed or not. Why would they quit taking them? I heard a rumor that they were going to start a Tink autograph place... so maybe that is why? What I read is that as you go through the que, the things around you get larger, as if you are shrinking to pixie size by the time you get to Tink. Be interesting to see if it is true...

I've been bored too and took some more NEW pictures of my doggy.

I love Avery's hair. It is so cute! I also love your pics!

We also got to do Tink pics. The guys said that they weren't supposed to but they would go ahead but couldn't promise that Tink would be inserted. Apparently they are quite backed up. But we could go the the photoplace at MK and they would insert Tink manually. We paid for three pics of Tink (Michael, Danae and both together) for this priviledge. I should have let it go as Tink arrived in all the pics except for the family one. By guys I mean we asked three different photographers and got two to do them in two different locations. when I ever get my photopass CD, I'll post a few pics.

mandy, cute puppy!

Glad to hear the party went well! Yay!

Didn't look like a "pool day" today, so Dana asked to go to the movies... we went to see "Hairspray".... Anyone see it yet? What did you think??
(I'll save my review until later... lol)

Renee

Took Haley, her friend Maggie and Ryan last weekend to watch it. We all enjoyed it, even Ryan. Keep telling him before we left that it was a girl movie.
He just wanted to see Amanda Bynes.

Kari- Avery looks great with her new do. And loved the PP pics.

Hi friends...we got back from the beach last night. We had a great time!! I will try to post a couple of pics of the girls when I get them downloaded. Alyssa started swimming underwater at the end of the week AND she quit taking her paci...she really became a big girl on this trip!! Amanda had a great time but now she has an ear infection from all of the swimming!!

You all were pretty chatty while I was gone...I read it all last night & just as I was about to post a reply my computer locked up!! So I'll try to remember what all I read...

No Tink pictures for us either...I didn't ask though.

Avery's hair looks cute...I know you were upset though.

SingingMom & Castawaymam - what do you think about "Hairspray" for an 11 year old? I really haven't researched it but a friend of mine said that from what she read about it she didn't think it was appropriate for her 12yo DD.

Glad you had a nice time at the beach - we head down the shore Wednesday evening. I am really looking forward to it.:beach:

As for "Hairspray", I thought some of the dancing was a bit "bawdy" at times. I probably would not have brought Dana if she was younger than the almost 14 that she is.

I found John Travolta very distracting! Everytime he was on the screen, my thought was, "that's John Travolta in a bad example of drag" instead of him convincing me he was Edna. Just my opinion...:confused3

We had a giggle fit in the middle of the movie - for some reason Dana's principal (a 60+ year old nun) absolutely loved the Broadway show and kept telling the class they should all go see it... in the middle of a particularly bawdy scene, Dana leaned over & whispered to me, "This was Sister's FAVORITE show???!" and we both looked at each other and burst out giggling. :goodvibes

I hope you have fun at the shore!! It was really nice for us to get to rest for a week!

Thanks for the Hairspray review...I think Miss Amanda will have to wait at least a couple of years to watch it then!
