I love the way the bottom of the Athens feels, and the arch support. The problem is the thong is too big, and KILLS my toes. I'm trying to decide if I could shave it off a little... If so... I could live in those shoes!

Have you tried the Capris? I have the Athens and Capris, and the Capris are much more comfortable between the toes to me.

BUT... I am sweating that metting with Courtney!
Okay....HUH?????
By the way, Brittany... I'm not allowed to play with you anymore! I bought Crocs Athens last week (hate them!) and today I ordered Privo Joyners and Molokini flips on www.zappos.com... $129! BUT... they ship free overnight, so I will have them on Monday... 5 days to break them in! :sad2:

Now listen to me....the first 2 days that I wore the Athens they killed between my toes and I was getting ready to take a razor blade to them. Now, they are absolutely positively wonderful!!! They are the most comfortable of my 4 types of Crocs. Give it a chance...

I love that all 3 Crocs flops (Athens, Ithaca, Capris) have a different feeling between the toes. I think it will help give my tootsies a break during the week.

Something about the design of the Ithica didn't work well for me. They hurt me so much I had to give them away. I really wanted to keep them cuz they were the pretty pink ones and they don't have that color in the others, but the pain wasn't worth the beauty!:headache:

along with the HAT, I worry about the GLASSES! I wear Rx sunglasses or my regular glasses that tint in the sun... I'm always holding onto SOMETHING!

I just figure, Disney - Florida in the summer - beach vacations -I'm just NOT the FASHION PLATE I usually am in everyday life.... (yeah, right.... :rotfl: :rotfl: )
I ususally hook mine through a belt loop and they stay there fine.

Sorry about the Ithacas. I really love them. Sounds like we have the same taste in color in our Crocs flops. We both got the celery/white Capris. I bought the pink Ithacas too. What color are your Athens? I bought pearl/orange, plus navy (but I'm not keen on the navy color).

I'm shutting down. It looks like severe thunderstorms are heading our way in the next hour or 2 so we're getting prepared with the candles, flashlights, etc. I sure hope our power doesn't go out because it is 89 degrees right now and that would be stifling to sleep in. I am so use to the a/c.

My Athens are the navy ones too. No wonder we are such good friends!:thumbsup2
3 pairs of matching Croc Flip Flops.

Wow! you guys were chatty today! Let's see if I can remember everything...

SM - I'm glad this morning went well...I hope the evening will too!

As far as sleeves or sleeveless...it's sleeves for me....I haven't worn sleeveless in YEARS. I will wear shorts though. Thanks Kari for the Shout tip, I'll have to remember to put that on my shopping list.

I have bought a few hats to wear but I won't start off the day wearing them. I guess I'll start off the day with fixed hair and then resort to the hat with the ponytail...at least for the 1st day. :rotfl:

I have to at least start the day with makeup...I don't wear a lot but there is no way that I would go out without it...believe me you wouldn't want to see me without it!!

I don't have any Croc Flops yet...I have 5 pairs of Caymans though. I was telling DH that all of you have the flops and he said "Why don't you get you some?...I love mine"...SO I guess I'll have to get me some!! Luckily I have a store 1/2 way between work and home that carries a good selection of them so I will go by there one day next week at lunch. Amanda has some Lime Green/Fuschia ones that I can wear but she is usually wearing them.

What color did you get?

I got the white/celery and charcoal/sea foam. I can't wait to get them! I hope they fit. I've been stalking the shoebuy site daily waiting for them to have Capris in my size (9).

Me too! As soon as I heard about the storms, I was thinking please, please don't let the power go out. I will DIE in this heat/humidity with no fans! And no TV or computer to occupy me? What would I do!? ;)

I tried the Ithacas on in the store and I loved them! But I can't bring myself to pay $34.99 plus tax for them. If I could get them online at a nice discount I'd be all over it!

The only thing I don't like is that (at least on all the ones I've found) the footbed part is white. I have a feeling it'll get really dirty looking really fast!

I was finally going to buy athens too but I'm a 9 too. I did buy the Teva Mush too but I'm not thrilled with the width between the toes. I tried to wear them dog walking today. No good.

I heard it's suppossed to be bad way up North too. Take care.

I just had to share...I just counted our change from our change bottle and we have $111 that I was able to roll!! And this is just silver money. If I have time and can find one that works I am going to take the pennies to a Coin Star machine. I just can't bring myself to pay the service charge on the silver $$ but it is worth it for the pennies.

I just love yall... I'm so glad I checked the board today--- 10:43 pm as I type this... I've been moving since 7:00 am this morning- literally - haven't stopped. It's exhausting... And I feel like a sweaty little pig =) And what do I come back to--- my sweet DISers who think I will be picture perfect at all times =) Yall are so sweet.... Yes, I do wear makeup and fix my hair on vacation... You see, I'm a HUGE picture taker--- And when I'm on vacation I take pictures all the time! So, since we are making photo album memories, I figure at least I'll try my best to look decent--- we all know in June, after noon, in Florida, we're all sweaty anyway! But I try, I do admit.

As the days get closer, I'm SO looking forward to meeting each and every one of you that I cross paths with! This has been such a fun journey --- I mean, how bad it is usually counting down the days to a WDW trip??? But this thread has actually made it very fun.... I'm so excited for my trip, of course, but SO excited to meet so many of you! It'll be here so soon!!!!

Hey Courtney...I know you are exhausted!! Glad to hear from you...I was wondering how the move was going? How much more do you have left to move?

here's my favorite photo from graduation day..

Everything went very well - and Dana won NINE awards.. I'm so proud of her I could just burst. She won the "Service" award to parish & community - that is a biggie - we were so surprised and pleased for her. She had the highest grade point average in Religion and won that award - she had 2nd Honors the entire school year, so won a Silver Award, and won awards for Perfect Attendance, Forensics, Music, Drama, Student Council, and being the only person to sing in the parish choir from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

We had a wonderful dinner party at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse - my immediate family, my aunt and uncle, a favorite cousin & his wife, a dear friend, and our priests and principal. 25 people and 2 high chairs in total! We had a private room - it was such a nice evening. ;)

Okay....HUH?????

Oops... typo! I'm sweating my MEETING with Courtney. (She is skinny, cute,YOUNG... and I am far from it! Especially by 7PM when we see her!)

Now listen to me....the first 2 days that I wore the Athens they killed between my toes and I was getting ready to take a razor blade to them. Now, they are absolutely positively wonderful!!! They are the most comfortable of my 4 types of Crocs. Give it a chance...

I am wearing them, hoping I'll get used to it. I wore them to the mall and Wal-Mart. They are comfy walking... its when I am sitting or standing still that they are so irritating.

We lived in Raleigh when Hurricane Fran came through in 1996, and lost power for 10 days. We have well water, so we didn't have that, either. Then we had Tucker! :rotfl:

Have you asked your bank if they will do it? I found out AFTER rolling $100+ that they have a Coin Star in the lobby in my bank for members to use for free. *DOH!*
