Everything went very well - and Dana won NINE awards.. I'm so proud of her I could just burst. She won the "Service" award to parish & community - that is a biggie - we were so surprised and pleased for her. She had the highest grade point average in Religion and won that award - she had 2nd Honors the entire school year, so won a Silver Award, and won awards for Perfect Attendance, Forensics, Music, Drama, Student Council, and being the only person to sing in the parish choir from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

We had a wonderful dinner party at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse - my immediate family, my aunt and uncle, a favorite cousin & his wife, a dear friend, and our priests and principal. 25 people and 2 high chairs in total! We had a private room - it was such a nice evening. ;)
Renee

WHat a great picture. You should be very proud of Dana:)

DM - the A&W - It is in the the KFC on Rt 31... I wish it was a stand alone!!!

Oh pleassssssssssssse don't worry about your weight.... after numerous surgerys on my belly, having enough scars that I resemble a map, and having NO muscle left (nice of them to slice right thru them)... I gave up on what other think of. I know I eat well... exercise (well not enough - but I do walk everyday) - and I am still very much overweight. Not all of us can be little ....we will love ya no matter what!!!!!

Renne - Dana looks lovely... how very proud you must be of her!!!

Courtney.... yeah your in your house.... moving sucks... after 21 years in the military I can tell you I have packed up my fair share of homes.... yuk! Congrats though!!!!

I don't know for sure but probably near any bench in the MK. Also, they will do Tink almost anywhere. I read on someone's TR that they did Tink for her at the AK - of all places!

I think the best thing is to ask for a lot of special effects!

We have had prchase the photopass before.. when it was $99 - we had Tink added in the MK, Stich in MGM and Baby Simba in AK. There is also a wonderful hardcover book you can have made... you pick the photos and Disney puts it into a layout with writing.... telling a story about your trip. You can use photos from the photopass... I think it is 20 pages long.... about $60... I saw one when I was there in May.... very nice.

Hey Courtney...I know you are exhausted!! Glad to hear from you...I was wondering how the move was going? How much more do you have left to move?

I am exhausted! But guess what I'm doing today????? Going to our water park!!!! That'll be a little relaxer for me! And then I get to see Blake Shelton tonight in concert... Mother thinks I'm crazy b/c we still have a big chunk of stuff left with the move, but we needed a little break!

Tomorrow we'll finish up--- we really only have our bedroom furniture, Ryan's clothes, the computer, my fabric for Waggin' Rags, and towels... So a few trips will be all it takes for us to be finished! I'm so excited to sleep there--- tomorrow night will be the first night we'll be fully in... And then I'm going to take more pictures so yall can see it with all of my stuff in it!

Renee- I can't get over how precious Dana is! Every picture- her smile is always so big and proud. Sounds like she has a reason to be proud! NINE awards!!! That's insane! Good for her... Tell her congrats!!!!!

OMGoodness-- and isn't Ruth's Chris so good! YUMMO YUMMO YUMMO!!!!

I am heading to Buffalo this morning to help my mom for a few days. She wants her kitchen re-wallpapered, new curtains hung, and some help buying a new chair..... I don't like her trying to get on a ladder herself so I am going to go help. I will be away from the computer as she doens't have one:scared1: . Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Hi everyone. I am getting so excited about our trip. We are so close now and I'm looking forward to fianally meeting many of you in person.
Wendy- that is very sweet of you to go help your mom.
Courtney- congrats on the move.

Wow, Dana looks beautiful and 9 awards?? Awesome!!

We lived in Raleigh when Hurricane Fran came through in 1996, and lost power for 10 days. We have well water, so we didn't have that, either. Then we had Tucker! :rotfl:

Ah, I see you found a way to pass the time, eh? :rotfl: So there is something to do when the power goes out... or should I say someone ;)

Hope all of you New Yorkers are safe and sound after the storms.

Thanks! Luckily, the really bad storms never came my way. We had a little thunder & lightning, but nothing severe. I woke up this morning freezing in my bed. It went from unbelievably hot yesterday to cold today!

Sounds like you've got a fun day planned! It'll be a very nice break from moving.

I can't imagine how excited you must be now that you're almost all moved in! Spending your first night in your new house will be :cool1:

Thank you, everyone, for your congratulation wishes for Dana! :hippie:

Wendy: Have a safe trip - how nice of you to be able to help out your mom!

Courtney: Looking forward to seeing your new home photos with YOUR mark on it! Isn't it exciting?! I'll bet Maddie will enjoy her new yard! And yes, Ruth's Chris is, as you say, "YUMMO!" :rotfl: Service was great and the food was awesome. We had a private room and it was really nice - they even made special menus with the cover reading, "Congratulations, Dana!"
Very amusing to see your prinicipal, the nun, drinking a green apple martini!!
I, however, enjoyed my champagne!

Laura: Good luck at the game! Go team!

LizAgna: Do you have a "Commerce Bank" near you? They have a coin machine that you can use, even if you don't have an account at the bank. Very handy.

I still have so much to do, even though graduation is over: two more "official" days of work for me, but school doesn't really get out until Friday. I told Sister that I think I'll come in after Disney to do the rest... I really want to get my head on VACATION at this point!!:earsgirl:
Renee

Have you asked your bank if they will do it? I found out AFTER rolling $100+ that they have a Coin Star in the lobby in my bank for members to use for free. *DOH!*

I know the bank that we use and the bank that my company uses that I am at frequently doen't have a Coin Star. I really didn't mind rolling everything but the pennies...it reminds me of when I was a kid although I rolled the pennies then. My daddy always had change in his pocket and would alternate putting it in mine and my sister's Shoney's Big Boy banks...about a week before vacation we would sit in the den and roll our change for our spending money. We only had $10 or $15 each but we thought we were rich!!

Fun!! I hope you have a great day at the water park and enjoy the concert tonight. I can't wait to see the new pictures!

Renee - Dana looked beautiful...9 awards that is amazing...I know you are so proud of her...I'm looking forward to meeting your family at the Off Kilter meet! I'm not sure if we have a Commerce Bank in our area...I'll have to look and see I would love to have the pennies rolled for free!

OK everyone I have a question...do any of you have a Disney ringtone on your cell phone? On my old one I had the instrumental versions of A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes & Cinderella's Working Song (Cinderella, Cinderella night & day it's Cinderella...) but now that I got the new one the only Disney ringtones that are available for it are ones with words. My girls want me to get something Hannah Montana or High School Musical...both of which we love but I'm just not sure that a 39 year old accounting manager should have I've Got Nerve or Getcha Head in the Game ringtone :dance3:

Yes, I do.. I have the Mickey Mouse March on my ring tone. I love it, and so does my 2 1/2 yr old. I call the number just so she can listen to it.

My Athens are the navy ones too. No wonder we are such good friends!:thumbsup2
3 pairs of matching Croc Flip Flops.
Awww... We are the Crocs Flops Princesses!

Me too! As soon as I heard about the storms, I was thinking please, please don't let the power go out. I will DIE in this heat/humidity with no fans! And no TV or computer to occupy me? What would I do!? ;)
The winds got pretty bad here and we watched 2 trees fall in the woods behind our home. But thankfully we did not lose power. I did keep the computer on since there was not a bunch of lightning and we watched wixt.com. Their storm team had live internet coverage and it was mesmerizing!

I tried the Ithacas on in the store and I loved them! But I can't bring myself to pay $34.99 plus tax for them. If I could get them online at a nice discount I'd be all over it!

The only thing I don't like is that (at least on all the ones I've found) the footbed part is white. I have a feeling it'll get really dirty looking really fast!
I paid the big bucks but I really really wanted them. The white has not gotten dirty yet. Probably by the end of the day in the parks but I'm sure they will rinse off.

I just had to share...I just counted our change from our change bottle and we have $111 that I was able to roll!! And this is just silver money. If I have time and can find one that works I am going to take the pennies to a Coin Star machine. I just can't bring myself to pay the service charge on the silver $$ but it is worth it for the pennies.
Wonderful to have that much extra cash for your trip! Our bank has a coin sorter for free and they won't even accept rolled coins. I love it!

As the days get closer, I'm SO looking forward to meeting each and every one of you that I cross paths with! This has been such a fun journey --- I mean, how bad it is usually counting down the days to a WDW trip??? But this thread has actually made it very fun.... I'm so excited for my trip, of course, but SO excited to meet so many of you! It'll be here so soon!!!!
Really, I have enjoyed meeting all of you on this thread. Back at the beginning of February would I have thought that I would meet all these DISer that I consider pretty good friends now, and even go as far as meeting up with some of you? No way! But, I am so glad we have met and shared. That's why I am glad that we will continue our friendship on our new threads after our vacations. :grouphug:

Lovely again, Renee. You have done a wonderful parenting job with Dana and you should be proud!

That's right, I forgot about the one with KFC. We have gone there a couple of times.

I'm not that worried about the weight thing. It's just puts a bummer in my mind a bit. Three c-sections have messed up my tummy muscles but I can't blame that for the rest!

Have a great time. You deserve a break for sure.

Have a safe trip and watch your speeding around Victor. I got a speeding ticket there (my first ever) when we were moving to Buffalo.

Hi everyone. I am getting so excited about our trip. We are so close now and I'm looking forward to fianally meeting many of you in person.
Don't you just want to jump up and down and giggly scream that we are getting so close? Well, maybe not, but I really do!!!! :lmao:

OK everyone I have a question...do any of you have a Disney ringtone on your cell phone?
No Disney ringtone on my cell phone.

I have Rob Thomas' song "This is how my heart breaks" and Rob has some song from the group Rush.

Brookie breaks out dancing everytime my cell goes off!

I would love it if our bank was that way!!

I know...I am so glad that you started this thread I have also really enjoyed meeting all of you and I can't wait to meet some of you in person...I wish we could ALL get together.

Don't you just want to jump up and down and giggly scream that we are getting so close? Well, maybe not, but I really do!!!! :lmao:

I do too!! Paul is getting excited too (he wouldn't jump up & down and giggly scream though :rotfl: )...he doesn't get excited until very close to the trip...it's neat to see him so excited too! Two weeks from today we will be in the MK for our 1st official day there  :cool1:  and three weeks from today will be in the MK for our last day there :sad1: ...but once we get home I can start on the girls' scrapbooks so that will be fun.

I don't have any ringtones but when I call DH it plays "I think I love you" David Cassidy:love: I can't imagine what the guys at work think;)

I've had 3 c-sections too. GYN told me I could lose 50 pounds and that tummy will never go away. Gee...thanks for the inspiration Doc:rolleyes:

Renee...Dana looks beautiful and 9 awards WOW! DS is moving up from 8th grade too but they only have a low key dance (which he says he's not going:sad2: ) and a small ceremony at night in the Gym.

OK everyone I have a question...do any of you have a Disney ringtone on your cell phone?

I used to have A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes on my old phone. I would use it as my ringtone for Disney trips. I got a new phone in January and I haven't gotten any Disney ringtones for it yet. My current ringtone is Gin & Juice (Snoop Dogg) but I'm getting really sick of hearing it so I need to get something new!

New rule here...no mentioning last days of vacation. Too depressing. Let's concentrate on getting there!!! :dance3:

I think I love you so what am I so afraid of? I'm afraid that I'm not sure of a love there is no cure for.

Ah yes, David Cassidy. Did you all know that I was going to marry him when I was about 7 years old? Yup! I dumped Donny Osmond for him! :lmao:

How are you feeling today? Better I hope!

I chuckled at the David Cassidy "I think I love you" - that was my FAVORITE SONG - I can sing ALL THE WORDS to this day. Pathetic, I know...:rolleyes1

When Bob calls from work or cell, the ringtone on the homephone is "Let Me Call You Sweetheart"... his boss called from his phone one day and I started laughing - had to explain why I was so amused. :rotfl:

Dana was so funny last night - she had her cap bobby pinned to stay on... she knew she wasn't Valedictorian or Salutatorian, so she wasn't worried about having to put ON a medal.. the rest are pinned in cases... but she had no idea she would win the Service award, which is also worn... Father wanted to put it on her, so he asked her to take off her cap - bobby pins flying... it was very comical. :goodvibes

Get in line, Sister.... He was MINE. So was Donny. Then David's little brother, Shaun Cassidy. (Da Do Run Run)
Then it was NY Yankees Bucky Dent... THEN it was NY Rangers Don Maloney... THEN it was NJ Devils Aaron Broten... then I met Bob.....
