We are pretty much going insane!!


Alyssa & I had even more Disney fun just a little while ago...we were looking for something for her to wear that is Hawaiian looking because they are having Hawaiian day at school tomorrow. While we were looking thru her clothes and cleaning up her room we put on her Disney CD and we sang a bunch of Disney songs and made her Princesses dance...we sang Part of Your World, A Whole New World, Zip A Dee Doo Dah, When You Wish Upon a Star...we had so much fun! I finally found the dress that my sister brought her from Hawaii...it's a little too small but she is going to wear it tomorrow anyway. I was so tempted to pull out her suitcase and start packing for her but I didn't...hopefully 2 weeks from tonight I will have her all packed!! She has enough Disney clothes that I could pack them and she would still have plenty to wear for a week.

Mandy, I like your cut. I'm thinking of getting mine cut at the Harmony Barbershop at MK. I think I'm nuts! I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up getting both kids a haircut on our first day at MK.

Thanks guys. I got tired of it growing so fast and with summer being so miserable I wanted something shorter. I'm tired though, I did volunteer work tonight and was there from 6:15 till almost 11 on my feet most of the time. I'm doing it till Sunday night then I'm off till next Thursday and go till Sunday.

I haven't been on in a few days because I have been so busy packing. I have been making trips with things to the new house too so I have less to pack. One good thing is that as I am coming across things I don't want I don't even take it to the new house. My kids got out of school today too!!! So I finally got a chance to catch up.

After all this talk about when we all pack. How about this question...

Do you or any family members wear an article of clothing more than once on your vacation?

We don't wear anything twice (except PJs since we put those on after we are clean.) I just can't do laundry with the kids. So I just have to pack a lot of clothes.

guys please pray my sister gets better. She has the roto virus and her only good ear is very swollen and if it's not better she can't fly.

How is your sister doing? I hope she is feeling good. I like your hair cut too.

I've been thinking about starting our new thread for our combined trip reports. I won't actually start it until close to the time that I leave but want to have it all ready to go. I want the wording on the first post to be good and well received. Since I considered what a huge thread this will ultimately turn out to be, I wondered if we could keep it going slowly so as not to overwhelm everyone coming in to add their own experiences, etc.

Anywhoooo, please read what I potentially have down and let me hear your comments and/or suggestions on re-wording or additions. Thanks!! Our next thread will be totally awesome.

DISers stalking DISers....our end of June vacation trip reports!

We’ve returned from our vacations and now it’s time to share with each other our thoughts, reviews, and pictures.

Since I am sure that there will be a load of posts all at once, may I make a request? Let’s try to post 1 picture each a day and describe to your heart’s content about that picture.

Also, on the same line, let’s try to post only 1 full day’s report at a time. None of us want to come into this thread and have to read through 30 pages every day because everyone has posted multiple days’ worth.

My suggestion will not only let us “drag out” our wonderful time spent in Disney World but will also let us comment on each other’s individual experiences! Also, remember that we all return on different dates so people joining in later will have a lot to read. Let’s not overwhelm at once please!

When I return, I will place links here on the first post as to individual day reports and/or photos...hopefully that will be my goal.

So, welcome back and let’s get started.....

OMGoodness-- You should see my current house! It's a mess! I've got boxes everywhere. I actually ran out of boxes so I've been calling around to try and get more... The plan is to close on Wednesday (one week)... That night we are going to go there to clean, etc. Really clean drawers, etc. Then Thursday we both have work, but Thursday night we'll bring a few boxes here and there. I have off of work on Friday, so I'll be doing a lot that day. I can do a bunch by myself as far as clothes, boxes, kitchen stuff, etc. We have a painter coming Friday, and a guy installing wood floors in the bedrooms on Thursday and Friday. B/c of that, the floors have to sit for two days--- we'll move living room furniture in on Friday night; we'll move everything else on Sunday when the floors are ready to have weight on them. I'm so excited! And then, after Sunday the 10th, I can really start getting excited for Disney!!!!

Know how ya feel. My house looks like a tornado went through it. I have my kitchen all moved and a lot of clothes and toys. I had to go to Walmart last night around midnight to get their boxes from stocking shelves.

Maybe try again like Kari said and you will get the times moved around. I am really bracing for crowds this time!!


Alyssa (3) and I just had the BEST conversation....we were sitting on the deck after we got off of the trampoline (yes, me on the trampoline too) and she said "Let's talk about Disney World" so we started talking and she was telling me everything that she wants to do like Goofy's Barnstormer, Spaceship Earth, Playhouse Disney, The Bug Show, the Tea Cups, Winnie the Pooh & get suckers afterwards and she kept on. Then I asked her when we were going and she said this summer!!! I told her that we had not saved enough pennies to go yet (I know I'm bad) and she told me that we had saved enough and that we could go next weekend...she is going to be so excited when she finds out that we are actually going!!!! It was sooo hard to keep the secret at that moment...when DH got home we told him what she had said and I could tell he was tempted to tell her too!!! Only 22 more days & I will have the happiest 2 girls on the planet!!!!

They are going to be so excited!!!

Maggie... have fun with Mom! Are the kids out of school yet? Anything fun planned?

No not yet they get out next Friday at 1pm, half a day. They finished their EOG's yesterday, get scores today by noon.
Mom wanted to come up and watch the kids awards days, and see Ryan graduate from 5th to 6th. The school has the 5th graders march in to the graduation march song. real cute. Ryan will have a couple of ballgames next week so we won't be doing to much.

Castaway & MaggieD - we found Amanda a clarinet at a pawn shop and bought it the other day...it looks like it has hardly ever been played and it was a great price...it is a Buffet E11...from all I have read it is a really good one for her to learn on and keep for years...now I just hope she enjoys playing it!!

That's great, those who love their instruments take great care of them, Haley's still looks nice and new. She keeps it clean and polished. That's a good name too. hope she does well with it. Haven't looked for ryan a trumpet yet , plan on doing so after our WDW trip.

I think that would be so fun! I thought about getting Tucker's done in MK instead of BBB, but I will cut it before we go, so its not worth it to go just for the hair gel. Avery's appt is for BBB in DTD, and I don't want to separate, and take a chance on someone (most likely me!) not making it to dinner at 1900 Park Fare on time!

Okay...maybe this is just me but I've been watching the weather in Florida and they have been having problems with draught. They are getting some rain today, however. I guess I am worried that we will be the not so lucky ones who will have the rain "catch up". I feel bad for wanting Florida to continue with the draught through the rest of this month or hurry up and get raining now so it may be better for us!
