Wow, thanks everyone. That was quick

I had always thought night EMH were either 1,2 or 3 hours, guess I was wrong
Guess you have your answer. I'll tell you why you were confused though. It's the way that Disney states... EMH evenings....the parks are open up to 3 hours later! Why do they need to put that "up" in there? :confused3

YEP...sounds just like its going to be over here. Since we are leaving on the same day, we have the same routine going on?
What time do you think you will be leaving?

We plan on heading out around 6ish...we will see. I want to make it as far as possible(Coming from Va Beach)before stopping over night. Ft Lauderdale is just too long of a drive for one day:confused3

I don't know the travel time from Va Beach to Ft Lauderdale, but Raleigh to Orlando was 9 hrs last year, and that included stopping for lunch (45+ min) and 2 or 3 pit stops. Wynn typically drives between 5-10 over speed limit, depending on the traffic, and we didn't run into any heavy traffic situations. I would guess add 2-2.5 hrs for your drive.

We like to go down all 1 day, and have the drive over with. We are planning to leave around 7AM, so we will probably actually leave between 8-9! :goodvibes Our ADR at Margarittaville is for 7:30 Sat night. Coming home, we take 2 days... leave MK at close and drive to Jacksonville. On Sunday, we will go the rest of the way home, but will stop in Savannah for 4-5 hrs to visit Wynn's brother and family... makes a great stop for the kids to run and play with cousins, and eat a good dinner. We will get home around 8-9 PM on Sunday.

The "Up to" is a legal disclaimer so if the weather is bad or some other reason they have to shut down early, they can cut it short and people can't complain because it is "up to" three hours. At least that is my understanding.

I also hope it doesn't rain on any of the days. I don't have any breathing room in our schedule! :lmao:

Okay, I'm going to try to bust you again. Does he really only drive that much over? I know we tend to go 10 - 15 over the speed limits on the highways, sometimes more depending on flow of traffic.

Oh, and your home seems like a good middle point for us. So, when we drive down on our next trip, can we all spend the night at your house? It's only 5 of us....

Our signing went really well. Took a few hours and tons and tons of paper work. The day we got it I had the Disney keys made for the kids and picked them up early from school. They were so happy they cried. We have moved a lot the past few years so I am so happy to settle somewhere. Plus I finally have room for four kids.

Here is some info on our house. It is 2250 square feet plus a two car garage. It has four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, a media room, a utility room, and a bonus room. I didn't take pictures of the bedrooms since they are just empty rooms. After Disney and after we settle in I will post more pictures.

That is absolutely beautiful!! Where is this? And if you don't mind me asking, how much was it? I just bought a house too and love to compare areas and price differences.

Sarah - Your home is absolutely lovely! I especially like the breakfast bar in your kitchen. I look forward to seeing how you decorate it.

Courtney - Doesn't that just make you even more excited? Like that can even be! ;)

A little off topic,
a few years ago, we went to MVMCP, and it rained almost the whole night. I know splash mountain was open, not sure about other outside rides, but they didn't have the nightime fireworks. Anyway, if you stopped by guest relations on the way out of the park, you filled out a form and they refunded your money. My said got a check in the mail about 6 weeks later

Wow! That's gorgeous! I love the kitchen! What is a bonus room, btw? Is that just a sitting room attached to the master bedroom? It looks like the kids really love it! Congrats! And thanks for sharing the pictures!

She will love it, getting to watch movies for hrs on end

Thanks!! I live outside of Nashville, TN in a city called Murfreesboro. It was $210,000.

Thanks. I liked the bar/island too. I have a lot of decisions and no idea where to start as far as decorating.

Thank you. The bonus room is 22x13. It is just a big room to use for whatever you want. I guess it could also be called a rec room. It is upstairs. It is going to be the kids play/tv room.

Love the house!

FYI- I am looking at Land and hoping to pay under $200K for a 1.5 acre lot. I wish the housing market wasn't so expensive around here

OMGoodness---- IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I love EVERYTHING about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love, love, love it! Is it brand new? It looks brand-spankin' new! So pretty.

Wow- it's huge too! Ours is 2106 sq. ft- 3 bedrooms+ 1 office; 2 full baths and it appraised for $272,000... We got it for a little less than that, but not much!!!! Oh, how I LOVE your media room!!!!! Congrats- I know you will love it! I'm so excited for you!!!!

And yes, DM--- That makes me SO excited- that will be me next week (crossing fingers!)

Ditto. Double Ditto.

The housing market is crazy around here as well. We bought our house 8 1/2 yrs ago. Its built in 1963, and has around 1900sq we paid $92,000. Now this house is going for at least $245,000, depending on the condition.

Thank goodness for the Johnsons! We've been lucky most of the time, except back in 1997 when we were drenched on 2 days!

Good to know! But I gotta say, sometimes I love the rain in WDW - it keeps the crowds away!

It's so dang hot everytime we go. We wish for rain but it never comes.

tnmom-love,love, LOVE your house.

Someone please order me out of Westchester. Please!:sad1:

We really do tend to go with the traffic, so at some points we are going 15 over, but not too often. We go down I-95, which is 70 mph in most places to begin with. And have I told you that my Suburban looks like a drug dealers truck? We bought it used... right car for the right price, so it was already pimped out! It is black with super dark tinted windows, chrome 22inch rims with low profile tires, chrome brush guard and fog lights on front, chrome tail lights. The inside is tan leather, and has a 10" TV, DVD, XM, VCR. And did I mention the Whipple Supercharger on the engine? Wynn likes to drag race sports cars in it... hasn't lost yet! BUT- the car is a 2002 that only had 39,000 miles on it, and we only paid 20K... so we drive a dealers truck! I should also mention that 2 years ago we paid $200/month for car insurance because of Wynn and his tickets, so driving to fast is NOT an option anymore!

And I know you were being funny about stopping here... but come right ahead! We are 30 min from I-95. We might have to put you on air mattresses, but the kids could run around and play!

Mine don't sleep in the car either! I have new DVDs for them to watch, and I get Color Wonder coloring books and such to keep them busy. When we stop for lunch at McDonalds, we send them to play while we eat, then take their lunch to eat in the car. That way they get to stretch and play, and spend the next 30 min eating semi-quietly!
