DH came home last night & told me he's going to miss being "whisked away" by the ME bus.

Then last night a good client of mine calls and tells me she's going to Africa & booked 4 weeks!:cool1: the job ends 2 days before I leave.

Now I have alot of extra $$$ that I could use to stay onsite again but I'm such a cheepo that I'm torn on what to do.

I can't believe it's this close to my trip & my plans are such a mess. What should I do?:confused3

You need to stop messing around with your plans! However, personally I would just want to stay put in 1 place and not have to pack up to switch resorts. That's a pain, at least for us with 3 young kids.

Now I am curious...what is your profession?

Since you asked... I would personally go ahead and keep the offsite. $800 difference in 2 days is HUGE. And it's only for 2 days. If you weren't going onsite at all, I would think differently.

I'm with you! I just don't get resort hopping. I like to get settled in. If I were trying to change resorts, I would feel like I were wasting my time moving things around WDW instead of playing. Plus, I never sleep good my first night in a new bed. Its always the second night before I can really relax.

That's what my SIL said this morning & she's very levelheaded (unlike me right now)

No matter what I end of doing I have to switch after the first 2 days whether I'm onsite or not. We arrive on Friday and the ressie at BWV starts on Sunday.

As for what I do...we'll I'm suppossed to work in the morning from home for a publishing company but all week I've been on the DIS:rolleyes1 Then midday I have my petsitting business so I'm out walking doggies or visiting kitties from 11:15-2ish and I also almost always have a four-legged friend taking a much needed vacation in my home. ;)

I charge $50 per night so having someone call & book 29 days is fantastic news around here:yay: . Luckily, her Lab is very friendly & will get along with a couple of others who are booked as I usually only take one at a time.

Since you didn't answer me, I'm thinking you might be the infamous DC Madam - just relocated to New York! :lmao:

LOL seriously I haven't LOL like that in days! Thanks!

Anyway I just responded it just took me a long time to type:surfweb:

and if I was I would be getting my much needed rest in the morning instead of hanging out around here:lmao:

So sorry Wendy! I will definitely keep them in my prayers.

Hey..was that picture of Maggie & Mike taken at the Olive Garden?

Yes it was taken at the Olive Garden on Rt 31... Maggie is a vegetarian so she likes to eat there - my DS doesn't like it though :confused3 ... but it was her birthday so she got to pick the place...lol....

Grandpa passed away shortly after they removed the life support :sad2: ... they think he had a heart attack during the accident... Grandma was driving and pulled into on coming traffic... car was totalled - they had to use the jaws of life to remove them from the car... no news yet on grandma...the folks in the car that hit them are okay though.... thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers...

When we stayed in May I had requested Springs (very close to main pool/carriage house) but I was assigned the end building in Paddocks. Not a terrible location either but alot further from where we wanted to be & we didn't have a car. They switched us to Springs which I loved. Congress Park has some beautiful views of DTD but a bit further away. They just opened a new section Grandstand which is to the right of the main building. I saw some pics on the DVC board & it looks fantastic especially the new pool so I'm going to request that section for our May trip. The only section I would avoid is Carosel (sp?) as it's very far from everything & doesn't have a quiet pool.

We're early birds too and I thought the buses ran extemely well. Much better than our stays in the Epcot area. I've heard of chair saving too but never had an issue trying to find any at SSR. There's alot of them.

I posted a bunch of pics on this thread a few pages back if you want to take a look. I love the style of the rooms but some do not.

Have a wonderful trip. I hope you enjoy SSR as much as we do.

Yea, I know what you mean. It's sooo hard being a madam...uhm, I mean a stay-at-home mom, Yea, that's the ticket! :rotfl2:

Again, so sorry. Was this accident locally?

jjohnson.... I remember seeing them... I am excited about this trip... although feeling a little guilty as I have never traveled without the kids or been away for more than a night or two from them in 17 years.....I am sure it will put DH to the test... now he will see just HOW MUCH US MOMS DO!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone, DD & I are back from our DC trip I missed you all!!. We pulled in about 6:45 this morning after driving ALL night. We had a great time & we saw so much!! I'll write more about the trip later...right now I have to see what you all have been talking about while I was gone...it looks like I missed 25 pages so it might take me a while. Before I read them here a few comments...

DM & other Friendly's Patrons - I thought about you when we passed a Friendly's restaurant.

Karibritt - I thought about you Saturday afternoon and very late last night when we passed thru Raleigh.

Courtney - well, DD & I tried CRAWFISH...she wasn't crazy about them but I thought they were pretty good. A little boy at our table taught us how to eat them. I thought about you the whole time I was eating them!!

Welcome back and get reading!! Remember the quiz at the end. Nice to know I was thought about, even if it was when you were passing by Friendly's.

WOWIE.. you charge 50$ a night for the dogs who board at your house??? Is that an average on where you live? I charge $15 a night for boarding at my house. The fancy dog hotels charge around $25 or a little more like the pet hotel at Petsmart...
