Thank you medicgirl911. We're all sticking together and doing what we can as students. Now is not a time for rivalry but coming together.

We ordered Papa Johns.

Way to get him trained Courtney!!
My Dh is fantastic in those areas as well. After my DD was 6 weeks old, I went back to work 24 hours on/48 hours off as a paramedic. DH had no choice but to be getting up in the middle of the night with her for feedings, changing diapers, etc. It really shows now in how involved with her life he is. He is great at doing any chore around the house as long as I ask... he isn't too great at noticing something NEEDS to be done unless I specifically ask him to do it. But thats OK by me! :goodvibes It's wonderful to have such great hubby's. I know girls whose hubbys won't do any of that kind of stuff. I don't know how they put up with it!

I know-- I have friends who want to clone Ryan... We really are so lucky to have such grea men in our lives! I can't wait for him to be a daddy one day--- He's going to be so great at it!

I bet he will too! :goodvibes
Hey you mentioned you teach dance a couple nights a week, I was just curious as to what type?? And for kids or adults?? Just being nosy!

Well... just got rid of the kids I keep, and my kids will be home in 30 minutes, so no time for a tub bath for me. :sad1: Guess I'll fold some laundry and start supper.

LizA... congrats paying off your trip! I emailed my AAA agent and had her make another payment today, so I only owe $400. I should be able to pay that off end of next week. I have already been setting aside cash for travel, food, and souvies, so I am in good shape... barring anything major. Now I'm ready to start buying the "stuff" we need to go - crocs, shorts, etc. I'm starting to get really excited!

In Wynn's defense... I do work from home, so I have time to do stuff during the day. He leaves the house at 8 AM, and gets home at 8 PM. I try to have supper ready by the time he gets home, and then I clean up while he spends time with the kids. He is great with the kids... much more patient than me. He also does a lot around the house on the weekends. I do NOTHING in the yard... that is all him. And I have an unending list of things for him to do around here!

Well you would really really love Ryan then.... He does all the floors (vaccum, sweep, and mop), the toilets (I don't touch them- ewww), and the bathtub. He cooks, and loads the dishwasher after if I'm not here (I help when I'm home- since I teach dancing two nights a week, he does it before I get home). He does the laundry when I'm not here, and he irons better than I do.... Did I find the package deal or what??? And he's HOT!

Now, THAT is a package deal! Good for you! :goodvibes

My Bob is a doll... he's my calming force. I am in constant motion and very outgoing. :yay: He is the "strong, silent type". Keeps me grounded. He will do anything I ask - a great help with the cleaning and the best daddy in the world. I wouldn't trade him in for the world!

The main reason I wanted to do POFQ was the boatride to DTD. We decided we will take the boat ride to the closest resort, then the bus to the park... partly to ride the boat, and partly because the buses at DTD are HORRIBLE!! .

I really love the boat rides myself! :goodvibes We enjoyed the Dolphin's water launches to MGM and Epcot. Wish we could get to DTD by boat from the Dolphin! You are right, Kari - those buses at DTD ARE horrible!!!:sad1:

I bet he will too! :goodvibes

I teach tap, ballet, and jazz, ages 3 - 15. I teach two nights a week after work. I have five classes.... They are SO funny--- Kids are just histerical!!!!

Poor thing-- He's hardley ever home then :sad1:

We don't have a yard yet since we're still in a townhouse.... But hopefully by July we'll be in a house house with a yard for him to work in!!

I bought Crocs when we were in Boston this past week and wore them around the house to see what I think... I LOVE THEM!
DD doesn't want to wear a closed-in clog, so I will see about the flipflop type, but I told Bob he has to try them! I feel like I'm walking on a cushion. (and I got the closest to LIME GREEN that I could find! tee hee!)

Picked up a few more LGMH today - I was thinking we could get lime green sticky pads and trace the mickey ears and cut them out.... whoa... SO out of character for craft-impaired Renée...
:lmao:

My dd takes jazz, tap and baton. Well and gymnastics and tumbling too. She  it all! I think it would be so fun to teach kids like that, you are right they are hysterical! Me~~I have 2 left feet!! Its not pretty!:lmao:
:dancer:

You work all day at LSU(what do you do there?) teach dance and make doggie clothes and you still have time to DIS as much as you do? Dang girl, when do you have time for poor Ryan?:rotfl2:

Thas a big negative on the yardwork for me also, my allergies are too bad! While DH was in Iraq I tried to mow the yard, I couldn't even hardly finish it, every two rows I had to stop and blow my nose for 5 minutes! So I hired a highschool kid to do it. I work 12 hour shifts myself, so I know how yucky those can be, but I work at night 7p-7a but luckily its only 3 nights a week for full time hours.

I'm here just for a couple of minutes. I have a bad headache tonight so the computer really won't help.

Courtney - wow. Ryan is a real keeper. Maybe he'll learn to breastfeed too when you have your babies....:rotfl2:

Here's a good question of the day for all you MOMMIES or someday MOMMIES...

Did you breastfeed your babies ... or will you?

I did all 3. I didn't think I would initially but when Evan was born 9 weeks early and he didn't tolerate the tube feeds, my "mommy" instinct kicked in and started pumping away. I don't judge anyone who chooses whatever they choose. I just loved doing it after that and it really saved a lot of money!! I only did it for about 4 - 5 months each though.

Rags - you can officially be excluded from this question. Unless you want to answer it...:lmao:

I did but only for the first 2-3 months.

I did for both of my children. Tucker went to work with me for his first 6 months, so I nursed full time. When he started staying with a sitter, I nursed at night only for another 3 months. Avery nursed for 6 months (I was staying home by then), but her health issues made it really hard. She had 17 ear infections by 10 months, when she finally got tubes. Everytime she had an infection, she would stop nursing. She also had severe RSV, and has asthma because of it. Every time she got sick, I would lose my milk, and eventually I had to just stop.

Courtney... good luck on the house hunt. That is very exciting! We are hoping to build on this fall. I want to raise a bonus room, and add a bedroom for Tucker. Then we will knock out the wall between Tucker and Avery's rooms, and make that a large room for Avery. If we do that, it will add about 650 sq ft to the house, and give each kid an 11x22 room! I won't know what to do with myself with that much space! :cloud9:

I did not breastfeed. I had breast surgery before DD was born for a non-malignant tumor and then also had thyroid cancer surgery. Luckily I had decided from the start that I would formula feed, because I ended up with an extremely long and difficult labor that ended with a c-section and a post-op major infection, so I was in NO condition! :sad1: Matter of fact, Bob gave Dana her first few feedings because I was so ill.

Note to 'mothers to be": my experience is NOT the norm! (I always hate telling my story, so as not to scare anyone. It was still the best thing I ever did with the BEST results - my Dana! princess: )

I was the opposite... Tucker was 7 hours of labor from beginning to end. Avery came within 30 minutes of us getting to the hospital. :scared1:
