FINALLY BOOKED OUR FLIGHTS ! WOO HOO! :cool1:
This is so very uncharacteristic of me... I usually would have had this done MONTHS ago! For some reason, I was hoping for a "deal" - don't know why! And, of course, no deal. lol But, at least I feel settled now -

Congrats on getting your airfare! That makes it official. :thumbsup2

I hear you about airfare. I haven't paid as much as I did for this trip ever! I wanted to hold out for a deal, but fares kept going up and up and I got nervous and bought. The end of June must be a popular travel time!

LizA... congrats paying off your trip! I emailed my AAA agent and had her make another payment today, so I only owe $400. I should be able to pay that off end of next week. I have already been setting aside cash for travel, food, and souvies, so I am in good shape... barring anything major. Now I'm ready to start buying the "stuff" we need to go - crocs, shorts, etc. I'm starting to get really excited!

I've been buying stuff all along...when Dick's had a special on Crocs & also had an additional $10 off if you checked out with Google I got me and both girls Disney Crocs, we have all been wearing them to break them in, I have some rain ponchos left from last time that I have packed for DC and hopefully we won't need them there so I can just put them straight into the Disney stuff when we get back, I already have new toothbrushes for everyone :rotfl:

Here's a good question of the day for all you MOMMIES or someday MOMMIES...

Did you breastfeed your babies ... or will you?

I didn't either one of mine. I had a lot of people try to make me feel guilty with the 1st but I didn't let it bother me one bit with the 2nd. Both the pediatrician & my OB/GYN said that there are advantages & disadvantages to both. They were both fed the same formula and oldest was always in the 95 - 100 percentile in height and weight and youngest has always been in 50th in height and 20th in weight...same parents, same everything just different body types I guess...:confused3

It's almost idol time. Whose going home tonight?
I know who I want to go home but I'll be he stays at least another week.

Courtney - Ryan does sound like a keeper...my DH does a lot around the house but he doesn't cook!

this is the first group performance I like and by gosh darn as much as I hate to admit it he sounds good.

I don't know who I want to go now. I don't really love any of them, but I kind of like all of them a little...except Sanjaya, and even he is starting to grow on me.

OMG to the bottom 3! I'm nervous... I don't want any of them to go, but I guess Sanjaya is the one who deserves to go. :sad1:

I can't believe that Blake is in the bottom 3!! I know DM hopes he doesn't get sent home!

I'm here just for a couple of minutes. I have a bad headache tonight so the computer really won't help.

Courtney - wow. Ryan is a real keeper. Maybe he'll learn to breastfeed too when you have your babies....:rotfl2:

Did you breastfeed your babies ... or will you?

I did all 3. I didn't think I would initially but when Evan was born 9 weeks early and he didn't tolerate the tube feeds, my "mommy" instinct kicked in and started pumping away. I don't judge anyone who chooses whatever they choose. I just loved doing it after that and it really saved a lot of money!! I only did it for about 4 - 5 months each though.

Rags - you can officially be excluded from this question. Unless you want to answer it...:lmao:

Yes I did also... both of mine until they were about 8 months old... also rocked them in the rocking chair every night.... my DS(14) is 3 to 4 inches taller than me and will still jump on my lap... he is such a cutie....

I teach tap, ballet, and jazz, ages 3 - 15. I teach two nights a week after work. I have five classes.... They are SO funny--- Kids are just histerical!!!!

Courtney.. I just got back from picking up my DD after my scholarship meeting... she has been dancing since she was 3... most ballet, jazz and lyrical... had a couple years of pointe in there but broke her ankle twice so that doesn't help on those pointe shoes... I was able to see her lyrical solo tonight... it is amazing... she loves to dance....

Hey everybody!! I'm so glad to be home. I can't wait to watch Lost. It's the only thing I watch during the week. Sounds like all of you have great husbands. You don't know how lucky you are!! I breastfed all my kids. Even the twins. That was hard, but worth it. When they were first born they were too little to use a bottle or breastfeed. When they were big enough I only did it for like 5 months, but they had to bottlefeed too.

Ok, I know the rest of the world is thrilled, but I'm sitting here crying like a baby! I'm really gonna miss Sanjaya, and watching him cry was too much for me! God I'm pathetic... ;)

I'm glad that he is gone but it was so sad seeing him cry like that!!

So I guess Sanjaya went home, huh? I was out to eat and just got home and read the posts... Well that's good, now I just need to finish watching the T-Vo....

My dd takes jazz, tap and baton. Well and gymnastics and tumbling too. She  it all! I think it would be so fun to teach kids like that, you are right they are hysterical! Me~~I have 2 left feet!! Its not pretty!:lmao:
:dancer:

They are so funny--- It's so fun.

You work all day at LSU(what do you do there?) teach dance and make doggie clothes and you still have time to DIS as much as you do? Dang girl, when do you have time for poor Ryan?:rotfl2:

Poor Ryan---- I know... That's why I'm so greatful that he does so much... Or else, I'd starve (and so would he and Maddie), the house would be filty, and we'd have no clean clothes.

He's very understanding. Tuesday we go walking together (with Maddie in her doggie stroller-- Yes, we are quite a sight)... We train for Disney this way-- All of that walking through the parks takes work!!! Thursday is my cleaning the house night..... Friday is our going out to eat night.... Saturday is our running errands, hanging out, bbqing day. Sunday is church, then eat lunch, do some housework (sew, etc), then we go to my parent's to eat dinner (every Sunday)... I teach on Mondays and Wednesdays... Didn't teach tonight b/c my brother was in town (he's in school in Memphis).... He's coming to LSU next year so I'm so excited!!!! Anyway- I missed my little girls tonight but I was excited to see my brother!

Courtney - wow. Ryan is a real keeper. Maybe he'll learn to breastfeed too when you have your babies....:rotfl2:

Now, that, would be record-breaking! I'll let you know if we find a way to accomplish that!

Poor Rags--- We're gonna make him never want to read our thread again!

Courtney... good luck on the house hunt. That is very exciting! We are hoping to build on this fall. I want to raise a bonus room, and add a bedroom for Tucker. Then we will knock out the wall between Tucker and Avery's rooms, and make that a large room for Avery. If we do that, it will add about 650 sq ft to the house, and give each kid an 11x22 room! I won't know what to do with myself with that much space! :cloud9:

WOW--- That would be AWESOME!!!!! They'd each have their own little house w/in your house!!!! I wish I could just build something, but we'll save that for a few years down the road.

Did you build the house you are in now and just adding on to that?

I did not breastfeed. I had breast surgery before DD was born for a non-malignant tumor and then also had thyroid cancer surgery. Luckily I had decided from the start that I would formula feed, because I ended up with an extremely long and difficult labor that ended with a c-section and a post-op major infection, so I was in NO condition! :sad1: Matter of fact, Bob gave Dana her first few feedings because I was so ill.

Note to 'mothers to be": my experience is NOT the norm! (I always hate telling my story, so as not to scare anyone. It was still the best thing I ever did with the BEST results - my Dana! princess: )

SingingMom--- How scary! Not scary for me to have kids, but scary for you... What an experience!! I'm so glad everything worked out for you!

PS- I'm so glad you FINALLY booked your flight!

I did pointe too! It was so fun, but only when I was younger- I'm glad I don't do it anymore... Too damaging on the feet! I LOVE lyrical! That's what my solo is in our recital this year! It's so enjoyable to dance and lyrical is so fun to watch-- it's very moving!

So, I'm only on the part of AI where the just announced the bottom three---- No matter how much I love Blake, those three truly were the worst of the bunch last night. For once, I agree 100% with the bottom three.

Hi...welcome to our really fun thread!!! We will be at 1900 Park Fare on 6/28 at 6pm celebrating DD's 4th birthday...maybe we'll see you there!! That looks like the only time our paths might cross. By the way Happy Anniversary!!!...how many years? DH & I will be celebrating 16 years on 6/22.

Courtney - my youngest wants you to teach her dance class...when I told her that you couldn't that you live in LA she said "she teaches LA how to dance"...so in her little mind she thinks that you teach all of LA!! This is her 2nd year to take ballet...her recital is the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. I can't wait...they are soo cute at her age. Last year every little girl was doing something different...:rotfl: She also takes tumbling. We went to her end of the year parent presentation last week...she was so excited to get her trophy!! Her favorites are hand stands, back bends, trampoline & balance beam.

How sweet!!!! Awwww:love:
She's right-- I teach all of LA how to dance :cheer2:

Last year I really stressed about the little ones. I would get so upset when they wouldn't do what I taught them. And then I realized, "heck, they are not going to do what you taught them on the stage anyway, so why stress?"

They do whatever the heck they want to in the recital..... But that's what makes them so cute!

I bet your DD is ADORABLE!!!! Sweet little thing!

Her teacher has taught little ones for at least 8 years now (oldest had her too) and I think she is just releived when she gets them all on stage without crying!!

I told her that one day maybe she could dance for you!!
