QUESTION OF THE DAY....

As I was reading some posts..have any of you been on a cruise? Do you think cruising is better then Disney???Or is Disney better then any cruise???

We have been on two cruises. One about 4 yrs ago, it was a 4 night cruise on Royal Carribean. My parents picked it and paid for it:thumbsup2 ...it was nice, and I got hooked on it.

Last August(2006) we went on a 7 night cruise on Carnival to the Western Caribbean. It was nice, and you get truley spoiled on the cruises.I am not really happy with Carnival though, we had too many little problems. I figure for the price you pay to cruise with a family of 5, I expected better:confused

Its funny when we were on the cruise and just relaxing, I "thought" it was better then Disney. BUT... now that I am planning our Disney trip for June...I think Disney is better then a cruise:laughing:

I have never been on a cruise but am considering it cos I LOVE Disney

We may do one next year, but the more I think about it, the more I wonder if it will measure up to a trditional Disney vacation.:confused3

Good morning my DIS friends!

For me, it's really hard to compare a cruise to a Disney vacay. I've been on both, and it's hard to pick which I prefer. I guess because they are so different. I have not, however, been on the Disney cruise.

A few years ago, I went on a Carnival Cruise to Cozumel, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman. It was fabulous, but it's relaxing. Disney, to me, is not relaxing. We go, go, go, go, go, go, go on our Disney trips. We are literally in the room only to sleep and shower. We get back from Disney and need a vacay! So, depending on what mood I'm in, depends on which I'd choose.... Both are GREAT though!!!! And right now, I'm in the mood to go, go, go, so I'm ready to be in WDW!!!!

PS - You can't beat a warm Krispy Kreme! Delish!

Thats exactly what my husband says. He likes cruises better because he said they are relaxing. He thinks Disney is a "Working vacation",he says its a lot of work to be at Disney.;)

Welcome to our Stalking thread! We love having new people to stalk. I will add your name and schedule to the front page later today if I get a chance.

Another question of the day:

What is your job/occupation????

I am technically a sahm(Stay at home mom)also I am a dogsitter. I have dogs come to my house when the owners are away from home.I have been doing this for 12 yrs. We have dogs coming and going all the time. People think we are crazy. I have 2 large dogs, a foster dog, and then doggie customers. Sometimes we have as many as 8 dogs here at once:eek: Sometimes it gets hectic, but then I look forward to my paycheck..its all worth it. How else would I get to Disney??:confused3

Hello all, a little off topic here :offtopic: but, I stayed up till 1:30 am last night. Wanna take a guess what I was doing? Well since you asked, I was typing out our touring plans for June. Yes folks, this is me today  ...half asleep. I need more tea :coffee: . Yes, so I typed them up and put pretty little picture on them. I am going to print them out (smaller version) and laminate them. That way we can bring them to each park each day. What are you thinking now???? "Is she sick:sick: ?" or crazy? :sad2:
Actually, neither. I cant take the credit...I learned the trick right here on Dis:disrocks: . I am keeping in mind we will probably get off track but at least we have a plan! :yay: So how many more days is it till June???

Did you see the new Disney movie...Meet the Robinson's? I have to say it is excellent. Right up there with Toy Story in my opinion. :thumbsup2
I saw someone that did that! Was it CinderellaFan? I'm not sure but it was cool. I could NEVER follow a schedule like that with my little rugrats.

DM- I'm in the same boat as you. We probably will not be back to Disney for a few years. We are wanting to do some other things for a while. The only thing that makes it easier to take... we are planning a Disney cruise for May 2008!:woohoo: Trying to decide between 7 night Western Caribean or 3 night land/ 4 night sea in the bahamas. I know... trying to sneak the world in there!

My favorite ice cream is Heath Bar by Breyers. YUMMO to quote Courtney!

Anyone have an opinion on Alfredo's in Epcot? I am seriously rethinking that ADR, as I keep reading terrible things!
When we stayed in Cape Canaveral last October we watched the Disney cruise ships sail into port a couple of times. It was cool to hear the ship play "When You Wish Upon a Star" on the ?horn? as they sailed in.

Oh, that "YUMMO" - you quoted the wrong person. Courtney stole it from Racheal Ray!!!!! Stealer stealer pumpkin eater!!!

The first and last time we went to Alfredo's was back in 1996 and we did not like it at all. Didn't care for the food, the service, or how we were seated. But that was a long time ago. I'm hoping the new dining place they put in there will be better.

it wouldn't be so bad but nothing is working, I'll probably to go to the doctor because of it.

Never been on a cruise. We would love to do one but we just have more "important" vacations to do before that.

Now time to get the boys off to school.......:teacher:

Lets see if I can rember everything that was covered....

All are invited to my wedding, you can just "crash" there will be so many people there, no one will notice :rotfl:

I have been to Vegas a couple of times (both time in July- WAY TOO HOT!)

I missed all the Disney stuff on the travel channell yesterday :sad2:

Dunkin donuts has the BEST coffee, but I would not be surprised if krispy cream has some very addicting drug in them :rolleyes1

I am doing the best of both worlds for my Disneymoon 6 days at the parks followed by a 4 night disney cruise :cloud9:

I am a financial analyst for Citizens bank (Charter One for you folks in the mid west) and my job is actually even more boring than it sounds..............

Oh yeah- Scilla REALLY wants to go to Alfredo's (she LOVES Itialian food) but I am scared

Oh yeah- when I get time I want to print out all the CS menus in each park. Last time we went we got sick of hamburgers so this way we can look at all the menus and decide which one to eat at:idea:

I've done that already - and also the menus of the TS places that we have ADRs for. I check back frequently to see if they have been updated. You should see my travel planning folder....:upsidedow

On they on the size of index cards? I was hoping to get them as small as possible so we didn't have to lug around a folder/binder

No. They are normal 8x11 sheets of paper printed on both sides at times. I will be bringing them down on our trip but won't lug them during the day. I think we will look at them prior to each park day and get a good idea of which we may want then.

I just read through the menus, and listed the ones I like on my daily itenerary for each park. I figured when we get hungry, we will pick one then.

If you have time, I would suggest Pepper Market at Coronado Springs for a CS meal. They make it fresh when you order. Last year I had a quesadilla that was out of this world! They also have a ribeye, potato, veggie ($19), plus bread or dessert for a CS credit!

As for my job, I do home daycare. :scared1: I keep 5 + DD4. This week is spring break, so DS8 is home, too.

Whatever! I don't even watch Rachel Ray. She is not fun to watch for me.... So, YUMMO is directly from little 'ole me... Trust me, I come up with some creative words....

Besides, Ryan's the one who watches food network anyway.... He's the chef of the family! Thank goodness.... Seriously, we'd live on cereal and poptarts if it were left up to me.

wow- that place does look great- too bad we treat CS meals as just a stop in the park- I do want to stay at Coronado Springs so that is even more a reason to stay!
