Okay, I'm getting off now. Since we're getting close to our vacations, let's have a little fun now. Guess the character. Here's an easy one...
cruela02.gif

We buy Fritos and Baked Lays! But we also buy Pringles and Ruffles! (sorry!) Has to be Ruffles when you're dipping!

I've tried them but they just don't appeal to me. I'm not a big chip eater anyways.

The character is Cruella De Ville.

I am not a big chip eater either. The only chips I really like are Chocolate chips:lmao:

Sorry DM, but we also travel with Pringles. Love the flamin' hot ones! Also I like Flips when on vacation. We will also take Pop Tarts, and granola bars for breakfast as well as some Mini cereals. I also found some granola snacks that are in little triangle chips with brown sugar and cinnamon that are great snack. Apple juice boxes are also a must to ensure proper movement of the bowels. In case any other family has constipation issues on trips this really seems to work for our family. I know TMI, but it is good info to have.

Man ya'll are chatty today. Go away for a few hours and come back to 2 pages to read. Love your house Sarah!:love:Congratulations!

I know what you mean, Kanga! We had Dana's 8th grade dinner dance last night and I was it school all day today trying to get the Summer Reading Requirement packages put together and copied - and then met friends for dinner... NOW I'm finally here and I have TONS of pages to catch up with!

Sarah - your new home is lovely. Lots of luck to you - the photo of the boys in front of the fireplace is beautiful. Very sweet. The housing market is amazingly different in our part of the country! Bought our four bedroom center hall colonial 10 years ago (built 1976) for $295,000 and could probably sell it now for between $600,000 - $700,000. But, then you'd have to afford something else! The home around the block (granted, it is nicer than ours and newer) is on the market for $1 million. YIKES!

Anybody still up that may be interested... History channel is doing Modern Marvels on MK right now. I have seen this one before, and it is very interesting. Really gets me excited!!! Good night, all!

I just have one thing to say right now, when you volunteer to do something do your job and don't goof off!

Are we all just a bit excited?

I am very excited...i have a countdown on my white board at work!!

That's great.... happy tunes!!!

She took the clarinet over the Paul's mom's house today and his brother that played the clarinet in HS taught her how to play a few notes on it. She had to show us as soon as she got home.

Thanks!! I live outside of Nashville, TN in a city called Murfreesboro. It was $210,000.

Your house is beautiful!! And it sounds like a wonderful price...around here something similar would be around $330K.

For those Driving to Disney...

How often do you stop? What kind of snacks do you bring with you in the car?

My husband does most of the driving. He stops every hour to hour and half, it drives me crazy:rolleyes: He said its because he drinks a lot of soda so has to use the restroom a lot:sad2: . I just hate stopping so much because that means everybody has to get out. Well we really dont all have too. But, then the kids decide they need to go, and I cant let my 7 yr old daughter in the bathroom by herself. Then that means Faith wants to get out as well. Its just such a pain to stop so often and pile out and then back in again.

For snacks, I am trying to be smart. I am buying snacks I dont like. I use to always buy some sort of chocolate chip cookie little packages for the kids. Then Id end up eating too many.:rolleyes1 . I am going to try so hard to make healthy choices, expecially for the road trip. My downfall is Chocolate:love:

Theoretically it takes us just shy of 9 hours but MapQuest does not take my DH's driving into account...he drives slow and he likes to stop a lot!! I joke that he had to stop at every Wal-Mart between here and Orlando just to see if any of them had any Hot Wheels cars that he didn't have. It actually took us over 11 hours...I'm hoping not to stop as much this time!

As far as snacks, we have to take Gargetto's (we took these on our honeymoon and have taken them every trip since), gummies, chips and cookies. I haven't bought any of that yet because if I did it would be gone before leave.

How dare you buy Pringles. Don't you know that Rob works for Frito-Lay. You should buy Lay's Stax - they taste just like Pringles and are in those nice cannisters. Plus it helps our stock...;)

I'll have to admit that I like Pringles better than Lay's Stax too but my all time favorite chip is Lay's Dill Pickle chips...yummo!!

Thanks for letting us know about this...I am watching it now. I've seen it before too but it never gets old.

I just got home from my sister's high school graduation. I can't believe she made it. We are over 15 years apart. I have a picture of us on my high school graduation so I made sure we took one of us tonight.

As far as stopping... Mapquest says it is 12 hours from us. I actually am not going to drive straight through. I get worried that I will get to sleepy to drive. I am going to stop for the night but I am not sure where. I have to figure that out. Atlanta is only 4 hours from me, so I would like to drive at least 7 hours. I guess I need to figure out what is 3 hours past Atlanta. Does anyone know where this would be? I would like to plan a hotel to stay at.

As far as snacks... I have bought some things at Sams. I got a variety pack of Lays chips. I got a variety box of Nabisco cookies and crackers. I got a big thing of Capri Sun juice boxes, bottles of water, bottles of Arizona Green Tea, and bottles of Gatorade. I also got some granola bars and pop tarts.

Sarah, I think Tifton should be about 3 hours south of Atlanta. I think that is where we will stop too.

Gotta Love Sam's club, expecially for the big packages of snacks.:thumbsup2 We will head over the a few days before we leave. If I buy too many goodies, they will be gone too soon.:rolleyes1

Sounds like fun Courtney :)

No real plans here. Husband is working, son is at "Clean the bay day". My 7 yr old has a friend over. SO its just us girls, and the 4 dogs:thumbsup2

Our big pool is not opened yet. I will fill up the baby pool for the girls later, as its going to be mid 80's today..gotta love summer:banana:

The character is Cruella De Ville.
Ding, ding, ding....except I think you spell her last name De Vil (kind of like the fallen angel :scared1: )

Thanks for your support! Ruffles is on our stock too. Anything that Pepsico owns does us good. Quaker Oats products, blah blah blah. Have you tried the new Granola Bites? My kids love them.

I'll have to admit that I like Pringles better than Lay's Stax too but my all time favorite chip is Lay's Dill Pickle chips...yummo!!
You're not all that bad then.... :lmao: I don't eat any flavored chips. I really only will eat chips if it goes with a sandwich.

I can just see our stock dividends rising now! :rotfl2:

Sounds like a lot of fun Courtney. Have a great time.

We have a family retirement party to go to tonight. Finally a dinner the kids are invited to. It gets hard sometimes when they aren't invited to certain things. I only use family for babysitters.

It's really nice out right now but we are supposed to get some storms this evening. Hopefully they will come later in the evening. I don't mind storms then, as long as they aren't that bad.

I have to go work the gate at our ball tournament this morning then we play at 12. After that we will probably come home and swim. Chris is putting in a pool this week so we won't see much of him, but that's more spending $$$ in my pocket for our trip so I won't complain.
Oh, by the way he got is Crocs yesterday and likes them, but he says he will probably wear them with little ankle socks cuz his feet sweat a lot. So if you see a man walking around the parks with chocolate brown Crocs with little white footie socks that's my DH!:rotfl: Oh, well, what ever is comfy I guess. I got him the Crete flip flops, but he said he doesn't think he can walk in those at the parks all day, so he will probably just wear those down to the pool and stuff.
Have a great day everyone!:wave2:

My Mickey Beach Crocs made my feet sweat a lot. Since I don't want to wear socks in the parks, I'll stick to my 3 different flip-flop Crocs.

When you are at Disney, what time do you all get up in the morning? Do you have a hard time or easy time getting everybody up and out of the room?

It seems for us, the first days it is easy, everybody is excited and ready to go..About day 3, it seems that the kids have a hard time moving. By then thier bodies have tired out and need a little more extra rest;)

We always try to be at the parks for opening, normally we always make it, or maybe a5-10 minutes later.

The first full day for us will be a killer, as we have 7:50am ADR for Chef Mickey:thumbsup2 ...we will be up more early then normal.
