I wanna know too! :scared1:

But, I know you might have to keep it secret awhile--but after that you guys better get with it quick and let us know! :goodvibes

Oh, that's harsh...so if you didn't win last year, you didn't even get an email saying so? I can sort of understand they don't want to get on the phone and have a debate about why someone didn't win but not to say anything? You could be guessing for 2 weeks?!

EDIT -- just read Fleagle's post about not narrowing down so it sounds like the two contests aren't following the same process

I could be wrong though... but I could understand why they wouldn't notify the non-qualifiers because they may want to make a big splash with the announcement of the Top 10. If those who don't make it were to say "I didn't make it"... you could narrow it down. The Top 10 would have incentive to remain quiet if that's what was asked of them. But the non-Top 10 would have no such motivation.

However... if I don't make it but they don't want it known who made it until the announcement... I'll be happy to stay quiet.

Not to change the subject, but when's the next lotto, fleagle?

Well, I could sit up and agonize about it... or I could get some sleep and maybe dream about a trip to Disney Parks to celebrate a new job that I found on Careerbuilder.com.

So... goodnight all! Sorry our numbers didn't hit! Always worth a shot!

Peace out Fleagle . . . catch you on the flip side . . .

Or something like that

I don't think there was that middle step. It was straight to 20 finalists for each position... and straight to the votes. (right kenny?)

Last year was so much different and easier. We got a call that we made top 20 for each category. After getting all that paperwork done, we were announced to the public.
Public voted (I only voted for myself once, really!) and we were called, then the public was notified of the 5 winners per category.

This year:
20 top secret James Bond like "finalists"
Narrowed to 10 by Q who knows all the top secret codes
Public is notified
Vote 10 down to 3 (You are the weakest link, goodbye!)
3 are wined and dined at Disney World with some kind of American Idol meets Survivor competition. Oh public votes AGAIN!!!
1 final winner is announced.

Or you could dream about being CMO!

Thanks for playing again, and don't worry! :wizard:

Yep. There are many people on youtube that aren't aware they've narrowed it to 20, let alone 10!

The actual calls were a week or two before the announcement to the public. We had to fill out all kinds of paperwork.

So calls this week to ID Top 10...then paperwork is sent, filled out and exchanged back the end of this week, beginning of next (assume some might have delays), then Disney helps Top 10 ramp up (?) and web pages and other media are prepared, finally March 2nd is the "Big Splash".

So right now we're in a quiet period and don't expect to hear much...

Well, that was based on last year's experience. I'd guess that they got all their paperwork at 20 that they would need at 10. Who knows, they might only find out on the 2nd on the website. I'm sure the sponsors (I won't say their names again until I'm promised another free trip! :rotfl: ) are liking the fact that we are discussing all this though.

Alright, I gotta check out for the night too. Thanks for the good conversation as always!

Catch up with ya tomorrow...

Well, I know it's got to be hard on them, but I feel really confident that most/if not all of the 10 will be people we know!
