I am loving this season of lost! I hope that since the writer's strike is off they can finish the other half of the season.

Me too! I feel like I did when I first got hooked - rewatching the episodes, not being able to wait for the next one...

I'm glad we got side-tracked...since I can't be cmo, well then I'll just obsess about Lost! :goodvibes

WHEW its been a busy weekend I've been flying around for work and am just now catching up on a dozen pages of posts. I guess all twenty affidavits were submitted as no new folks have popped up as part of the twenty. Although I wonder if Ricky's "inside scoop" on the 8th is Patrick from Window to the Magic, as I know he and Paul have co-hosted (and even swapped) PodCasts...not to mention Patrick's video was seriously fun. (Although fleagle's assessment of the other 13 I think might not be far off...)

I know Andy over on the Inside the Magic boards had his interview today so best of luck to him. Although since reading his post (and some of the suggested questions) it has my mind racing. And it'll probably keep racing until my interview at 3 Eastern on Weds (right after Justin's it sounds like).

PS: donald's take over of the dreamcmo.com site is great I wonder what else they have instore especially during the voting for the ten

Hey, Tripp -- where do you own DVC? We are members too at SSR and AKV. Best Disney thing we ever did!!:thumbsup2

We bought SSR toward the end of 2006. It truely was the best thing we ever did as well. We were averaging one trip a year (give or take) and now we are able to go 2-3 times a year. I've only actually stayed at SSR once. On our other trips we have stayed at OKW, and we will stay at BWV March 9-13 for the first time. Can't wait! And if I actually make the Top 10 (who really knows at this point), I will be able to do some serious on-site campaigning... if that is allowed of course.

I have been a LOST nut since the beginning, although I didn't join the easter egg hunt until the end of season one. I played the first ARG for a little while, but then ran out of time. I have been blogging the show since season two. If any one would like the url, let me know.

Very cool! We did a split stay at BCV and AKV in Sept and are going back to BCV in May. Gotta love that SAB mini-waterpark and walk into Epcot!! I'm anxious to hear how BWV is -- have you started a Pre-Trip Report on DIS yet? You may want to {hint, hint}... If so, send us the link, I'd love to read it.

Ok, off to read Fleagle's TR!

Hi, gang. I hope you don’t mind that I did a little more sleuthing in an effort to guess the identities of the “missing thirteen finalists.” Actually, I can hardly call it sleuthing since all I’m really doing is using the candidates’ own video postings and any other information linked directly to that video, but it’s amazing what you can find.

Since a few people have mentioned her on this forum, I thought I would focus on Lynze since I spotted her CMO video on YouTube very early in the competition and thought it was great. It would not surprise me at all if she has made the top 20. Under her video on YouTube, a couple of people have posted inquiries (along with words of encouragement) asking if she’s among the top 20, but there have been no replies despite the fact that the last login for that YouTube account was recent enough to have seen the messages. (If you remember from my earlier post, this follows the same pattern as Chad Thompson’s video.) I can think of a number of reasons why a finalist might choose to remain anonymous, but if I were a non-finalist, I would be inclined to say something like “Sorry guys… no, I didn’t make it” just to get a little sympathy and TLC.

Lynze’s video was posted on YouTube by someone who calls themselves BDisneyDPC. I clicked on that name straight from the webpage that contained Lynze’s video, and it took me to BDisneyDPC’s main YouTube page which contained a YouTube profile and links to other videos posted to that same account. It took me a matter of minutes to find out from the info and videos that BDisneyDPC is Brandon Barbosa who was one of the Dream Job winners in last year’s contest (an Honorary Parade Performer). He is obviously a close personal friend of Lynze’s since she appears prominently in several of his YouTube videos (including one with a group of friends who celebrated Brandon’s 21st birthday in Las Vegas last year). This makes me wonder if Lynze isn’t the “secret 8th finalist” being kept under wraps by Ricky since surely Ricky, Kenny, and the others from last year know Brandon well enough to have learned this information.

Lynze’s connection to Brandon answers a few questions I had in my own mind about how Lynze was able to do so many things in her video that are generally considered “behind-the-scenes” or VIP activities in the park. Perhaps Brandon’s status as one of last year’s winners opened a few doors. My only remaining question was why might Lynze choose to remain anonymous. One of Brandon’s videos entitled “Deflowerd” might contain the answer. (You can find it by following the steps I named above and from Brandon’s main YouTube page, click either the numeral 13 to the right of the word “Videos” or the small print that says “See all 13 videos.” Deflowerd is the last one. Another, much simpler way to see it is the go to google and search “Deflowering Brandon”. It is currently the first listing and is titled MySpaceTV Videos: Deflowering Brandon by Brandon.) A few words of advice if you decide to watch: Watch the video today since I fully expect it to be removed by either Brandon or Lynze once this post hits the airways, and watch it with mature audiences only.

Yes, that’s the same Lynze. Actually, this was more than my amateur detective skills had prepared me for, but it was literally a matter of clicks and there I was. I’m not sure this is what Disney and Careerbuilder really had in mind when they launched this contest, but I’ll let you guys make the call. --- Nancy Drew

That was posted in 2006???

So that didn't affect Brandon's entry at all???

He didn't take it down during his contest?

Totally surprising that it didn't affect him winning the contest. I did some further checking on Linze and wow.

According to Brandon on our private board, Lynze did not make the finals.

Which leads to the inevitable question ... Where are all of the women semi-finalists? :confused3

Lynze may not have made it to the next round, but I have to say, Nancy Drew, that your ability to dig up "dirt" on the applicants is quite impressive... ;)

'Any further leads on Chad Thompson? (I'm still wondering if he's currently a U.S. resident.) Maaan, wouldn't it stink if the judges really fell in love with a submission -- only to learn that the applicant wasn't even qualified to enter the contest? Hopefully, they checked such details first, "deep-sixed" anyone who didn't qualify, then started the looooong process of reviewing video submissions.

Here's hoping that peetah's observation about the Ricky-Patrick-"Window to the Magic" connection is correct! :thumbsup2

I second that! I just loved his video, and hope he's keeping mum for now but when the Top 10 are revealed his will be one of them!

I didn't see any behind the scenes footage in her video BTW.
Without trying to sound like a jerk.... she did seem to have an "in" as far as filming at a Disney park was concerned. I mean good for her for exploiting it to her use... but I'm kind of surprised and happy at the same time that she didn't make it. Surprised because it was a well done video, happy because she seemed a bit phony.
