Diser's for CMO!

Thanks, but I want you all to know that was never my intention. Once the seven finalists came forward on this forum and we all began to speculate on who the others might be, I just remembered a few I had especially enjoyed and wondered if they had made it. That’s how my sleuthing got started, but I honestly was looking more for pixie dust than actual dirt. I suppose it’s sometimes hard to find one without the other.

No worries! :thumbsup2 My comment was sincere but may have come across as more of a backhanded compliment... Oops!

Trust me DD - if any Diser's make it to the top 10 we will all be voting like crazy!

I am happy to hear it wasn't that bad. And your right, it must be easier when you know the interview is for the best job ever.

So, now that the interview is over, did they give you an indication of when you would know if you are in the top 10, or will you find out at the same time as the rest of us?

At the end of the interview they asked me if I had any questions. So I asked them if I was top 10 material. Hey, I want to know. They wouldn't say. :confused3 But, they did say that they would need to notify the top 10 as soon as possible. They were going to be giving them "tools" to help promote themselves. Websites/pages, banners (is that a web term or would it be and actual banner?) It sounded rather technological. So, I'm guessing the top 10 will know before everyone else. Wait a sec. If a Diser is top 10, they'll let the other Disers know, and then the top 10 won't know before everybody else, or rather they'll know minutes before everybody else. Right? Right? I don't know. :)

I'm guessing that the "banners" would be web banner ads -- those mini advertisement banners at the top of a web page. When clicked, they redirect the viewer to another site -- in this case, the Careerbuilder.com (or Disney) web page. :thumbsup2

Thanks DisgeeksfromDC, that makes sense. Also, I like your icon. :)

My apologies, my intentions were not to purposefully go out of my way to make negative judgements, just stating my humble opinion. I agree with you though that any DISneyphile could pull of what she did. I'm not familliar with Disneyland's setup and layout, having only been there once, and being a "World" guy myself. There is a shot where she is on a stage, can any guest have access to that staging area?

Yeah, anyone could have been in those areas.

Yeah, I made different ones for my campaign and my friend's campaign last year. You could click them and they would take you directly to my voting page. I guess they think they should keep the field even by providing them?
Here's some of the ones I made.

Very cool! ("Cast yer lot!")

Were you the only ones to have them last year? (That was a really good idea, btw -- especially the "10-for-10" ransom challenge. 'Gotta keep those votes coming, KWIM? :thumbsup2 )

Thanks, I tried to have some fun with it.

No, there were some others that had some banners too. I know that the members of doombuggies were given banners by the board owner. Ricky had one on his ************** homepage and several others did them for their myspaces.

I think it worked pretty well. I had more than 80,000 click throughs on careerbuilder.
Tim had more than 76,000.
Ricky had more than 21,000.
Each of us had more than 43,000 "views" that counted on youtube. I still don't know how you get less views than click throughs???
Here's the ones I made for Tim for Haunted Mansion.

Ok... quick fun break, just to celebrate my relief for getting my interview done with...

I live in Virginia where we have the Mega Millions Lottery. Tonight's jackpot is $150 Million

I just went and bought a ticket with the following numbers:

12-15-40-51-56 and the Mega Ball of 28 (I did the first five as easy picks... but the 28 for Mickey)

Here is the fun part... anybody who posts "Count Me In" on this forum before 11 PM eastern time tonight will qualify for the prize.

If I match all five numbers PLUS the mega ball... I'll treat everyone who has qualified (plus 3 guests each) to 7 days and 6 nights at Walt Disney World in Florida in a Deluxe Resort. How can I do this you ask? Because I will have won $150 Million Dollars... so I'll spread the magic around!!!

So, get your entry in before 11 PM eastern and I'll post the numbers when they are announce. You've all got a 1 in 173 million chance of winning (or something like that) Can't hurt to dream!!!

Legal mumbo jumbo: This is just a fun prize and fleagle reserves the right to rule on each contestants eligibility for the prize. All decisions by Fleagle as to who has qualified are final. If fleagle does not hold the winning ticket, no prizes will be awarded.

Edited for one more piece of mumbo jumbo... you have to have posted on this particular thread previously to be eligible.

Ooooh! "Count me in! Count me in!" -- since somebody else is paying... ;)

Wouldn't that be a fantastical way to kick of your "gig" as Disney CMO!?

But first: 'Any more fine print? (I like to know what I'm getting myself into. :rotfl: )

Put me down - for Animal Kingdom Lodge!

Cat

No more fine print... I promise! I just wanted to be sure I was clear so that I didn't have 50,000 people laying claim to the prize when we win!!!

I'm not a gambler... but I like to play when the number gets up there. Because, it only costs a dollar, but you get a whole day of dreaming about what you would do with the money... total bargain!

DISGeeks... which resort would you like???

"Count Me In" :cool1:

I would want to stay hmmm...at the Contemporary tower, I think. DS wants the WL. Of course, if I ever win the lottery (that I hardly every play) I want a DVC membership at the Boardwalk. Then I'd figure out a way to host a party at one of the villas for my Internets.
