I must agree that I was a bit amused by the fact that some of the current finalists didn't get the name correct, but I guess they allowed some room to fudge that huh?

I was doing some research to get any new info and saw that you posted the known results on other forums. You AARRRR pirate: so thoughtful.

Kenny was our resident researcher last year. He was (and still is) pretty much the first to discover new information. He even discovered careerbuilders test site that they used before rolling out information to the general public. And, he figured out the judges ranking for all the finalists -- something that CB and Disney tried to keep secret. If he wasn't such a great pirate pirate: , he'd be a good private investigator :cool2: .

Ohh, I hope that means kenny will have new scoop for us soon! I just can't believe we only know about 7 so far!

Ricky knows #8, but he's sworn to secrecy on that. I can't find any others to come forward yet. CB did a little better this year because they followed our youtube message board posts last year.

they have for SURE contacted all 20 of them? im still in shock there has been no word of any more females....

One thing we discovered last year -- careerbuilder was on time (sometimes even early). I'm sure the finalists have been contacted. There's a chance that some of the finalist will get disqualified for some reason and I think that is why they chose 20 which they will narrow down to 10. On several occasions last year, we had to scramble to get documents notarized and returned to them. It was quite hectic at times and we were (at least I was) nervous that we would mess something up and get disqualified.

One major difference this year versus last year was YouTube. Since every video HAD to be posted on YouTube, it was not difficult for us to find each other. We knew ALL the winners before it was announced to the public. Unfortunately, this year we don't have that luxury.

Personally, I think that Disney and CB would prefer that the finalist not be in contact with each other. They knew about our YouTube group and I think it came as a surprise to them that we would be able to coordinate so quickly. Maybe that is why they are not using YouTube this year. Which is too bad -- because that is how we all become such good friends.

So, I know this would just be a guess on your part, but do you think the top 10 will be told they're the top 10 before March 2? Or do you think they'll try to keep it secret until the last minute when they post for voting?

Since they will not require additional information to go from the top 20 to the 10 (no additional affidavits), I do not think they will reveal that information until the 2nd. I think that the final 3, however, will know before it is revealed to the public (as they will need to sign additional releases).

Makes sense. Thanks - even though I didn't make it, I'm still really obsessing about this contest!

It's so cool you guys formed such a bond, and that you are so into this year's contest, too!

I'm interesting in this year's contest because it brings back all the emotions that I felt last year. We were just as obsessed last year as you guys are this year. I still can't believe that I was able to live out my dream. I was just thrilled that I entered and made it to the finals. It really was a life changing experience.

I feel a little sorry for this year's winner, though. They won't get to experience the great camaraderie that we got from sharing the experience with 24 other people.

Did last years winners get to go through some of the Disney training? "Traditions", for example? I think that is one of the best things for the winner this year.

LuvsTink...

We talked about J. Geils Band and your song yesterday. Then last night I was flipping through channels and there was "The Wedding Singer" singing "Love Stinks"

Yes. We attended an abbreviated Traditions class. It was about an hour long (versus the normal eight hours). We were in full costume and we were ushered to our seats in a procession lead by various characters who were dressed similar to us.

The class was given by a couple of the Disney Ambassadors and we learned a little about how Disney brings the magical experience to its guests.

Afterwards, we all marched up on to the stage to receive our honorary cast member badges.

It was a blast.
