DISer chapter of NKOTB anonymous, part deux... we don't want an intervention!!!

It's actually being hosted by Jimmy Marsh but it said special surprise guests on the site. You know at least Donnie will be there! They had an option for GA or VIP so we all went for VIP. I have no idea what VIP includes but I guess we'll find out!

Can't wait to hear about it!

VIP gets front of the line access, entry to the VIP area where he'll be, and MEET AND GREET! I'm going to meet Donnie Wahlberg! OMG! I wonder if the other guys will show up. If Jordan is there, I have to get a picture of him and Kris.

I promise details, I'm still recovering. I was soooo beat yesterday and today I'm back at work and not really functioning. Kris had a really good time, though he told me he's never seen someone get their camera out so fast when Joey Mac took his shirt off. Kris is an amazing guy, I realized it so much more this weekend.

I can't believe we didn't think about it! Well...yes I can! It was crazy in there! And we lost each other the second we stepped foot out of the VIP room...and subsequently could not get back in!

Hard Rock was just a weird place to have it. I guess they couldn't get one of the other clubs. Shrine looked awesome!

We went to Shrine Friday night, because of course Donnie mentioned he would be there. It was so packed and people were so gross I am pretty sure I came out with an STD! We left early for sure! But the walk to Hard Rock....holy moses! We left a few mins early and walked quickly. By the time we got there I was sweating!

Now for my quick recap....

We were nervous about what time we would get there Friday night because of Boston traffic, but we made great time and got there before 6! Friday night we lucked out with aisle seats in the Orchestra. Right on the aisle where the guys come out. I swear my friend Shelby is a NKOTB magnet! They all see her, stop and grab her! Jordan did this time! I did reach out and was able to touch hands with all five! Woo hoo! Jon was odd though, he came out with his head down holding onto the shoulder of the security guard. After their song in the audience they came back down our aisle. It was exciting! Also, Jon sang step 5! Which was super exciting!

After we went to Shrine as I said above. It was hot, sticky and PACKED! We left early!

Saturday we woke up and had lunch at a place called Flanagan's. Sounds Irish right? The carpet surely had a celtic print. Well you could have General Tso's chicken, a beef or lamb gyro or some lasagna. Weird, but the panini I had was so good we decided to come back for breakfast on Sunday.

At the show that night we had seats a little farther back, but still close to the aisle. We decided to hang over the railing while they came out in the audience and again, what do you know, Danny makes a beeline for Shelby. Drats! Shelby decided that she wanted to see Armando since, no joke, he was heavily flirting with her at House of Blues. At the time she thought he was a House of Blues staff member, but since seeing him in the DVD and doing some research she found out who he really was. He came by our row and she flagged him down for a picture. He asked her if she was coming to the Hard Rock that night and when she said yes, he said he would make sure to see her there. We left a few mins early and flew to the Hard Rock. I was sweating by the time I got there, not a good look when your hair is short in the back!

As we were standing outside Shelby said "I think that is Billy." Billy who you ask? Oh just a friend from childhood (who she keeps in touch with) who just happened to be a manager for some of the performers there. Does he know Donnie...of course! If he had known we were going to be there he would have set something up. Great...nice to know after the fact! He apparently was at all of Donnie's birthday party show things he did this summer!

At the Hard Rock we met Crystal and Jenny.....and Kris! I think Crystal's friend and my friend could cause some serious trouble together! HRC was super busy and I made the mistake of leaving the VIP room. They would not let me back in. Billy snuck Shelby in when security wasn't looking, but I wouldn't. I am so not a rule breaker! Ok I am a wuss! I was afraid they would see me, and throw me out and I would never get my picture!

I was nice to security though and they let me in first when they were ready! I did get my picture! As I am waiting to come in Shelby comes over and shows me her three pictures with Donnie. Jerk! Oh she got a kiss on the cheek...jerk! And just how did she make it to Donnie so quick you ask. Armando! He pulled her over to Donnie! When she said "Thank you Armando, you're so wonderful" he replied with "You don't know how wonderful I am....yet" Only Shelby! I am telling you I will ride her coattails all the way to NKOTB heaven!

She also met a guy who was with one of the artists and he kept buying her drinks. When I got there he bought me drinks too! Nice tactic....liquor up the friend of the girl you are trying to get and you will succeed! I was feeling REALLY good by the end of the night. Our tickets said the party went until 2 but around 1:20 they started kicking people out. We finally called it a night around 2 and went back to our hotel. I did not feel well the next morning for sure!

It was a blast! We had our "last" NKOTB blowout weekend! We met Donnie, some new friends and had great laughs! And the best part, DH says I don't have to sell our RCMH tickets!

It looks like the last day of school is the 18th and we will leave the 19th for FL. We will stop on our way in NY for the show and then continue on! I tried to show DH videos from the show and he says in mock horror...no I don't want to see them, it will ruin the surprise! Geek!

I told him I have now seen NKOTB 8 times, 9 at RCMH and I need to make it a perfect 10. He says the cruise will be #10.

Oh yeah...I forgot this part. Shelby, who can make friend with anybody, ended up chatting with a guy from the Apple store there. We met him Friday night and he said he would be going to Shrine too. We didn't see him, but he says he ended up in the VIP area with the guys. He also says he heard a rumor that NKOTB and the Backstreet Boys are planning a big tour together. I hope not!! He said he heard it was a done deal.

Sounds like a fun weekend, ladies! I think my friend Sadie would get along well with your friend. She is a magnet as well. During the first tour in 2008 Robo was in love with her!

NKOTB and the BSB? I hope not. I really don't care for them. I much prefered N*Sync! I heard one time the BSB offered to open for the New Kids but NKOTB turned them down. Good move if it is true.

Thanks for the recap! I have a friend like that too. I've always wanted to be outgoing like that, but it's just not in the cards.

I hope they don't tour with BSB's. Not a fan in the least.

Hmmm....an after party at MIXX. I think if you want to get at all close to the boys you need to get a table with bottle service in the VIP section. I don't drink so bottle service is NUTS!! I'm not sure though.....

Your friend Shelby is lucky!!! I've seen NKOTB the same amount of times as you. AC will be number 9 and RCMH will make it an even 10. I'm hoping to do the cruise next year as well. We'll see!

I heard. I'm not feeling it. I would love to go but I'll be driving down there and back on Friday, working Saturday morning, and then I'd have to drive down again. Meh. And it's free admission only if you have a ticket to the show which I don't and I don't really have the money to spend on another one! My sister wants to go but I shot it down. Who knows if she'll go though? I'm going to see SATC2 that night.

I got an email that said you can get 2 free tickets to Saturday's show at the Borgata. I went in and tried it (just for the heck of it, I won't be going) and it works!!! You just have to pay $1 to print the tix at home or $3 for WILL CALL.
