DISer chapter of NKOTB anonymous, part deux... we don't want an intervention!!!

Hey ladies,
Just checking in with everyone. Crystal, I can completely understand your need to book a vacation to someplace warm with the weather we're getting in New England. I haaaaaaate winter time...it's just dark, windy, cold, grey, it's really depressing. I'm looking forward to my own little April vacation! No NKOTB cruise but it IS a VH1 cruise. It was literally about half the price, and there are some pretty good bands playing. I'm a Lifehouse fan, so seeing them should be fun. I also tend to think it will be a little less...shall we say...dramatic? Some of those ladies last May..... Plus it's 3 days longer and juuuuuuust before Spring finals. Which could actually be a welcome break before studying, or it could be a disaster trying to finish final projects while on vacation. Fingers crossed it works out. I start class again next week, so hopefully I get an idea when I get my syllabus. April 13 will be coming quick though, and I feel like a moose after all my holiday gorging. I'm in super strict diet/work out mode until then.

Would be fun for the boys to come to Boston again to do their screening, but I won't hold out much hope for getting tickets. I think my NKOTB Ticket Luck has worn thin...didn't get the cruise, HOB, or Joe Mac tickets. I've had my fair share of experiences, though, so I can't be remotely bitter.

MY UPDATE!

As most know from Twitter, My DH has been "promoted" to a position that has him living out of Reno, NV. I am still in Dallas with both boys. So I have been more than Busy with all the packing and all the fun that goes with him moving.

He started his new position on Jan 4 so that meant the boys and I took a 3 day road trip with him to get his car to Reno. It was a great experience all in all. We stayed in his apartment once we got in Reno. Which BTW totally lucked out on. We used Apartmentguide.com to find it and it was everything and more than what the website said. Nice, Big 1 bedroom apartment with washer and dryer already in there. SCORE!!

The boys and I flew home yesterday from Reno which I was completely worried about. But boys and I did just fine. EVen youngest with Autism didnt have a MAjor meltdown a few small ones but no biggie.

With my Brother in Iraq, My dh out of state,and trying this whole Single parent think (sort of) I have just been seeing Double.

But Good news is Thursday My Niece will finally be here- Too bad my brother cant get here from Iraq until the 25th so he will miss her birth but will get to spend some time with her before returning to Iraq

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayer that are sent my way daily. They really do help me through the tough days. You all are an amazing bunch of women and I am so Thankful to have found you all Via NKOTB!

Hey girls! Just aquick hello while I have a chance to be on the computer. My laptop cord is toast so I am on DH's since the desktop has already been packed up. We are Texas bound next week! Can't wait, the weather here has been AWFUL! High temps below zero, lots of snow, wind and no school since 1:10 on Wednesday afternoon! Poor kids are going nuts! Hope everyone is well. So sorry to hear about your losses.

Just wanted to give you some hope....I had to take progesterone. I tried to get pregnant for 11 months the second time around and NOTHING. I started taking progesterone and got pregnant right away and all was fine. Keep that chin up!!!

Our stupid house that we are trying to sell got broken into on New Year's Eve. We were at my parents house. We gave the list to the insurance company today...they took $10k worth of stuff! Hopefully we'll get a good amount back but for right now I am on DH's computer which was too big and old for them to take and it stinks! It is so slow! I can only use one webpage at a time! No more having several windows open at the same time!

On another note, I am hurting ladies! I slipped on some ice at Jay's dad's on Saturday night and broke my poor butt! I don't know if I've bruised or broken my tailbone but it hurts like crazy. I can't bend over, I'm ok once I'm sitting or lying on my side but getting in that position HURTS! I'm a mess. Wyatt has been fighting a sore throat all weekend. We had dinner at my mom's last night (like just about every Sunday night) and he normally stays over then she takes him to school on Monday. Well last night we took his temp b/c he felt warm and it was 102.7. He decided to stay there anyway so he could just relax without Carson bugging him. LOL What a weekend.

Awwww, Erin!! I'm sorry you fell and got hurt! OUCH!!! If it continues you better get it checked out. Sorry to hear Wyatt is sick too. I can't wait for warmer weather and less sickness!!

Becca came home from school on Friday with pink eye. We went to the Dr and got drops. By Saturday night the eye was much better but her ears hurt and she had a fever. She still has a fever. So, we get to go back to the Dr and pay another copay. I'm so thrilled.

As for the NKOTB thing, I wasn't planning on going because I can't be shelling out any extra money right now. But as it turns out, it's Becca's dance recital night anyway.
