YAY!! Sounds like a fantastic time!!! So glad you shared it with us AND posted again! It's been ages!!!!

Awesomepics. I was just telling my husband this weekend about the NKOTB concert way back in the day that included a Christmas portion. I also threatened that the ride to Louisiana tomorrow will include "Funky Funky Christmas." he he.
Happy holidays, girls! I included Jonas's first Santa pic. He will be one month tomorrow ... I can't believe it! Melody, recognize something?

What a cutie!! Boy, Santa looks like he isn't a day over 30! :lmao:

Hi everyone!!!! How are you all? I'm posting from work but this is a rare day when we have enough seats for everyone that is here. The unemployment office is a BUSY place.

This past weekend Jay and I made the decision for me to quit my job. It was hard to decide but it's going to be for the best. I'm not making enough money to make it worth paying for daycare for Carson, before & after school care for Wyatt, gas, putting over 60 miles a day on my poor car AND getting the kids up and out of the house by 640am every morning. I love my job so I'm really sad about this. Carson loves his daycare so that's sad too. But in the end, the $50 a week or so I had to contribute to the family fund after paying all that stuff just isn't worth it at this point. So, we'll be back to a 1 income family and I'll be able to spend more time with the kids. I'm going to miss working though.

Carson will be going to preschool through our school district at least 1 day a week for half a day starting at the end of January. He will get speech therapy there instead of the therapist going to his daycare. So he's going to miss his daycare provider and friends there, but will get to make new ones. I already promised we'd still go visit Miss Kelly, who just happens to be one of my oldest, best friends. LOL

We are finally ready for Christmas, but it was a last minute push. LOL I'm working today until at least 430pm, then it's off for 3 days. My last day here is January 5th...I'm excited, nervous and sad all at the same time!!!

That is a bummer since you loved your job so much, but you will get to spend more time with the kids and more importantly, us here on the Dis. :lmao:

Glad you're all ready for Christmas. My husband is out shopping right now. He's a freak. He does this EVERY year, waits until the last possible second and then goes out. But all he has to get are stocking gifts for myself and the pets. I take care of everyone else and he and I don't exchange gifts. (well, I did pick him up something sort of small)

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL Christmas!!!!:santa:

Elena... awesome pics and recap! Looks like you had a great time!

Angey... Jonas is sooooo cute!

Erin... sorry about your job, I know you loved it. But Shelby is right, now you get to spend more time with us on the DIS!:rotfl:

Merry day after Christmas! Hope everyone had a joyous holiday! Ours was great despite lots of snow and ice and a period of time without electricity because of it! We were still able to make it to church on Christmas Eve with DH's family but cut the evening short so we could ake the 25 mile drive home. the roads were pretty ugly at that point. My parents drive a rear wheel drive car, so they were snowed in but Brian went and picked them p and brough them to our house yesterday. 2009 willl be a memorable Christmas becuae of the weather, that's for sure! Looks like next Christmas we will be in Hawaii if Brian is able to get the vacation time! His parents and his god-parents are celebrating their 50th anniversary in July of 2010 and June of 2011. For their 25th anniversary both couples went to Hawaii to celebrate and they want to do it again for their 50th but take the whole family! I hope we get to go!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I am taking the girls and my nieces to see Alvin and the Chipmunks this afternoon. Wish me luck... me and 5 kids at the movie!

Hi girls! I just wanted to pop in and say hello! Hope that everyone had a great holiday. My SIL got me a great gift. She found a mint condition copy of 16 Magazine from January 1990. Jordan Knight is on the cover and the centerfold is...you guessed it! NKOTB! I died when I unwrapped it :rotfl: Johnny Depp is also in there from his 21 Jump Street days. He looks the same! That man has not aged! GORGEOUS!

If I don't talk to you girls before 2010, Happy New Year!

I've been so MIA! I've been on vacation from work since December 18, and usually I get on here most during my lunch hour. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Santa certainly spoiled me rotten. Elena, thank you so much for the report! You girls lucked out and sounded like you had a wonderful time. It's tough to watch all those HOB videos on youtube because I thought I'd really be there, but those darn boys just sell everything out too quickly. I hope you all have a lovely New Year's Eve! I think it will be a quiet one here for me. :goodvibes

Well, it's about time you posted again, Kim. Glad to hear Santa spoiled you. I feel the same way!

We had a wonderful Christmas but now I can fully focus on our Feb trip to St Lucia. I am SOOOOO looking forward to that. We have two other couples meeting us there, one from Arizona and the other from Oregon. The only time we see each other is when we meet up in the Caribbean so I am SOOOO excited. (we met in the Caribbean)

I've been dieting and going to kick it in full gear starting tomorrow. Tonight for NYE we always stay in, watch movies, make chocolate fondue and have munchies. :)

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL NYE and that 2010 is FANTASTIC.

Jenny - I almost forgot...LOVE the Christmas gift! LOL

Angey-adorable little guy!
Jenny- what a great gift!

Erin- that stinks about your job, but DH and I have discussed that for the future too!

Kim- I feel the same way about the cruise! Darn it, didn't get to go either time...although I am on the waitlist for this year and I am hoping it comes through! Are you going to the Joey Mac solo show in Boston on Jan. 14?

I haven't been on too much lately. I think I am depressed about this whole TTC thing. I can't remember if I posted in May, but we lost our first pregnancy at 11 weeks. We start trying again in Oct and got pregnant. And lost that one too. My Dr. office has been horrible as far as communication goes! They scheduled a procedure for me and didn't call to tell me when it was and I missed it! :headache: The Dr. did a bunch of tests and found that maybe it has to do with my luteal phase so now I will be taking progesterone but it may or may not be covered by insurance, they don't know. And it could be VERY expensive. It is just such an emotional rollercoaster and I am afraid that I won't be able to handle it if we lose another one!

But on the brightside we had someone come look at our house yesterday! He wants to tear it down and put something else in. That's ok...just buy it ha ha!:rotfl:

After my sad pity party post....

I hope everyone has a great New Year! Big NKOTB things to come in the new year I hope!

So sorry to hear about your losses. :(

Just wanted to give you some hope....I had to take progesterone. I tried to get pregnant for 11 months the second time around and NOTHING. I started taking progesterone and got pregnant right away and all was fine. Keep that chin up!!!

Happy New Year, ladies! Hope that you are all celebrating with loved ones. Here's to much happiness for all of us in 2010! Cheers!!!

I have also been completely MIA from the dis lately. I'm on FB a lot but haven't come on her for awhile. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and is enjoying their new year's eve with their loved one's.

Happy New Year everyone and here's to lots of NKOTB fun in 2010!!!! After all the stories, I'm hoping that there is "magical misletoe" at every NKOTB show.

Hello Ladies! I haven't been on here in forever. Luckily, I only had a few pages to catch up on though. I think we all spend more time on Twitter and Facebook now! It sounds like everyone had good holidays. Now that it's 2010, I can't wait to hear what all these nkotb "surprises" are for this year! I just pray there isn't a ton of money involved! We are doing something new with our finances to better live within our means, so I will have to use my "own" money for anything nkotb. :headache: Luckily, my in-laws gave me a $100 Visa card for Christmas :banana:so guess what I'm saving that for?!

Angey - Jonas is adorable! Thanks for posting the pic of him in that outfit :) I also noticed one on FB in one of the others.

Elena - Thanks for the report and pics of HOB! I loved watching all the youtube videos of that night. It looked like SO much fun! Wish I could have been there!

ilovefh - I'm so sorry about your losses. I hope you have success with your new treatment.

Erin - That's a bummer about the job, but it sounds like it's the best decision. And I'm sure your kids will love spending more time with you anyway.

Hate to say it cause I love the boys but all of their "surprises" cost a significant amount of $$$! They know how to milk this reunion!

Just had to come on and tell you all that we are going back to Disney in April. I finally caved after getting nearly 2 feet of snow over the weekend and booked a vacation to somewhere warm. I have never been to Disney in April and we are so excited. Braelynn has a week off from school in April so I figured what better time to do. It seems like it is not too terribly busy that time of year and I booked a package so I will get a $750 gift card from Disney to boot.

Melody and Jenny......I completely agree, those boys are expensive.....but soooooo worth every penny!!!! Happy saving for NKOTB 2010!!!!!

What are the boys up to now? I must have missed it....are they supposed to be announcing something??? Although, I am quite sure I won't be spending any money on anything NKOTB. :sad1:

Awesome! I have gone in April and I don't know if it was a freak thing but it was packed when I went. It was the end of April 2007. Was Easter around the end of April that year? That could have been why. It was nice and hot out too! ;)

They are expensive but I usually end up paying the money!! :rotfl:

They announced that the top 3 cities that demand them are going to hold a FREE screening of their DVD, with the boys in attendance. So far Boston, NYC, and I forgot the other city are in the lead.
