I still have not gotten the from my husband to book our Vegas trip. Now he is saying it might be Next week before he knows. I so wish he didnt HAVE to look good for his boss right now. But his contract does end at the end of July and he will possibly get Hired on for the company instead of contractor in August so we can not BURN bridges a Job is much more important than a Vegas trip. I am GROWN UP enough to know this. ha ha - even tho I am about ready to say Forget it isnt worth all the waiting - just tell me the day before if I need to pack or not.

Houston is still a possiblity also for me- But still again nothing in Stone just yet. I will keep you ladies posted-

I won't know for a week or two if I am going to the Texas shows. Right now it depends on whether or not my BFF can go. Her mom is much worse than we originally thought. I talked to her last night and we aren't even making travel plans for Wichita until she knows how her mom reacts to treatment.

I have tix to both shows. I feel like I am getting a cold, so rain tomorrow would really suck. Thankfully we'll have a roof over our heads on Saturday.

Yes, it is. Her condition is more advanced than originally thought. Sadie has been and will continue to go home on weekends to help her parents. Her mom is already in so much pain it is nearly impossible for her to do normal things. She has started an aggressive treatment so they are waiting to see how she reacts to that. Won't have any more info for about 3 months when she goes back up to Mayo.

I hate to make any NKOTB plans without her, she is my partner in crime! I spent the whole night at the concert in Baltimore on the phone with her when she wasn't at that one. I have ruled out Australia because of it, plus there are so many rumors about that tour being cancelled. Hopefully TX works out, at the very least Wichita... but I would rather go to TX!

I totally understand about not making the plans. I am really starting to Doubt Vegas is going to happen which makes me sad- I would love to meet your friend. But Maybe they (DH & Boss) will surprise me. So I am going to just try to STOP thinking about it and stop looking up flights ETC. Until I get actual word. The part that stinks is I was so on the Fence about spending the $ to go and it was a hard decision, Now I am like COME on with it, let me book it. Got an offer to ride with DHcoworkers wife to Houston but never met her before - still dont know. Still trying to talk Sister and BFF into that Houston adventure.

If we DO decide to go to Texas, we will fly in on the day of the Dallas show. It is the same day that we come back from vacation, so I have to drive through Minneapolis, may as well hop on a plane! The kids can come back to Iowa with my inlaws. It is way cheaper to fly into Dallas than Houston, so we may as well go to both shows if we make the trip!!! We have a friend that used to be on the dance team with us in college and she just moved to Houston and was a NKOTB fan back in the day. She hasn't been to a show yet and is one of the people that was a fan then but is too cool now . We will drag her with us and she will be squealing like a teenager in no time at all! So, it is a great plan... it just has to work out!!! I would LOVE to be at the last show of the tour!

THE CONCERT WAS AMAZING!!!! I tried not to read up on it a lot beforehand so I could be surprised, most of it was new to me.

It was at an outdoor venue (partially covered) and we had lawn seats. Unfortunately thunderstorms were threatening all day, so we came prepared with our rain gear. We got there in time for Jesse McCartney, who seemed to be the reason a lot of little girls were there. We spent this time walking around and meeting up with people I knew who were at the show.

We met up with a friend of mine who is a local DJ on a Top 40 station. She had just come from interviewing the guys (!!!!!) and said they were awesome!! She said that each of them completely ignored her when she tried to shake their hands and went in for big hugs instead. As we were standing there she got a phone call from one of her coworkers that JORDAN KNIGHT WAS TWITTERING ABOUT HER!! We started jumping up and down like idiots. He was asking where she was (even though he was calling her Kate and her name is Cathy, but freaking close enough). She kept responding, but nothing came of it. She was hoping they wanted her to hang out again or something. I told her it didn't really matter, since Jordan Knight knew who she was!!

We got back to our seats and waited for the show to start. About 15 minutes before, they opened up the pavillion seats for anyone who wanted to sit there since a lot of them hadn't sold (I think this was probably due to the fact that lawn was only $10). By the time we would have made it down there, we would have been in the back seats, which weren't under any cover. It didn't make a lot of sense to do that, so we just stayed put. Maybe 5 minutes later the rain started. And man did it ever rain!!! I was at a NKOTB concert, so I really could care less at that point.

It was finally show time and I was going nuts at that point!! They did the Full Service Tour set list, which I'm sure all of you have seen by now. Some of the extras for Pittsburgh, Donnie was talking with the audience and claimed he needed a towel for the sweat. He reached down and grabbed a towel that said "GO PENS" on it, since the Pens play for the Stanley Cup tonight. The audience went INSANE. He did a little dialogue about how this must be what it's like to live in a city that has won 2 Superbowls in the past few years and is now playing for the cup.

My favorite song is Cover Girl, and I was SO bummed that they didn't play the whole thing. They made up for it when they sang Tonight (favorite #2).

At the end they brought their kiddos out on stage with them, and I thought that was about the cutest thing ever. Donnie's son kept saying "Thank you very much, Pittsburgh!!!"

I got to bed around 1:30 and was up for work by 6, but I'm still running on adrenaline, so I'll be ok for a while. I got soaked, I lost my voice, I sat in a TON of traffic, but I had the time of my life. Now I'm trying to figure out if there are any other concerts I'm willing to drive to....

We're in sec 402 row A. I had great seats for Camden so I went cheap for this show. I wasn't even planning to go originally. I'll upgrade and sit with you!

anyway girls I am still on for those of you that has been, you know when I say that when my camera died right before they did "SINGLE" and Donnie popped up 5 seats from me you will understand my sheer panic that I had going on......BUT....

my BF had my back and she is burning me a disk as we speak,
O M G, i about passed out, really, girls I am a dork but I cried!!! Donnie "freakin" Wahlberg was 5 seats..... 5 seats from me
the concert was AWESOME, we had a blast I took my son as well and for an almost 10 year old he seen all the screaming girls and wants to be a New Kid when he grows up! Smart Kid!
He wore one of my hubbies old Mario Lemieux jersey's and the girls (and guys) when high fivin' him and giving him the "Let's Go Pen's" chant! he loved it!
He seen his mom act crazy and cry, but after the shock wore off he was ok!
I am going in like 5 minutes I'm going to get the disk and will post my Ddub pic's!

Hi ladies,

Glad everyone is enjoying the concerts. I've been pretty good avoiding the spoilers for the most part, but I did see that Jonathan sang Step 5 last night, so I HAD to see that. I've never seen Joey or Donnie SO excited in my life. And my goodness Jonathan is strong, holding those men up. Whew, ok gotta get that man and his muscles out of my head.

Heather, so sorry to hear about Sadie's mom. We'll continue to keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

It's been an interesting day here. I open my office this morning, unlock my door, turn on the light, and see........a GIANT COCKROACH scurrying across the floor. I screamed so loudly and jumped on my chair...where I proceeded to stay for the next hour. I got down only to let the exterminator in the building. Unfortunately they can't spray until after hours, so he could only leave some bait. Which is something...except that it drew MORE out. I was in tears at one point. I haven't seen any since about 9:30. I will NEVER be happier to hightail it out of here for the weekend. And I admit as I sit here typing, I'm STILL sitting in such a way that my feet don't touch the floor lest another critter come to play. I can deal with most bugs ok. But GIANT cockroaches running around my office, UH HUH.

Anyone have anything fun planned for the weekend? Nothing really for me. Only a couple more weeks til the semster ends, yay!

I was just reading the thread earlier today and saw you were from Pittsburgh. Boo! Maybe this just means when they come back to PIttsburgh we can meet at that concert (hoping, hoping, hoping!!). I haven't crashed from my New Kids high yet.
