Happy Thanksgiving ladies.

I was up at 3:30am today. At Meijer at 4:20. Next stop Disney Store! Then Target and an hour and half in line to check out! Then Wal Mart and home. I was exhausted. Luckily my dh is nice guy and let me nap for a few hours! :lovestruc

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and survived the after Thanksgiving shopping! We went out bright and early Friday morning and then went to a party Friday night and did not get home until 4 a.m.!:scared1: I am STILL recovering! I don't know how I used to party like that in college!

It is snowing, here. Wish I would have gone to a NKOTB show in Mexico this week! I could use a little sunshine! Speaking of that, are you back, Shelby? How was your vacation? And Crystal and Angey... happy packing!!!

Well, I broke a cardinal rule ... I went shopping on Black Friday. Grant it, it wasn't until 10:30 and I only really wanted to go one place, but I still did it. At least I got a pair of $90 shoes for $20 and that is all I wanted.
On a more "crazy and like me note," I scored tickets to the Disney World Christmas Parade taping for Saturday. It starts at 7 a.m. .... ooof!

Congrats on both!!!:woohoo:

Heather - yes, I'm back!! Got home last night. It was FANTASTIC!!!:) If it were up to me, I'd live there. It's just so gorgeous. It's where my hubby and I HOPE to retire one day.

How is everyone??? I was happy to come home and watch my DVR'd AMA's and see my boys!!! LOVED seeing them on our big TV instead of watching them on my laptop like I did on vacation. They looked great and sounded great. They seemed a little nervous to me which I thought was cute. And Jon was smiling! That made me happy. :) I loved how in the beginning when they were announcing the names of who would be performing, the only name that got a reaction was NKOTB!!!  That had to make them feel great!

Well, now that I'm home I have to switch it into Christmas mode! I just ordered our Christmas cards, I made them myself, sort of a 'year in review' card with a lot of pictures of us throughout 2008. I guess I need to make a list of people that I need to buy for, I'm SOOO behind!!!! :scared1:

Shelby

Welcome back Shelby! They did rock the AMA didnt they

I know what you mean about living there, we went to Maui a couple years ago and we wanted to stay. I told my hubby we are soooooo retiring here, nice, sunny, warm tropical breezes ahhhhh thats the life....:sunny:

and now back to rain/snow drizzle...:surfweb:

I am almost done shopping! Just a few more things for my son and gotta pick up candy for my FIL.
We went today and still got some good deals, I can see the end in sight! :rotfl:

Now I just got to wrap :sad2:

Nice to have ya back Shelby and for the girls in WDW have a Mickey Bar for us! :mickeybar

Today I'm starting the South Beach Diet. :headache: Over the last 10 months or so, I've allowed my weight to gradually creep up and up. SO, after eating like a complete pig on our all inclusive vacation, I'm home and READY TO GO!! I haven't felt like myself for awhile now. I feel very unhappy with ME. I've just eaten anything and everything for months! So, it's time. Let's just say, I got my mind right. ;)

I may come on here and whine, just ignore me. 2 weeks without carbs/sugar can be a little tough at times. But I've done it before with GREAT results! Wish me luck!!!

Shelby

GOOD LUCK.

I know I cant do the South Beach Diet. I have tried. No deal. So MORE power to you. :thumbsup2

I informed my husband I was going to start some sort of diet plan, So I could be "HOT" for when NKOTB came back to Texas. Of course, he rolled his eyes:rolleyes: and said "whatever". Then told me Donnie was "cheating" on ALL OF US. Since he took some girl to the Lakers/Mavs game on Friday. Of course, I didnt watch the basketball game so I had to do some GOOGLING. :confused3 (I guess he can have a girl friend since we all have husbands) haha

Shelby, I lost 22 pounds a few years back (and have mostly kept it off) between a daily hour of exercise on weekdays and following a diabetic diet, which is basically a well-rounded diet. I say "mostly kept it off" because I became laxed in the last five years. But since doing this, I eat a lot healthier and even without daily exercise, am still in my goal size.
The best thing about it was I never had to skip sugar or carbs (I would have ended up hurting someone if I did!).
I have the PDF on my computer at all times. Here's a link if you want it.

I can't believe Donnie had some OTHER woman with him. How could he????:sad2: He's still adorable though, gotta love that man. ;)

I did the South Beach Diet before when I had about 10 lbs to lose. I lost 7 the first week. It was great! Plus, you lose the weight in your stomach area first. That's where I need to lose it! Ever since my hysterectomy that is the spot that gains weight first. :sad2: It sucks.

For me, I need to do something where I eliminate sugar because if I don't, it's too easy for me to have some here and there and before I know it, I'm back to eating like a pig. I've done Weight Watchers before too and that works okay, but I can only get down to a certain weight with it and then I stall.

Well, I'm off to eat my breakfast which consists of eggs. EWWW! Not my favorite but it's protein and that's what I need to have for the first two weeks. :scared1: I have another vacation coming up in February and I want to be feeling a LOT better about myself by then.

Shelby

P.S. angey - thanks for the PDF, it reminds me of Weight Watchers.

I need a "butt-area minimizer" diet.
Then again, hmmmm ...

With her pretty lips and her big ‘ol hips
It’s getting hotter when she touch me with her fingertips
And your sexy eyes and them big ‘ol thighs
It’s getting hotter like The Block up in the summertime

:rotfl:

Every time I hear those lyrics I swear he's talking about me. :lmao:

I just made a gift for my sister on Snapfish. It's a mug with a shot of Jordan singing Baby I Believe in You sans shirt on it and it says "Before Justin, There was Jordan." Just thought I'd share ;)

Do you think when she's drinking out of it, she'll be licking the side of the mug? :rolleyes1

Shelby

"oh, did I spill more coffee down the side? No need for a napkin ... I'll get it."
:p SLURP! :p

NKOTB are exhausted:(
Here is an article from All Headline News.

(I hope they get some good rest now. Hopefully the next tour will have more rest between dates so they can catch up on sleep!)

NKOTB Star Donnie Wahlberg Nearly Died After Falling Asleep While Driving

December 1, 2008 7:37 a.m. EST

Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer
Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - New Kids On The Block star Donnie Wahlberg nearly died after falling asleep at the wheel of his car.

The 39-year-old singer - who revealed he is "exhausted" after reuniting with the 90s band for a staggering 49 concerts - briefly closed his eyes while he was driving home following a performance last week.

He said: "I nearly crashed my car last week after the show. I was driving from San Diego to Los Angeles and I had been on the road for three hours. I was so tired that my eyes kept closing. Then I fell asleep at the wheel and it was raining."

"I was like, 'Whoa,' and I have been quiet ever since. I'm so tired."

Donnie isn't the only member of the band to be feeling the pressure of the lengthy tour.

Jordan Knight has revealed the group have employed massage therapists to help them stay relaxed during their grueling schedule.

He added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "We have got masseuses as you have got to take care of yourselves!"
