DisDivas & Family Mini Meet October 23-25, 2009! (the *NEW* Version 2.0)

Just popping in to say hello to everyone! I don't think I've posted in forever. Still trying to recover from a broken foot. I got off of the crutches and walking around in one of those lovely terminator type black boots early this week just in time for DS to have totally unexpected sinus surgery for a rare sinus condition that our ENT discovered the week before. Thank heaven the doctor found it, but what a summer we've had. DH, DS, and I are all ready for the pixie dust and magic that October will bring. School starts here for DS this coming Thursday and then it will be Halloween at Disney before we know it. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and to Miss Sally's special birthday celebration.

Theresa, I don't know about Fantasmic!. I did see a thread today about it. The dessert seating doesn't book until 30 days out, so we still have time to see what's up with that. It's looking like it won't be open though.

I did PM Bridgette to see if she wanted me to take the thread back. I know she must be busy with school. I have stuff going on, but know I'll have some time to do it. I'm just waiting for her to write back. If I don't hear from her soon, I'll just do it because we need the lists updated before we make PS. I hope she's feeling better and is doing ok.

I'm thinking the Plaza Inn dinner should be a little later if we were planning on trying to see the fireworks from there. What do you all think?

Heather, I agree about dinner time. I think the parade (that isn't a parade, that's what some call it) is at 6 or 6:15 pm. Maybe after that? Like 6:45ish? That would be about 2 1/2 hours before the fireworks.

I know Bridgette is having internet problems at her new place, I think that's why she hasn't posted lately.

I agree with you that it finally seems like the Oct trip is almost here!

Heather... Good Idea. Bridgette is probably busy with school and has that bad connection from home. It only makes common sense for You to start a new thread so that priority seatings may be made and updates posted to the main page. You and Bridgette are playing ball with this thread. Thanks to you both for the upkeep! I know it's alot of work.

Okay don't laugh..but i think i'm going to be something else for halloween.. ...i know i've changed my mind a dozen times. Can't tell i'm excitted about this trip.

Ohh this evening i found the kewlest witch hat.. it's a vintage green satin with a wide long black veil and a gorgeous bow in the back.. and there were lllooonnnng gloves that matched.. so i picked those up and i'm going to wear my black boots and a black dress... ta da.. my costume is DoNe! Only after a million changes of what it would be.

Now i have to finish my Mom's. Please send good thoughts.. cuz you know I don't sew!

Thanks Stacie for the update post! Bridgette pm'd me back about helping her update the front. I told her she could just copy and paste your post. So, the front might be updated also. This works also though, and we can just continue to update it as we go.

My costume came in, and it's awesome! I'm surprised how nice it looks. I tried it on, and the boys didn't know what to think. You can only see my face in it. It's so much fun. I am going to have to hem it though. I'm going to be the shortest, roundest Maleficent ever!

My costume came in, and it's awesome! I'm surprised how nice it looks. I tried it on, and the boys didn't know what to think. You can only see my face in it. It's so much fun. I am going to have to hem it though. I'm going to be the shortest, roundest Maleficent ever!

Yes, I know that we have plenty of time to figure out what's going on regarding Fantasmic. My response was to answer the comment about "Now we have to find out if Fantasmic is even running .....I don't have any idea where to begin to look". I haven't had time to check through all the posts on this thread, and in case the info. from AL Lutz wasn't mentioned yet, I thought it might be helpful.
