Hi all! Thought I'd stop by to say hi and see how everyone's doing. I am caught up reading. I'll skip the "shart" conversation, thank you!!



Been pretty busy with the kids' end of year stuff and studying for the bar exam. My mom's here now, for Ethan's graduation and to help with the kids while I study. As many of you know, that's a double edged sword!

Anyway, am very excited about October. Should be alot of fun!

Gosh girls, I go on a non-Disney vacation and our Oct thread drops to page three - yikes!

I am excited because I am staying at the new GC Villas Friday night and DD is for sure coming. She was going to be in Vegas (again, I know, I know...) but changed her plans to the week before. We move to Hojo's Sat and Sun, but that's ok, we have a premium room and they are awesome!

It sounds like you're going to have a blast! I can't remember if it was you who wanted to know if anyone wanted to meet at DL before my b-day thingy on the 16th? Well if it was, then I'm going to be there from July 3-6 (I know I'm insane for going to DL on the 4th, but I won't want to be doing anything else... I'll be sad because the 4th is a huge tradition at home and my whole family will be there w/o me). I'm staying at HoJo on the 3rd because it was a last min decision and I'll save $70 by not staying at DLH that night.... then DLH on the 4th and 5th. If the AP rate is still available in a few days I might switch the 3rd to DLH. I also want to get there before the 4th because I need to activate and upgrade my Deluxe AP to Premium. Not wise to try to drive from Santa Barbara very early and accomplish all of that stuff on the 4th of July....

Nope, haven't really been thinking about my costume let alone ordering one yet. When I get back from Vegas, I will get on it.

No not yet. I'm going to wait a little bit and see if I lose any weight! I guess I can always get something tailored if I do.

Wow ladies. Found us way back on page 3! I am doing a pretrip report for my October trip with the kidlets, if anyone wants to come along for the journey. I could use a little Diva Support, as I have never finished a report, but I am going to this time for sure!

We are looking for reasonable star wars costumes if anyone knows of a source

Just popping in to say hello! I had surgery and bone grafting last week to repair a broken foot that refused to heal and even though I tried to get caught up on all the DisBoard reading, I never really managed to get through all of it. I'm in a cast up to my knee right now, can't drive, and am hoping to graduate to one of those lovely knee high black cam walker boots on Thursday. If so, then I can start driving with my left foot and I will be on top of the world. I'm very independent and, although he's taken wonderful care of me, I just hate having to have DH drive me around.

I did tie dye a white lab coat recently and have been trying to figure out a way to use it in some sort of crazy costume for the Halloween party. It turned out really cute and I'm looking forward to wearing it. I guess I could be a mad scientist or a hippie doctor or something. Who knows? I can hardly wait for October to get here!

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I broke my ankle in 2002 and suffered from what they call a non-union for 2 years. In 2004 I had major ankle reconstructive surgery then another one a year later. It's so painful! I hope you get better soon!

Thanks for the well wishes, Boo Bear! Your situation sounds much worse than mine, I've only had the broken foot/non-union for about nine months. Hope that your ankle is doing fine now!

Thanks for the well wishes, Boo Bear! Your situation sounds much worse than mine, I've only had the broken foot/non-union for about nine months. Hope that your ankle is doing fine now!

Nah. Pain is pain is pain, there's no telling how we all handle things individually. It felt weak for those 2 years and I sprained it really bad twice. The worst part was the 1st surgery for about 2 months following then for 2 weeks after the second. It was stiff for about 2 years and now it only hurts if I ding my scar on something (it's at that ouchy part of your ankle bone that just smarts every time you hit it in something.) The doc said I'll never break my ankle around that area ever again. It doesn't even bother me when the weather changes believe it or not! I really hope you get better soon. Raw bone pain and incision pain are some of the worst pain I've ever had, especially when it's so swollen and presses against the edge of the cast or brace.

No problem! You're so right about walking around DL anyway. Right now my legs are so swollen from these steroids that I can hardly bend at the ankles. I don't care if my feet stop functioning, there would hardly be anything that could keep me from my DL trip on the 3rd!
