Wow, nine days in California and the need to fit in family obligations in San Diego...
Way too much to do!
I know it would mean four hours of driving, but you gotta fit in Disneyland! How can you visit California and miss Disneyland?

We got to California on a semi-regular basis. I think we've headed over to the US at least once a year for the last 13 years. DH works for a multinational company and his job is based in Silicon Valley but we choose to live here instead. So, we've pretty much done most of the touristy things around SoCal and NorCal...and then some.
I'm thinking of spending 4 nights in SD and then heading up closer towards DLR after that.
DH and I talked about it and we're going to see if we can experience the Halloween Party at DLR. We've done MNSSHP a couple of times now.

It is great that you can visit often! I love California. Me and my wife finally realized we live in Southern California, so we have been going to all the tourist attractions that we can. It is easy to forget to visit special places that are close to where you live.
