Has anyone done Discovery Cove ... swimming with the dolphins? Do you recommend it for my family? We have DD13 and DD turning 6 while we will be in Orlando. Do you think we should wait one more year for the DD6 to be almost 7?

Is it worth the money? And did you get any good use out of the 7 day ticket for Sea World? Did you attend the Luau event they have?

Sorry for all the questions ... I just want to make an informed decision.:D

Thanks!

Thanks flyert ... I'll go there right now. Have a great time and let us know how it was!:D

Hi, we did DC last August during our visit, my sons were 10 and 6(4 months until 7), we had an absolutely fabulaous day and if someone had said as we were leaving sorry but you've got to pay more money - I would have paid, it was truly worth every penny. We spent all day from as soon as they open until when they closed at DC and could not get my 6 year old out of the fresh water snorkelling area infact he spent the rest of the holiday using his snorkel in the pool at the villa. I would say however get an all in one wet suit thingy for the Dolphin swim, as water is very cold, and youngest son found it exceptionally cold, but still even now talks about the experience. We used the passes for Seaworld 3/4 times mostly in the evening, when we had a great time. Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you very much ... I found it very helpful. I probably would not have gotten my DD6 the wet suit, just a vest. But on your advice, I will do the wet suit. Thanks again!:D

Discovery Cove is worth it. I went with my son, I believe he was 9 at the time. He won't stop talking about it and he wants to go again. We ended up going to SW about three days so we more than got our money's worth. They also give you a free lunch at DC. We got there when it opened and stayed until closing. We stayed in the water for most of the time. You really only get to swim with a dolphin for about 20 minutes and you are with a group of approx. 8 people. We ended up being with a family of four and one another person. It would have been better if the interaction was a little longer. Water is very, very cold at first but you adjust to it.

Thank you Buzz2400 ... I enjoy hearing about everyone's experiences. I have decided we will go in August. I am going to go to AAA to purchase the tickets. Thanks for your insight:D
