has anyone had their dolphin swim cancelled due to bad weather? we are going in august and I'm looking to book a day at the end of our stay (price drops!) but I'm worried that if it got cancelled we wouldn't have chance to do it another day

I think you've answered your own question. I think a safer bet is to book it a few days before the end so you have a fall-back if there's a problem (weather or otherwise)

Definitely worth leaving a few days in reserve at the end of your stay just in case.

Last year, we had a severe storm that hit around 4:15pm, but when it cleared, it looked as if people who hadn't had their dolphin swim were being taken into the water.

However, if it had been bad weather all day, they may not be able to fit you in.

When we were there the weather closed in and they had everyone out of the water for about 2 hours. Lots of people who had done their swims earlier in the day left.
They did not tell us to leave but I am not sure with regards to hurricanes etc.
if I were you op I would book it earlier in your trip and you can move it if needed. Saves paying all that money and getting excited to find you can't go.

We got ours moved to a little later on the same day but we made sure we booked it early on in the holiday in case it was cancelled altogether due to bad weather xx
