Hi all,

We are going to Disney from the 16th-23rd and then staying at Windsor Hills from the 23rd-30th. I need some advice.

Christmas Morning, my plan was to open some gifts and it include a Dolphin Swim for my teens.
I purchased tickets for our family (and the dolphin swims) for the kids for Dec. 25th. But now, I am hesitant.

We will have a 4 year with us and my DH and DD 13 and DD16. I got the swim package for three of us and the Dolphin swim for the oldest.

Now I am nervous... Is it possible it will be too cold to enjoy DC on Dec 25th. It is a pretty pricey place. I know last year it was pretty cold in Dec.

Opinions please?

Another option would be to take the kids to Universal to HP on Christmas, but I feel like that might be a bit of madness.. your thoughts?

Bring fleeces for everybody, and be prepared to spend most of your day in the water. In December the water is warmer than the air temperature. So you're biggest worry is getting dried as soon as you get out of the water, and getting on a jacket of some type. Fleeces are usually enough for Florida and just keep towels nearby.

But even when it's in the 40s you can still enjoy Discovery Cove. It's just a lot more time spent in the water.

Weather in Florida is so unpredictable especially in the winter. I have worn shorts and a t-shirt on Christmas day. It got to 80 something on Christmas day a few years ago. It can range anywhere between a high of 50-80 something. Weather really depends on cold fronts that pass through the state. If there are no fronts, then you'll get 70s-80s. But even with fronts, its very rare that it stays extremely cold. Its usually warm by afternoon. I think you'll be fine. Its a great gift! Hope you have fun!
