We are thinking about going to Florida next summer for two weeks. We are DVC owners, and may have a new contract at the Animal Kingdom DVC by then. I was thinking we might stay 5 nights (Sunday through Thursday nights) at a DVC location, then move for Friday and Saturday nights to a lcoation near Sea World, then back to DVC for the next five nights.

We would plan to spend a day at Discovery Cove, and one or more days at Sea World.

How many days would you plan to see all of Sea World thoroughly? We would have 7 day tickets if we did Discovery Cove, so we could go for several days. DD12 and I went for part of one day and could easily have spent a full day, and maybe more.

Would two full days at Sea World be overkill, if we planned to do everything, including some wait time for roller coasters, and a special meal or show?? Would we need more than 2 days? I know Discovery Cove is a one day experience (and we loved it!) but would you plan to spend the evening at SW? If you did a SW evening and the next full day, would that be ample??

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Also, where would you plan to stay?? Would you get a Disney hotel or stay somewhere off-site near Sea World? Are there options that are roughly equivalent to the Disney deluxe hotels near SW?

If you have the 7 day ticket for Sea World then you may as well make the most of it , I would go for 2 days, or you could possibly have 1 full day there and then maybe spend a couple of evenings there also.

Good idea, since you have so much time. You want to stay at the Renaissance Resort, which is literally across the street from SWF. Club would be good, because then you get breakfast and snacks.
For the July 4th weekend, they reduce rates, because this is really a business hotel.

DC takes an entire day, and when you're done, you'll be tired. SWF takes about 1.5 days to visit.

So an idea would be to pre-check in to The Renaissance at 8am the morning you visit DC. Our room was ready. Then visit DC. That night you'll be wiped out, just go to dinner and walk over to SWF to see the night Shamu show. The next day you spend at SWF.

Here's another idea. Your DC badge will get you 7 days at SWF, but if you pay a little extra, you can add BGT, and take the shuttle to that park. It's 75 miles away and takes 1.5 hours, but the shuttle leaves from SWF. You can call this number here.

2 nights at the Renaissance would do it, 3 nights if you want to visit BGT and then come back to visit SWF one more time.
