After going to Orlando many times, we are finally going to try Discovery Cove. But I have a few questions ;) .

-What month do you think is better November or August. We have a trip next month & again in August 2008. When would you go??

-If we go in November, is it to cold to walk around?? I know they provide wetsuits, but is it too cold to walk around?

-Is there anyway to pick-up the free tickets to Sea World before you go to Discovery Cove? We'd want to go to Sea World before DC.

-If I get the non-dolphin swim package, will I be able to video tape from the beach??

Thanks for your help :thumbsup2 ,
Katie

It never get cold down here in florida. Right now it is about 90 degrees. The news says that this year is going to be a hot one.

I live in Southern California and it's going to be 100 degrees today. So anytime it drops below 75 degrees, I'm cold :rotfl2: .

I know historically November has averages of 75 degrees in Orlando, but hopefully it will still be warm when we go.

If it were me, I would go both times! You are able to use your confirmation page to get into seaworld before you go to DC. You can take pictures, I don't know about video. It's pretty hard to get good shots, it is pretty far away.

Where r you from and what's cold to you? As another said, right now we're still pushing 80's inland and it was nearly 90 here on the beach today. Aug would certainly be warmer.

Unless it has changed, yes; that's what we did. Take your DC confirmation documents to special services window at SW and they give you the tickets....

Yes, spousal unit did just that, however be warned DC will have still and video photog' in the water so their stuff will be very very tempting regardless....$$$$.....

I can definitely say that it gets cold in Florida. It frosts, it even freezes. I have been at WDW in full winter gear--hat, gloves, scarf, etc. and I am from IL where it gets really cold! If you are from southern California, forget about swimming in the winter, lol! (though we always do)

To the OP: definitely save Discovery Cove for August. The water in the dolphin pool is COLD. It may be warm in November, sure--but why chance it? In August you can be sure to enjoy a wet park experience.

I would go in August. We went in July and it was good - the air was hot but the ray pools and dolphin pools are chilly for the animals. I've been to WDW in November and the air temps can be cool.

If you go to Seaworld First, just bring your confirmation for DC and they will let you in.

Thanks! I think we'll just wait for August.

We went to Orlando this February and it was freezing for me. If the weather is similiar in November, there is no way I could get in the water let alone walk around wet  .
